Feb 25,2025UIS has a few (to us (Europeans)) weird ways of working. While we were in the process of getting a working holiday visa for the two of us, it was like a 50/50 thought of 'Did we fall for a scam or not'. But, we've recieved our visa, so I can now confidently say that it's definitely not a scam. And even when we recieved our visa, we had an extra call to give us some tips and tricks before we would fly off to Canada. And they made very clear that we can always call them with any questions, even when we're in Canada. Now, that's good service, honestly. So this is how our process went: At first, you get asked to pay quite the sum of money, while you are still on the phone. This is the sum of money that you pay for their services and the amount depends on which visa you are going for. For us, it was around 1000 euro's. Without the direct payment, they will not do anything with your visa request. This felt sketchy for us but we decided to just go for it. In your online dashboard, you can upload all the details that will be needed for the visa. When you have any questions, there is a chat function which gets pretty fast replies. Basically, UIS just gathers your details and then takes care of the entire visa process for you. It takes a lot of stress away, as you basically just have to wait for UIS to tell you that your ITA has arrived. (and then follow some other instructions for the last bit) When your ITA arrives, you gotta pay the governmental fees for your visa, in a (for us) sketchy manner. UIS has to do the payment for you on their computers, but in order to do so, they need your creditcard credentials. As we were still on the 50/50 flip side that we got scammed, this made us confident that we got scammed and it made us furious. We demanded to have a call instead of chat messages and actually wanted out of the entire thing. However, Josh stayed very calm and did everything he could, to prove us it just is their regulair way of working. Including uploading screenshots of every single step they had to take before entering credit card details and everything. In the end we felt a bit safer and gave the credentials to pay those fees anyway (we recommend using Revolut as they have a one-time-use card function in the app). Apperantly, this way of paying is quite standard in both America and Canada, but to us Europeans, it felt really sketchy to randomly give your creditcard credentials. After paying the governmental fees, we had to take care of our biometrics. This is something that you have to do in your own country and can take some effort. But after we took care of this, we recieved our visa within just two weeks!!! So basically, it's just a pretty expensive service to take a lot of stress away. In hindsight, we think doing the process ourselves wouldn't be extremely hard and it would have saved us like 1000 euros per person. But, it was really luxurius to know 'I did my part, and now it's just waiting for the Visa'. So if you can spare the money, I highly recommend using UIS as it saves you a lot of stress. And if you are European like us and feel like 'hmm this is sketchy', just trust the progress. Apparently, that's just a normal way of working over there.

Feb 19,2025So I needed help figuring out the NOC code, signed up and got in touch with a representative, he suggested I send over the job description of my job for proper reference, I inquire via customer support email for follow-up, and all they did is either make me talk to another representative again, or just piss off and go look up the Canada immigration website. Well thanks for a whole lot of nothing.
