Sep 07,2012Great meats,fish,cheese,dry goods and goodies from Norway delivered at my door-step,and it taste even better here. Norwegian cured lam and the best hotdogs I ever had are perfect foods for our "year-round" summers here in South Florida. Very high quality products,just like home:)

Aug 31,2012They deliver good quality goods and not too expensive. I'd like the shipping to be cheaper, but the prices on the goods itself is very good! I'd like goods like Norwegian brown cheese and the possibility to buy a cheese slicer to be there, though.

Mar 29,2012I have used this online store several times buying frozen shrimp, pinnekjoett, fiskekaker, fiskepudding, fenalaar, sylterull and many dried goods. I am totally impressed with the quality of the food and the service provided. Last time I took advantage of their free shipping (Spend $300 or more). I will continue to shop here!!

Mar 26,2012The Scandinavian Foodstore proffers a diverse and authentic selection of Scandinavian food items at relatively reasonable prices - at least compared to the few other stores and sites selling this kind of food stuff in the United States. Therefore, I recommend it to anyone seeking to buy Scandinavian food and deli items. Many of the items actually come from the various Nordic countries and possess the flavor, appearance and texture that one would expect. However, in some instances the item is a domestically-made version of the real Scandinavian food item utilizing the same recipe and ingredients (where available). Unfortunately, the downside to this is that the flavor won’t be exactly the same as the real Scandinavian item. Two examples are Willy’s version of nokkelost and gravlaks. People familiar with the taste of “ekte” (real) Norwegian nokkelost will be disappointed because it does not taste the same. It is a nice try but it is not the same! The same applies to their gravlaks. It has the overall look and texture of salmon lox along with some flavor but, it is slightly drier and quite salty. The latter aspect was rather disappointing. To be fair not all domestically-produced items suffer this fate. Some of the meat items such as Willy’s middagspolser, medisterpolser and sylterull were very good. Lastly, shipping/delivery appears to be quick and the items are well-packed. However, be advised that because of the rate structure utilized for calculating shipping costs the overall purchase price may become higher than initially aniticipated. This may negate any real savings that otherwise would have been derived from the pricing of the goods themselves.

Mar 25,2012We used to ask family members in Norway to ship some of our favorite items to us now and then, but now all we have to do is order from the Scandinavian Food Store -- and when you consider the shipping from Norway it costs much less! We have been very pleased with the selection and the prices, and we will be regular customers.

Feb 24,2012What a find. These products are so hard to find in TX. They were received on the precise date according to order/quote. I would recommend more ice packs with the frozen goods, especially to TX and other southern states. I am excited to test the products and I am only missing a case of Mack , Hansa or Ringnes Pilsener. Bud Light simply dont go with these products. Great experience and I am sure I will shop again, also probably for friends and family in the furture. I dont agree in previous comments regarding shipping. I found the shipping cost and delivery excellent (UPS).
