After visiting the shop and buying a mattress, the next week the very helpful salesman, Graham phoned to say the mattress was now in their warehouse. We then agreed a delivery day. Archers then texted the day before the delivery with 3 hour time slot and the mattress was delivered in the first hour of the 3 hours the following day. Great service. Which is hard to find these days.

The company is doing well. Had a good buy also staff are very friendly despite their busy schedule. Just a to say the delivery guy was very unprofessional. Called my husband a f*ucking idiot just because my husband said he wasn’t going to sign because the bed wasn’t set up. This behaviour is very bad for such a respectable company. Archers is good, mattresses I got are good and for a good buy, but I think the delivery company has to look into their staff behaviour. Really unacceptable and sad.

I spent over £5,000 at Archers Sleep Centre (Lanarkshire, Uddingston branch) on beds and mattresses, including what was supposed to be an orthopedic mattress. After a few months, I realized the mattress was far too soft and causing me severe back pain, despite the salesperson assuring me it was orthopedic. When I tried to return it, they refused, claiming it had been over six months. They then convinced me to buy another mattress, promising I could return it if it didn’t work. However, when I tried to return it within the allowed time, they suddenly changed the rules, saying I couldn’t return it because I didn’t buy a new mattress protector—despite using the one I previously purchased from them. The manager was extremely rude and dismissed my complaints, refusing to offer any solution. This company is dishonest, using deceptive sales tactics to trap customers into multiple purchases while refusing to accept returns. Avoid them at all costs!

Utterly terrible experience. I ordered an ‘Ikea’ sized mattress that was available for delivery within 48 hrs. The delivery people were unable to get it in so they said they’d put it through as a ‘failed delivery’ and return it - the charge for this on the website is £15. A phone call to customer services and I’m told this is non-returnable as it’s custom made (which it absolutely was not, all of their so called made to order mattresses are available for delivery within 48 hrs). This term is also hidden away so be very careful when ordering. After a lot of back and forth with their head office, and a phone call to citizens advice, they have refunded minus a £70 ‘return’ charge. I would not bother with this company as there are so many better ones out there. After this I ordered a mattress from another website, delivery was very straightforward and customer service was great, it isn’t that difficult to get right but Archers just haven’t got it.
