Mar 19,2021I purchased the battery grip to resolve two problems I was experiencing with the EOS R5, camera balance and battery anxiety (worrying about running out of power) . The issue of camera balance was resolved in an instant, with an "L" series lens on the R5 (without grip) the camera still feels front heavy, with the addition of a grip balance is restored. When holding the camera in portrait the controls are easy to find and camera control is definitely more instinctive. The battery life is also great and at the time of writing getting an additional high capacity Canon battery for free is a definite bonus. To sum up if you've got "L" series lenses and don't want to worry about battery life (and shoot a lot in portrait) this is for you.

Mar 11,2021Fantastic customer service. I placed an order for a telephoto lens that is out of stock everywhere else I looked. Later that day I had a call from Wilkinson Cameras advising that the item would have to be imported and might take longer to arrive so they understood if I would rather have a refund than wait. I explained I was happy to wait. I got an email the next morning to the same effect, apologising and explaining that it may take several weeks for the item to arrive and they understood if I wanted to cancel my order. I sent an email back explaining I was happy to wait. I received a message this morning advising my lens will be delivered in about an hours time. Really impressed with the speed of delivery for an imported item, the communication from the company and the availability of the product. I would definitely use Wilkinson Cameras again in future over other suppliers.
