We had the best trek we could have asked for with an incredible guide Rajendra Neupane and porters Gombu and Peshal. Rajendra was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and was genuinely so easy to have as our guide. When one of our group (me!) got altitude sickness Raj lept into action and kept myself and the rest of the group safe and we still had an awesome trip. Couldn’t recommend Ace and Raj in particular any more highly!
We had the best trip hiking to EBC with our guide Rajendra Neupane who when things went a bit awry handled the situation with a calm attitude and quick decision making! He made us all feel safe and let us enjoy the hike to the utmost! Our porters Gombu and Peshal were exceptional! They helped out not only with carrying bags but helping when one of our group got sick and getting us to lower altitude, helping with food and all around vibes with the group! All in all the team were awesome and we had a great time!
Myself and our group had an absolute excellent experience on this trek, and we largely owe this to our guide Rajendra Neupene and our porters Peshal and Gombu. From day 1, the team were beyond friendly and answered any questions we had. Throughout the trek, Raj was extremely knowledgeable of the region, which significantly increased our experience. Raj and the team were available for assistance throughout the entirety of the trek, and I couldn't recommend their services any higher. Thank you again to Raj and the team.
Another great trek from Ace. This was our third trek with Ace, This time Nar, Phu and Tilicho lake and everything was brilliant, from the office organisation with Prem and Sujan to the actual trek itself with our guide Maddie and Ramesh our porter. I would thoroughly recommend Ace.
This was my second time working with Ace...my first time was in 2022 for the EBC Trek. In my review then I showered praise on the company, and I'm glad to see that in the preceding years they've maintained that level of excellence. They proved yet again how adaptable they are, as I signed up to do Island Peak late season with very little lead up, and they put the plan together with the odd timing I gave them. I ended up being alone for this, no group. Despite that, they treated my trip the same as if it were a full group...no concessions were made to the quality of accommodations of the trek. I had three people directly responsible for me: Porter: Dileep Climbing Guide: Pemba Head Guide: Rajan All three were wonderful. Dileep was always there to help ease my transitions, take on more of the load when needed, and share a laugh with. Pemba kept me safe on Island Peak itself, making sure I made it on and off the mountain intact. Rajan was a wonderful lead, sharing deep conversations and keeping me locked in a perfect pace. He made absolutely certain that things went as smoothly as possible, and his experience as a guide comes through clearly. Truly an honor to have met and worked with these gentlemen...they made the trip something I'll remember forever. Side note worth mentioning...I came during my birthday, but didn't tell them that specifically. It was noticed, and they surprised me with a cake that evening. It was a genuinely nice extra touch, and speaks to the attention to detail these guys have.
A massive thanks to Pasang Sherpa, Hira, Gombu and Rabin. This was my second time trekking with Pasang Sherpa, and my third time with Ace The Himalaya. So I can guarantee you will have an excellent experience with them. What I loved about Pasang Sherpa, Hira, Gombu and Rabin. - Very experienced and wise in the mountains - Always looking after our safety - Very professional, but also good for a joke & laugh - Very knowledgable about the local history and landscape Best parts of Ace the Himalaya: - They organise everything for you - Pre-trek emails are very informative - Highly professional - Easy to contact, always eager to help - Fast email replies
By far one of the best decisions to go with Ace. There's so much choice online and I know for sure now I made the right decision. The team lead by Pasang was amazing. Hira, the ever cheerful and kind was always there to answer questions, encourage and he always ensured we were comfortable. Gombu and Rabin were awesome. Always happy and cheerful and a real inspiration to the rest of us! Pasang was a fantastic team lead. Coming back from base camp he held back with me since I was struggling which I much appreciated. Throughout the trip he always made sure to touch base with me seeing as I was probably the one that would struggle the most with the altitude. He knows his s**t. It's nice to know your team lead has way more knowledge than even necessary. Already thoughts of doing the trek again just to see can I do better than I did this time round. I know for sure if I do again I'll be requesting the exact same team.
Trip of a lifetime. Thankyou to the entire ACE team for facilitating what was an amazing experience in Nepal. Everything was organised very well throughout our entire trip. Special mention to our trekking team. Our trekking team included Pasang (Sherpa guide), Hira (porter and training to be a guide) and other porters Gombu and Rabin. We could not have made it to Basecamp and back without these 4 people. Pasang and Hira were amazing, they both spoke excellent English and were so kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy. They were always up for a chat and had a great sense of humour which got us through those more physically difficult parts of the trek. Porters Gombu and Rabin were always positive with a smile on their face. I would highly recommend Pasang and Hira for any trek you wish to book in Nepal through ACE. They were genuine people who will no doubt elevate your trekking experience in beautiful Nepal.
Great Trek, perfectly organized ! Out Guide Rajendra Neupane and the team of Porters Dipak, Peshel and Narayan have been very kind to us all along the trek. We have happily made in to Everest Base Camp ! The views were great. We had the best time (even though the trek was quite hard ). Thank you Ace team !
Ace the Himalayas Team Guide: Pasang Sherpa Porters: Hira, Gombu, Rabin What an unreal experience—truly the trip of a lifetime! Our guide, Pasang Sherpa, was absolutely incredible. He was always attentive and managed to turn what should have been an extremely challenging journey into something that felt both achievable and rewarding. Pasang was a wealth of knowledge, confidently answering every single question we threw at him (and believe me, there were plenty!). On a more personal note, Pasang really went above and beyond for me. After reaching Everest Base Camp, I wasn’t feeling well and had to stay behind as the rest of the team, along with the porters, began the trek back to Dingboche. Pasang stayed with me, ensuring I was taken care of. He organized my food and water while I drifted in and out of sleep and even stepped in to cover the cost of a horse when I was short on cash to get me to the next stop. He didn’t once ask for repayment and probably wouldn’t have brought it up if I hadn’t done so myself. Pasang is, without a doubt, the best guide I’ve ever had in all my travels. Pasang’s reliability didn’t stop there. Thanks to his local connections and calm demeanor, we managed to catch the last flight out of Lukla on our return—right before the weather turned and canceled all subsequent flights. He kept us informed, managed expectations, and ensured everything ran smoothly. The porters—Hira, Gombu, and Rabin—were equally outstanding. Hira accompanied us for the entire hike, radiating positivity and energy that kept our spirits high, even during the most grueling parts of the trek. Despite the intense physical demands of carrying heavy loads, Hira never showed signs of fatigue and always had a smile on his face. Gombu and Rabin brought the same incredible energy, constantly going out of their way to assist with any issues we faced. Their support was invaluable; we all agreed that we couldn’t have made it to Everest Base Camp without them. Ace the Himalayas, along with Pasang, Hira, Gombu, and Rabin, made this experience unforgettable. If I ever trek the Himalayas again, I wouldn’t hesitate to request the same team—they are simply the best! Overall, this was an incredible trip, and I’m already looking forward to planning another trek with Ace in the years to come.
The entire experience was incredible, from start to finish. Everything was organised for us by Ace the Himalaya, including accommodation, food while trekking, internal flights and helicopters. Our guide Rajendra Neupane was very experienced, spoke fluent English and had completed the trek many times, so provided really good advice and briefings, so we knew what to expect. Our porters were all amazing, big shout out to Narayan, Pesal & Mahendra. The trip would not be possible without them. Highly recommend the trek and using a company like Ace the Himalaya to facilitate the journey. It’s a physically challenging trek, and the food and accommodation are basic, but the people and the views make it worthwhile.
After researching routes and trekking companies we settled on the Gokyo lakes trip with Ace the Himalaya. We couldn't be happier with the trekking company, specifically our guide Raj who was part cheerleader, counsellor, chief motivation officer 😉, and all round fixer. Whether it was checking in on us after a hard day, or getting helicopters organised at the airport so ensure a smooth trip Raj was on top of everything. Big credit to Ace for all the organisation for getting us up and down safely. We did come across other people who weren't using a trekking company, and they immediately noticed the advantage that we experienced. Other groups during the trek also commented on how good Raj was as they listened into our briefings around dinner, after a long day hiking , or at breakfast when we were preparing to leave. A huge mention to the porters who carried our gear, walked with us, and helped us with a successful trip. They are Elite humans. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ace the Himalaya, Raj as an amazing guide, Narayan as the best porter we could have wished for, and Ace in general for organising the trip and the route itself. The research paid off, we had an amazing time, and will be back
ACE, our guide Sushanta and porters Milan, Hem and Indra were fabulous. Changing weather and group conditions meant everyone had to be flexible. Sushanta and Ace made things happen and provided solutions that enabled us to complete our trek, get to EBC and have the best experience possible for a trip of a lifetime. Their advice and guidance was on point - from what was the best food to eat at different tea houses, to timings for our trek, advice on what to wear and why each day and overseeing our health - when to take Diamox and pacing ourselves on the walk. The porters were not only carrying our gear but also assisting in acclimitisation days helping up the peaks and ensuring we were all safe. Sushanta is also a pretty good photographer - knowing the good spots for the best shots! Would totally recommend ACE, Sushanta and the porters.
My wife and I embarked on the Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek with Ace the Himalaya, commencing in mid-October. We were immensely grateful for our choice of Ace the Himalayas, as they demonstrated exceptional professionalism, accessibility, and responsiveness. Their proactive approach to providing weather updates, flight delays, and alternative options was invaluable. Despite our flights from Ramechhap being canceled due to inclement weather conditions, Ace the Himalayas swiftly offered alternative helicopter options for the following day. This assistance was particularly noteworthy, as we noticed that hikers from other companies encountered difficulties in securing alternative arrangements that were also affected by the weather. Our guide, Nimesh, and assistant guide, Sher, were exceptional. Sher meticulously paced the group, ensuring their well-being and providing essential supplies at tea houses. Nimesh, the head guide, was constantly attentive to our needs, guiding us safely and efficiently despite our altitude sickness. His knowledge of the Himalayas, photographic skills, friendly demeanor, and understanding nature made him an invaluable companion. The porters, Vishal, Suman, Aayush, and Arun, played a crucial role in carrying our heavy loads and assisting us on various hikes. Their unwavering support and expertise were instrumental in our successful completion of the trek. Nimesh, along with the operations team at Ace the Himalaya, swiftly arranged our evacuation from Gorakshep on the day we concluded our EBC trek. Ace the Himalaya’s comprehensive team ensures the well-being of its clients at every tea house, stopover, and transportation point, including airports, helicopters, and city drives. Prior to the hike, they conducted a comprehensive session where Prem Khatry addressed us and provided us with exceptional gear. If you require gear rentals, they offer the finest selection. We utilized their sleeping bags, specifically rated for -15 degrees Celsius, which proved indispensable for ensuring restful nights throughout the trek. They also organized a memorable farewell dinner and presented us with certificates of completion. Additionally, they consistently secure the most suitable hotel accommodations. We are immensely grateful for our decision to choose Ace the Himalaya, and we are fortunate to have Nimesh as our guide. Their expertise and over two decades of experience in the Himalayas are truly exceptional.
We had the best time with Nimesh and his team. Nimesh and Sher took really good care of us and made sure we had a great experience and everything we need. They were well connected and always in good mood, even when it got hard Overall the trip was so good organized and I would book it again. Thanks to our porters (Bishal, Suman, Arun, Aayush) as well. Without all of them we wouldn’t have made it
I & my husband made it to EBC, I can not say thanks enough to Ace the Himalayas for excellent trips, the team are very caring, experienced, genuinely (beyond extra works, hours and incredible mountains and scenery. Nima was our guide, Charta and Teak was our porters, thank you so much! We wish you guys the best and can’t wait till we see again
My husband and I did the EBC Trek with Helicopter return from Oct 16-Oct 24, 2024. We were so glad we chose Ace the Himalayas because they were very quick to respond, and honest about the weather changes and flight delays. They were also able to arrange for backup options immediately. Our guide was Nimesh and assistant guide was Sher, and they were the best we could ask for. Sher Magar was setting the pace for the group, very proactive in tea houses and helpful in any situation. Nimesh, the head guide, was like my shadow, constantly with me as my husband and I both had high fever, cold, and altitude sickness. He was able to provide quick medication and timely advice that helped us finish the trek successfully. He’s also very knowledgeable on all things related to the Himalayas, great photographer, friendly and understanding. Special shoutout to the porters - Vishal, Suman, Aayush, Arun who did the heavy lifting for us. They even accompanied us on many hikes and helped us with our backpack on the last day and helped me navigate the rocks. Nimesh, along with operations from Ace the Himalaya were able to quickly get us out of Gorakshep on the same day we finished EBC, as we were really sick. Ace the Himalaya has an amazing team that is there to take care of all your needs at every tea house and every stop, be it airport or helicopter or driving within the city. They are prompt and quick to respond with immediate resolution. They also had a detailed session before the hike, where Prem Khatry, addressed us and provided us amazing gear. If you’re looking to rent any gear, they have the best gear, we used their sleeping bags (rated for -15 degrees Celsius) and it was crucial for us to get a good nights sleep every night during the trek. They even had a great farewell dinner and certificate of completion, and they always arrange the best hotel accommodations. We are so happy we chose Ace the Himalaya, and super lucky that Nimesh was able to guide us. They’re simply the best and have over 20+ years of experience in the Himalayas.
This was a phenomenal trip. Our guide (Ram) and assistant guide were experts in the area and in high altitude trekking. Traveling in Nepal can be stressful due to weather conditions particularly at Lukla, but Ace was adaptable and well connected to get the trip done. I think there is a great benefit going with a Nepalise based company, and Ace handled complicated logistics perfectly. It was my 40th birthday, so Ram and his team actually brought up a cake to Everest Basecamp and we had a dance party in the Khumbu Icefall! They made my 40th birthday, infinitely special. Ram was also so personable we all wanted to be around him, a true friend. The assistant guide was so joyful and hard working, taking care of us every step of the way. Consider helicopter as the most reliable way into and out of Lukla. Could not recommend Ace the Himalaya enough. जाऔं
I recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Ace The Himalaya, and it was a thrilling, unforgettable experience! The trek was challenging at times but stress-free, thanks to our fantastic guides Raj Kumar and Kali, and the porter team led by Govinda. Our group of eight had varying trekking and altitude experience, but the pace was always just right. Raj and Kali made sure to regularly check on our health and wellbeing, which was a great comfort at high altitudes. Raj’s deep knowledge of the region, its history, and the stunning landscapes we were hiking through added so much to the experience. Kali’s years as a porter meant he knew some fantastic shortcuts that helped us dodge crowded trails, making the trek feel even more personal and adventurous. Raj truly went above and beyond when he heard I my room at one of the tea houses wasn't great. Even though the place was fully booked, he somehow managed to find me a better room. His attention to detail and dedication to our comfort was exceptional. Each morning, we simply packed our bags and left them in our rooms, and by the time we reached the next stop, they were already waiting for us. Thanks to Govinda and his team, we could just focus on enjoying the journey. And wow! What a journey! The Everest Base Camp trek is a breathtaking, high-altitude adventure through the majestic Himalayas, with jaw-dropping scenery and a unique cultural experience along the way. Hiking on the Khumbu glacier, crossing suspension bridges, and trekking through small villages with the looming presence of Mt. Everest and the Khumbu Valley—it’s truly an awe-inspiring round trip. I recommend booking the EBC trek with Ace The Himalaya. And if you want the best experience possible, insist on Raj and Kali as your guides! You won’t regret it.

Jan 24,2025My friends and I did the 14 day hike to Everest Base Camp and it was absolutely amazing. The experience was made so much better and easier due to our guide Rajendra Neupane and our two porters Gombu and Peshal who were calm, cool and collected and supported us through many ups and downs. I highly recommend this to everyone!
