5 day driving (Birmingham) have helped me to achieve a pass in my theroy test within 5 days, before the course I had no prior experience with any of the theroy and I managed to learn all of it within the time frame relatively easily. On the driving side I also found it useful as it helped enhance skills and get them too a good enough level where I feel comfortable on the road.

I'm seeing alot of reviews about 5 days service being really bad and I agree.. what also confirms that they are rude are they're responses to these complaints. Before you ask my name is Joshua moore and I took my test at Chelmsford. My instructor was absolutely rude and misleading and lied to me. Of which I recorded on my phone. I was also promised that I would the same car for the test as I did for the lessons. Which last minute changed. So when I did my test I had no idea about the machine I was driving had no time to get familiar the pedals where too close and I thought I failed when I didnt because of the mixed messages I got between 2 instructors . One sais one thing another said one thing it all got a bit confusing. I was also frustrated as they didn't advertise dvla wasn't open until after they took the money. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had with a company. So if 5 day want to reply with a accusatory message fine but I'm going to make a Complaint and if that has no solution, ombudsman.

Awful experience on my 5day course, I would not recommend it to anyone. Once my instructor had clearly decided that I wouldn’t pass my test in 5 days he became sullen and rude for the rest of my experience there. Never go with this company. Not only is it not worth the money the instructions are awful and just plain rude.

Honestly the worst customer service I have ever received. Their website is misleading, it does NOT make you aware that the DVLA is closed for practical lessons and you will have to wait 4 months after your course is finished to even get a booking. No refresher lessons. No partial refund. You basically only get 20 hours of driving lessons worth £600. Book elsewhere and save your money!!

My daughter spent her hard earnt £1000+ on this scam... a student who saved hard and had a good 4 days of driving although the days was slow... she was told umpteen times that she was good and excellent driver a fast learner and told she was ready for the test... day 5 was a whole different kettle of fish.... complaining about driving and was told she wasn’t ready at the the end of the day... these people just take your money... I will make sure I will let everyone know not to use them!!!!!! I would not recommend it’s a complete scam! Your better off giving the money to battersea dogs home

Honestly and absolute waste of time! Did my lessons in March 2020 and we went into lockdown that week. I passed my theory but heard nothing back from 5 day after contacting them many times about booking for my practical test. No measures in place for actually putting learners through there test just a money making scheme £1000 down the drain! In answer to your reply I have rung the company numerous times over the past year and got no help what so ever but will be sure to put everything in an email next time as the company also seems unable to take notes from phone calls.

I can't believe I paid more than £1,000 for this 5DAY Intensive Driving Course scam. The 1st day was ok. At the end of every class we had to rate our instructor's performance, answering a few questions on the computer, which I thought it wasn't the right thing to do. On the 2nd day, my assigned instructor was tired, angry and rude. He became nasty giving me orders. I broke into tears with frustration. I couldn't believe I had paid more that £1,000 to be treated like that. I asked him to take me back to the school. Once at the school I was told I would retake that day with another instructor (that never happened, only words. When I asked whether I could have it in writing, they said they couldn't do that). The 3rd day I was assigned a driving instructor that looked like an old very ill man. He showed no interest in my driving, but in doing the hours. The 4th day I was assigned another instructor, as the 3rd day instructor was unwell that day, this one was better. In my 5th day I was told I wasn't ready for the driving test, so... "bye bye". This driving school's advertising slogan is: "Free Lessons if you don't pass!!" What they don't tell you is that if they think you are not ready to attend the test, they don't go ahead with you and you have lost more than £1,000. PS. When I complained to 5DAY Customer Services they ignored me. Not even an apology.

Absolutely shocking! I did a course in August 2020 at the Bury St. Edmunds branch. Prior to this course I spent about 5 months practising in my own car under my parents supervision. When I arrived for my 5day course I felt confident and excited. At the end of the second day I switched instructors because I was having difficulty with his car (the instructor himself was excellent, i just struggled with his car). At the end of the second day I asked my fellow pupils if they had any tips on how to improve the scores given on my card because theirs were all higher than mine. Immediately after asking this question a different instructor (who I had never been in a car with) told me "its simple, you're not trying hard enough). I was offended by this as he had never seen me drive (he'd never even met me) and I was trying as hard as I could because I needed a license to get to work and back. On the third day I switched instructors because of the difficulty with the car (a decision I now heavily regret) to the instructor, the previous day, had told me I wasn't trying hard enough and instead had 5 months of progress undone in 3 days, costing me over £1000! The instructor was verbally aggressive, shouting and swearing at me after making mistakes. I will admit that the mistakes I made were, at times, dangerous. What upset me was the harsh language used by the instructor when reviewing these mistakes. On more than one occasion the instructor would clap his hands and shout "you need to wake up a bit!". On the fourth day of my course (Thursday) I emailed 5day to voice my complaint. 5day responded the following day and said there was nothing they could do because the instructor denied he had done anything wrong. One thing that was re-iterated during the complaint process was the fact that the instructor asked me if I had any conditions (such as anxiety) that may affect my driving performance, and I answered no. This is because, when that question was asked about 10 minutes after meeting the instructor, I did not have a nervous disposition when driving. I gained one thanks to this instructor. I strongly urge anyone who has even the slightest, teeniest little worry about learning to drive to stay far, far away from a 5day course as they will simply waste their money. I paid over £1000 for my course, at the end of which was told I was not ready to take a test, and should get private tuition instead. I did pass my theory test, but that was all I got from spending a ludicrous amount of money to be shouted and sworn at. Do not, ever, do a 5day course unless you are absolutely 100% sure you can pass in 5days. The front page of their website claims you can "Learn to drive in just 5DAYs". This is not true. If you've never driven a car before you almost certainly will not pass using this course. The same night I emailed in my complaint I also phoned the 5day office to enquire about a partial refund because I was very clearly going to require more lessons and it was because of the actions of one of their instructors. (I did not receive this refund, and as a 17 year old £1000 is VERY difficult to come by). After this course I switched to a private instructor who, after 1 lesson, decided I was ready for a test and booked it for me. Unfortunately the test was scheduled for November of 2020, so it did not go ahead, however I find it strange that after the 5day instructor claimed I was not ready to take a test (and wasted over £1000 of my money), then I have one lesson with a private instructor and the private instructor says I am ready for a test. To summarise, unless you are 100% sure that you can pass in 5days and have absolutely no nerves or worries of any kind about driving, DO NOT take a 5day course. I'd like 5day (as well as any potential customers) to read this review as maybe then I can get some of the money back that I lost.

Due to change of work hours, I'm having to need my own transport for work, so we looked up 5Day Peterborough and didn't hesitate to book the intense driving course. I wish I had known about it awhile back. Been learning to drive for 2 years but due to work I'm having to stop lessons months at a time. Having driving lessons weekly has its pros - it's cheaper and at your own time. But the major cons for me- you forget what you've learnt the following week due to lesson only lasting 1.5hrs-2hrs. With 5day, I had 4 hours each day of intense driving. Was taken to different types of roads - Country, City Centre, Dual Carriageway, Massive roundabouts which we have covered so much in the span of 5 days than my previous instructor. In the mornings, we would have 1 hour theory lessons and after the 4 hr driving, we get back to our 'classroom' and did more theory. The instructors at 5day Peterborough were great, patient and has positive approach, picky but it helps you motivate to improve yourself better. They apply examples in real life not just classroom based and it really helps paint the picture to understand how to deal with it in real life and I can apply it on my theory test. I passed my theory and hazard perception with flying colours. I couldn't be any happier! I cannot recommend 5day highly enough. The money is well worth spending! Once I've got myself sorted, I will ring up/book online through 5day to get my practical booked, as they have priority/fast track test slots which is very convenient for me! I could get a test within 10 days!

My daughter today finished her course and was extremely upset! She paid after saving for months to do this and her confidence is absolutely shot to pieces! Her instructor gave her no encouragement, was constantly stopping to get food which he ate while she drove- or tried to. She failed her theory and from coming out of the test was visibly upset and he made her drive through rush hour Bristol traffic as if it was nothing! Absolutely disgusted and disappointed

I did the driving course in Slough with Mick and Vaughn. It was a great weak were I gained so much confidence on the road and my improvement in the 5 days was brilliant. Mick was kind, enthusiastic and good humoured. I could've asked any more from the two of them! I would highly recommend it.

Done the 5 day course with Andy Brady at Manchester. Really intense but have enjoyed the experience and feel like I have come a long way since starting the driving on Monday. Was able to improve on both theory and practical aspects of driving. Alan was very helpful in the classroom and gave the most important information to work on. Really recommend.

after a couple of months out of driving lessons & a lack of confidence I booked a course with 5day in Ipswich with the hope of being driving test ready! It is now Friday & I am ready and waiting to take my test, I cannot praise the course enough and my instructor for the week Richard who has made the lessons fun, engaging and has boosted my confidence! I am so happy I decided to book with 5day as I feel ready for my test now and I have developed into a confident driver which I never thought I would be! Definitely recommend if you need that extra boost and would like to fast track your test!

I’ve really enjoyed this week, the instructors are all very helpful and easy to get along with. The theory side was taught really well and I passed my theory with 50/50 on the questions and 59/75 on hazard perception. I’d definitely recommend this course!!

The theory instructor was very good , went through every possible question and I passed my theory at the end of the week!! My driving instructor was really nice and made me feel at ease when driving. I have learnt a lot within the week and I highly recommend 5day Ipswich.

My daughter attended a 5 day course and was amazed how poor the whole set us was. She had paid the full amount yet every day the lessons finished early so did not get the instructions required and paid for. She had 2 hours of driving each day only. The driving instructor would not let them drive out of the driving school as thought to be not good for the candidates. ( How do you expect them to pass if you don't give them confidence). Her driving instructor also while driving answered her phone and had a conversation with the office of 5Day at the time ( Great lesson on how to break the law). She was told she was ready for her test. After booking her final 2 hour driving slot and her test was told one day before her instructor was no longer available and she would have to have another instructor and different car. There were parts of her test that have not been nor ever discussed for example knowing the car under the bonnet. She found this very un-nerving for herself and thus 5Day cancelled her Test for the following morning. AS part of the rules of this such poor company, because her test was cancelled and not failed they don't do the lessons free. (Nice way to get extra income). She should of sat the exam and then if she had of failed given the extra lessons she required and deserved. Would not recommend them to anyone and would go as far to go out of my way to tell people how bad of organisation they are.

I booked a 5day course at the north London (Barnet) site for December 2020. I arrived and was very surprised by the number of people travelling from all over the country to the site each day to sit in a crowded, non socially distanced room for hours at a time and then take it in turns in the car (another confined space). I informed 5day that I felt uncomfortable about the covid transmission risk but they were not understanding in the slightest and told me that they are allowed to continue with lessons under Tier 3. No flexibility for changing my course days or refund was offered. I spoke to the managing director of the company who was extremely terse with absolutely no customer service skills or ideals. Fundamentally, the set up at 5day is unsafe and worrying for anyone concerned about catching coronavirus and they are absolutely not following the spirit of the rules - they are only concerned with squeezing what they can out of their instructors and customers. Fundamentally, my disappointment is on two levels - firstly that I have to choose between putting myself and my family at risk and completing this course of lessons, and secondly, that the customer service and flexibility offered by 5day is non existent. Of course, all I received was an emailing outlining their « social distancing policy » from someone in Norwich - I just wish I had taken photos of the set up as proof. Something that is also important to note for any potential customers is that 5day is just a franchise operating via self employed driving instructors. While you get a few lectures on theory, the main emphasis of theory lessons is giving you a link to a practice app. The theory teacher can answer questions but he didn’t know or understand all the answers. For potential customers, I would advise cutting the middle man and booking intensive lessons with an individual instructor and just teaching yourself the theory using a video (save yourself a trip to the superspreader covid hotbed). Individual instructors will also be far more understanding in the event of something like this happening or illness, changed circumstances, etc. 5day on the other hand have no human compassion and are incredibly unhelpful and belittling in their interactions with customers.
