The Velit AC works very efficiently to cool our Sprinter van. It has the right balance of power (8000 BTU) and efficiency for us to be able to have AC off-the-grid while we sleep and replenish the batteries via solar panels the next day.
My new Velit DC powered A/C works great, complete and an easy install. We are very happy with the product.
Your product is fantastic! Had the old a/c worked on three times on my tractor with no final success installed your roof air and problem solved. No more cooking while brush hogging. Thumbs up to you guys.
Excellent Excellent SERVICE! Any issue or question and they got right back to me....even a phone call too! AND The unit works GREAT! Easy installation with instructions provided. Perfect size/performance for my 144" Sprinter 2500! It's really "COOL" now! ;-)
Velit 12v RV AC shipped fast and so far very pleased with it. Draw is around 30amp/hr. Turbo is around 40amp/hr. No fuss install into standard AC opening. Easily keeps my converted ambulance cool. Quiet enough to sleep with it 5 feet above the bed. Generic AC remote is a bit annoying with buttons that don't apply but since it is easily within reach I change settings directly on the unit.
Great product, fast delivery, fair price… I think I did a good choice.
AC doesn't work very well, but customer service was really good
I purchased the Velit 24v A/C VERY HAPPY WITH THE WAY THE ORDER WENT EASY COMPANY TO DEAL WITH WOULD HAVE GIVEN FIVE STARS EXCEPT THEY SENT A 12 VOLT UNIT HOWEVER HAVE PROMISED TO GET ME A 24 VOLT REPLACEMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WILL FOLLOW UP WHEN NEW UNIT ARRIVES.
The air conditioner survived shipping ok, arrived undamaged. While the shipping box looks good the wood is very thin. The metal around the box and metal tabs you have to pry apart are micro thin and sharp as a razor. I only got a minor cut but I was cautious once I saw the danger. Unit is working OK. Velit employee Ben is very good at answering all my questions I email him.
Ac is pretty cold 🥶 does exactly what i need it to do in arizona I tow cars and the heat is unbearable this unit keeps me out 12-16 hours
All I know is if this unit stands the test of time it will be a recommendation I will be giving to all my van buddy’s in the community. It cools quickly and battery consumption is minimal on eco mode. My only gripe is the loud beep when changing temp or modes. Not sure if there is a way to shut the beep off. Oh ya and the packaging is off the charts, came in it’s own wooden crate!
The builder's opinion is that the unit is too heavy for the roof of my particular van. That is not Velit's fault. What I did not expect was the only return within 30 days if it does not work return policy. I did not even think to check the policy because...well, who doesn't have a 30 day return policy for an unopened box? I take responsibility for not checking, but I find this policy completely unreasonable. Now I have a $1700 (including shipping) unit that I cannot use.
I purchased the 12v rooftop AC for my MB Sprinter. You can tell that the unit is designed well and constructed and works well. There is some gurgling noise when it runs, often at startup, which makes sense as the freon moves through the system, but then continues sometimes while running. I wish the installation manual had more images and information, the few paragraphs in the manual is a shortfall; there were extra parts with no detail what they were for. Might be a good idea to go to an QR code/ on-line manual, that way it can be updated easily. The bolts holding the inside trim were too short, had to buy more which was not an easy task being metric, stainless and long. The way the unit attaches to the roof is smart and simple. My remote is pretty much worthless, I have to be right next to the unit for it to work and then multiple button presses are necessary to activate a function. There’re buttons on the remote that don’t do anything and hard to know what any given button does as the feedback on the remote screen doesn't seem to match the what the unit is doing. I'm used to my Maxxair fan remote working from the other end of the van with accurate feedback on the remote screen. Disappointing the remote will likely not work from the rear bed at night. You’ll need a battery to battery charger and 300AH though, so had to beef up my electrical a bit. The unit cools well, it’s been a game changer this summer in Texas with the heat, so love the unit itself.
Very easy installation and so far we’ve used it 3 times and we are very pleased
Well package and excellent quality!
Fit perfectly. Works great keeps the van cool. Great purchase!
Packaging and shipping was fantastic. Product was an easy install and worked first try.
We just got back from a July Colorado trip. The Velit ac unit did an amazing job. We only have 400ah of lithium and we didn’t have any problems running the unit. We have the unit mounted over the bed in our Sprinter. The only cons so far, is the sticker on the unit, sucks! It fell off the first night after it got rained on.
The AC unit cools and operates well. The unit does not have an air filter. Running any AC unit without an air filter will eventually clog the evaporator coil with lint which will destroy the efficiency of the unit. The evaporator coil is wet from condensed air causing the lint to stick to the coil, reducing airflow and severely impacting the cooling. It is very hard and messy to clean an AC evaporator coil. The support technician advised me they are aware of this and working on a fix. Once filter issue is resolved the unit is worthy of the highest rating.

Oct 18,2023I have ac during my van built and I don’t have to turn my car on every time I have it running. The only cons is it’s not too cold when it is a bit hot out. And also the remote is kinda confusing to use because ever time we turn it on it automatically go to Celsius.
