Jul 10,2023Nearly all my questions regarding my american identity were answered very well and very quickly. I also really appreciate the advice I got for what actions I should take in the future regarding for example my American taxes. Lastly, the Dutch of the lady I talked to was great.

Jul 06,2023they do what they say they do, not more and not less. Most emails are standard texts which makes the whole experience very impersonal. There’s no real explanation of what they are doing other than their remark to their website which provides generic information. For that the fees are fairly high as all they really do is pass on you data and inputs to a tax accountant in the US… Their “portal” is horrible - it works and serves it’s purpose, but for 21st century internet the website is not what you expect. All on all, with certain issues that make the experience awkward, overall they do as promised and the tax return is filed, so nothing to really complain about, but neither anything to be super excited about…

Apr 05,2023I came across the Americans Overseas website looking for assistance with my US Loss of Nationality process - a complex issue where competent help is hard to come by. I contacted them and since then the service has been fantastic. An appointment was quickly arranged, the woman conducting it was approachable, friendly and knowledgeable and was able to arrange support in the US. If you have similar needs, I can only recommend Americans Overseas.
