Dec 07,2024They suck! Tutors are NEVER on time. They cancel sessions without notification and half the time the tutors don’t know the information and this is from my standpoint as a CUSTOMER.

Dec 06,2024I had some issues with a particular tutor and the help center gave me prompt assistance and were very kind. I hope to use Varsity again in my next semester. One thing to be aware of is that some classes are not available for the instant tutoring option and/or the ai tutor. Make sure you ask about this when setting up your classes

Dec 06,2024This company paired me with a tutor who fit my needs and personality well. We were compatible which made the sessions go good. My tutor was awesome and let me lead the discussions. We focused on the areas that I needed help on. He was always willing to go above to answer questions and let us veer off the plan.

Dec 06,2024We found Varsity Tutors to be unreliable in preparing my 11 year-old daughter for the SSAT. On 11/14, they made big claims on the front end about the quality of their SSAT tutors and their ability to match a tutor with my daughter's availability in the evenings on Hawaii time. They then assigned us to a tutor who had a nice personality, but who was unreliable. The tutor was a no-show twice without notice for our 2-hour sessions, which was very frustrating and stressful for my 11-year old who waited online to no avail. The tutor also spent too much time seemingly uncertain about what to cover. She was not adept at assessing the particular SSAT areas my daughter needed help with. After the first no-show on 11/25, we asked for another tutor, but the process of getting Varsity Tutors to assign her a new tutor and to set up a tutoring session took too long and we felt like we had no choice but to stick with the original tutor. After the second time our tutor was a no-show for a 2-hour session on 12/2, we gave up and asked for a partial refund on 12/4. Varsity Tutors refused to refund any of my money. Thanks to Varsity Tutors, my 11 year-old daughter is not properly prepared for the 12/7 SSAT test, is more stressed out than ever about taking the exam, and probably won't score high enough to be admitted to the schools to which we applied. Using Varsity Tutors and dealing with their poor customer service was a very bad experience for us.

Dec 03,2024We have had a terrible experience with Varsity Tutors. Every tutor that was assigned to my kid never showed up on time, didn’t help with the subject and would always leave the student half way through the session. Each time we asked for a replacement tutor, we had to wait for days to get assigned a new tutor and we had the same experience with the new tutor too.

Dec 03,2024I canceled my daughter's membership but was told that she could use her remaining 7 hours of tutoring at a convenient time for her (closer to testing). My daughter tried to log on last week to schedule a session and the system requested that she updates her membership. After trying to speak with several individuals from VT about this issue they informed me that I will not be refunded, and my daughter can't use her hours that were left over. I WOULD not recommend this service, as I too work in Ed Tech and this is NOT great customer service.

Dec 03,2024Nadia W is a FANTASTIC NCLEX tutor!! I took my first attempt at the NCLEX in August 2024 after using U World & Klimek for months & unfortunately did not pass. I was left discouraged and at a loss with how to prepare as my U World results continuously said high chance of passing/on track. I figured I needed some guidance as I also took 3 years off from nursing & thought it would be useful to get real-time feedback from a tutor. I found Varisty Tutors & was paired with Nadia in September. Nadia is the NCLEX cheerleader you want supporting you!! I had 6 sessions with Nadia & she gave me the tools & motivation to keep moving forward for my second attempt at the NCLEX. She is extremely knowledgeable in how to take this test & how to approach it. Not only that, she helped me learn to calm the heck down during test taking & not to second guess myself. I took my second NCLEX attempt at the end of October 2024 & I PASSED!!! I was thrilled & am so very thankful to Nadia. If you are struggling to pass or feeling discouraged, I highly highly recommend Nadia!!
