Sep 11,2021Used to be a good service but now they’re awful. Driving instructor kept taking 20 minute breaks out of the specified driving time and said he’d make it up but then wouldn’t. He even took a day off without booking any cover and then said “we will give you more hours in the future”… excuse me but no you won’t? We paid for an intensive week course as it needs to be done in that one week. That’s why we paid over a grand! They claim they can also get you a test 75% faster but they cannot tell you when it’s booked for and they are allowed to give you as little as 24 hours notice so if you’ve got work and can’t get out of it, tough. Customer service is awful and has a “not our problem” attitude. Would avoid for now. This was the Barnet branch. REPLY TO 5DAY: I’ve provided you with my information now. Doubt it’ll do anything considering your customer service is severely lacking. I took your course a few years back and it was great then. Shame it’s deteriorated now. SECOND REPLY TO 5DAY: Your instructor made nasty comments about the appearance of “the pupil”, asked prying insensitive questions regarding a recent death within her family, also didn’t arrange cover efficiently and we had to complain to make sure that the Tuesday session was covered! And your tests being 75% quicker is clearly not working because it’s faster to book yourself a session on the Testi app than to wait for you guys to book something (with as little as 24 hours notice). We’ve paid over a grand for your course and all your customer support says on the phone is “We can cancel the test and refund that, we won’t do anything else, we can’t give you anymore notice of the test and we can’t let you know when we will be able to book it by”. Also saying that the pupil gave 4/5 and 5/5 means nothing because you tell the instructors the same day what score the pupils gave them, why would someone give their instructor a bad review if they’ve got to sit in a car with them for 4 hours a day? Please provide an email address so we can actually discuss this, because aside from one phone number that has been no help at all, we’ve got no way of communicating with you.

Sep 10,2021Norwich Branch Starting off as a complete beginner I have come far. Although I personally am not ready to take my driving test; but this is purely due to my own nature and prior driving knowledge. This course is a fantastic introductory course into driving and I have learnt all I know to practice safely from home. My best advice is to approach the course understanding your own abilities. You will learn at the rate you can follow and in a safe manner. 5Day did everything they could to accommodate my size 4'9" and ensure I was comfortable in the car I was driving. Dawn was a great support and very patient. Greg took our theory lessons which consisted of a taught/discussed PowerPoint session each morning, followed by 2 hours of theory app in the afternoon. All questions were answered and support given. Each day we stopped in an appropriate place where we could purchase lunch and use the toilets. Lovely experience; from a nervous driver to a well equipped beginner. Thank you for your tutoring!

Sep 10,2021Definitely an intense course, but very satisfied with the results. Might not be your best option if you have a nervous disposition. Bob Merridale is a fantastic instructor and with him I have gone from never driven to test ready in 5 days. The theory section is also good, presentations are concise and cover relevant content. Many thanks to Greg for helping me with that!

Sep 10,2021Had a great week with these guys, they got me from being a guy with hardly no experience behind the wheel to being ready practically and make sure I am at my best when it comes to Theory test at the end of the week. Great instructors and great professionalism.

Sep 10,20215Day Intensive Course- Norwich Do not expect to be able to get your license at the end of this 5Day course. It is intense, draining and tiring. But it is also massively rewarding. My instructor at the Norwich branch was Steve Day and he was great. Do what he says and you will be okay. Do not take this course if you feel like you can’t handle it.

After finishing my practical lessons on a Saturday because my instructor couldn't finish my hours on the Friday (so 6day not 5) I waited a month and two weeks for my test with one lesson in-between that I had to put money towards. It was also a different car that I had for this lesson and also my test which was very concerning as a learner. I had to ask to go through the show my tell me in the new car at the test center. The female driver joke was not warmly received and I was one more "practice on your husbands gear stick" remark away from a sexual harassment complaint. I have already found a different instructor that iam paying for even though I could get FREE mentoring lessons with 5day, I'd rather not.

Sep 06,2021If I could give 0 stars I would. False advertising… I have been waiting 3 months for a test date and still have not received one. Poor service and advertisement. Overpriced. All you get is 20 hours of driving for the full course. 50£ a hour. I would recommend booking privet lessons and booking a practical with cancellations dates sites.

Sep 03,2021I have just heard from my nephew that his whole experience of this company has been terrible. he was told before booking that he would get a test at the end of the week. This is a lie, he now has to wait to get a test and will have to pay further for the car from here. He told them at the time of booking that he had passed his theory but they then booked his theory test and insisted on giving theory lessons. The place is a joke. false advertising.

Sep 03,2021The course was intensive with comprehensive teaching of practical skills as well as theory. Plenty of mock testing (both practical and theory) helped me feel more confident in my abilities. The instructors are friendly and supportive.

Sep 01,2021I’ve just passed my driving test today, everyone at 5day have been great and easy to get along with. My instructor Graham has been amazing with me and I would highly recommend him to anybody wishing to pass there test in a quick manor.

Aug 15,2021I do not recommend using 5 day. I had problems with them from the very start, from things on their website not being true to the instructor I had in the first place. My instructor did not even show up for the test on the day & I had to use a different car which I wasn’t used to - which is fine any other time, but just not on that day maybe? The Barnet centre has had about 5 managers since I’ve been passed from instructor to instructor over the last year and a half, also I’ve just seen on here that I can rebook my test myself for only £10! Not happy with the service, also still waiting for a ‘cancellation’ to come up - joke.
