I was a little concerned after ordering from Ark then reading the reviews but the service I recieved was spot on!! I spent well over a thousand pounds on a new tank and some extras so I was nervous about that amount of money. The small items arrived by courrier on the day stated and I recieved a phone call and then a text message the evening before the delivery was due confirming the time that the new tank would be arriving. The tank arrived as stated and was put straight into the spot where it was going - not left on the road side on a pallett like some other companies do. The price of the tank was about £100 cheaper than I had seen elsewhere. The service was very friendly and helpful...I will shop with Ark again :-)

I just ordered from this company because they were about 20% cheaper then other companys on the net. I got great service and the goods arrived the next day as promised. Unfortunately the couriers had damaged the UV bulb, once I reported it to them they dealt with it in a efficient and professorial way and are sending me a replacement. Mistakes happen but its how you deal with it shows how good a company is. Will defiantly order again.

I have used arkpetsonline over the last 2 years on at least 6 occasionally, buying items from fish food, filters, light tubes and light units, twice in the last month. On every occasion the items have been dispatched the same day or next day at latest. Items have always been very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. I was a bit worried about ordering T5 & T8 light tubes through a postal service but the way these items was far more secure than i expected. Once again do not believe the lies some people are posting on here

I ordered 4 items for a new aquarium setup (Sunday night) and one of them was a 3d background so it was rather fragile. Receive instant notification and upon asking by mail how long the items should take (Monday morning), I immediately received a courteous reply saying my order will be dispatched latest on Wednesday. I was chaffed to receive an e mail by the logistics company that Arkpetsonline use on Tuesday saying my order will be delivered on Wednesday! So received the full order with a great speed and accuracy and great protective packaging. I am so truly grateful I found this company online and will be a customer for a very long time. I truly cannot understand the bad reviews I read here. Recommended! Rob

I ordered four items from arkspetsonline ; Lee’s Firebelly landing, Marina i25 internal filter, Exo Terra Aquatize 100ml and a Reptile Cave small on 31st March. On the 2nd April it went straight to ‘pending’ without any explanation so the following day I wrote and asked when will my items be dispatched? On the 4th I received a reply saying my item would be dispatched the next day. The next day came and went and my order remained on pending. A few days later I wrote to them and said I either wanted a refund or my goods by the end of the week otherwise I would report this to trades and standards. Next day I received an email saying the Firebelly landing was no longer available but was offered a part refund. By then I had read reviews and heard people had difficulties getting their money back so asked for either a full refund or to alter my order so I would get two pen pal tanks in replacement for the Firebelly Landing. Next day I received an email to say my order was going to be dispatched and later that day I received a dispatched notification. However I was shocked to read that the Aquatize was also out of stock and I was to be refunded. I wrote an email asking why had they not told me the Aquatize was also not available and said I no longer wanted my order and wished to be refunded. If the package arrived I would not accept. The next day I was asked if I would wait for the Aquatize? However when I checked their website, they where still selling the Firebelly landing (10 in stock) and the Aquatize (5 in stock). I was so shocked since several days before I was told it was no longer available yet they where claiming to have so many still in stock. I took screen captures of this and emailed back and told them that after been given continuous false information that I no longer wanted my order and wished for a full refund. They have since removed the Firebelly Landing and the package was left with my neighbour. I have told the company they will need to come and collect it! Awful, Awful company!

I should have checked online before ordering from this company.. They take your money and then don't send the goods They don't reply to any emails They don't answer the phone There in short, should be a law about companies as bad as this one. They should be closed down forthwith!

Don't go off their website reviews because amazingly, they are all good. Use google. Every poor review you can read about this company is true. After going through most of the bad points, my so called brand new tank arrived and it looked second-hand. Decided to end this transaction before weeks/months of misery and asked for a refund ( still waiting). Items were eventually picked up and true to form - no more contact from them. Going to court soon so hopefully not too long before I get my money back. So, all in all, if you enjoy a really poor service, no contact (unless you make it yourself), faulty goods and being lied to (when you do make contact), then this is the place for you. You have been warned!

Ordered items that where showing as in stock for next day delivery they take payment with order. after 10 Days no goods arrived no answer to emails, phoned told all items out of stock with no dispatched date. ask for refund told OK, after 30 day still no refund has promise again and a again

On the 28th June this year I ordered a replacement UVC filter bulb from this company..... they said it was not in stock. I chased them again.. still not in stock... I emailed them again.... no response.... I tried to ring them - surprise NO ANSWER! I am £32 down and no bulb some six months on. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from them. They were happy to take my money and fob me off until it was too late to get the credit card company to cancel/refund the payment - Great. Its not a huge amount of money but it is a fair amount all the same. I have NEVER experienced such bad online purchase treatment as with this company! STAY AWAY FROM THEM - they have certainly come across to me as crooks.

Order a load of filter parts for my turtle tank 3 weeks ago....still no products despite payment being taken immediately and one e-mail asking for a customer number. we have heard nothing since and can't get them on the phone....we will not be using arkpets again!

Ordered a replacement light fitting for my fish tank and payment was taken straight away and no information telling me the part was not in stock. 2 weeks later with no contact nor ordered part I contacted them via email and got a reply saying item was out off stock (nice of them to tell me!) and would be 2-3 weeks did I wish to wait? I replied saying yes will wait. Well as you will have guessed 3 weeks went by with no contact or ordered part arriving. I have requested a full refund and got email saying my order was no cancelled and my refund had been handed over to their accounts team. 10 days gone bye now and still no refund. I have contacted their customer services who say it can take up to 30 days to refund and when asks why? They stated they didn't know why it took so long but is in their terms and conditions. I have since used another online company for the part I require and again payment was taken in full by them, when I placed the order. An hour later I got an email from them saying the part was not in stock and did I wish to wait or do I want refunded? Due to the problems I have had with Arkpetsonline I requested a full refund and this was refunded the same day. I would not recommend Arkpetsonline to anyone. Poor stocking information, poor customer service and contact and beyond acceptable refunding policy. Santa clause will no doubt be here before I see my refund of which I'm assuming I will be getting 2-3 months interest on since its been sitting in their bank account instead of mine!

Ordered replacement light unit for a fish tank at beginning of October expecting it to be delivered a few days later, then told it was out of stock but on order and would be delivered by end of the following week. They used this same story 3 times, but still no sign of the light unit even though the money was taken from my card the day I placed the order. Fed up of waiting I cancelled the order a week ago and I am still waiting for a refund, have emailed asking for my money back but have not had any response. Poor customer service with me chasing them for updates and unacceptable that my money was not immediately refunded to my card. Would not use this company again and will continue to chase them for my refund!

Couldn't speak more highly of the service i received from arkpets on-line. The light unit for my fish tank was delivered quickly and well packaged. Best price around!! Would definitely use this company again for my fish tank requirements.

Ordered Tuesday 2nd October about 7pm all items in stock at time of order. Was kinda of expecting delivery Thursday or latest Friday. No delivery on these dates so emailed them only for them to tell me the bulb was out of stock and some of the food. They made no contact to tell me that my items were out of stock they said all would be delivered on saturday apart from bulb. Monday came and went and still no delivery various messages later still no delivery. Bulb finally arrives on friday but still no other items. Contacted them for the sixth time and she said it was dispatched but couldnt give me tracking number and said i will have to wait 10 buisness days before they can raise a claim with royal mail. There stocking information is all wrong most of my order out of stock when website says other ways rude and blunt emails and just dont care that there customer has not got the items and not bothered about keeping customers happy. Tuesday will be two weeks on with still no items. Very quick to charge my card but service overall very poor WILL NOT USE AGAIN AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU HAVE A MONTH TO WAIT FOR ITEMS

Arkonline failed to deliver a replacement lighting unit and did not contact me to let me know of any issues. They did not however fail to charge me.

Part of my Fish Pellets order was sent in a plastic bucket. This was received damaged, with some of the contents missing, I did not complain because it was not the first time I have received said parcel from you in such a condition. When I have complained in the past, I have been told that "We have no control over how the parcel is treated and sticking on a FRAGILE lable does no good at all ". I think that to pack the bucket in a plastic bag would stop the contents spilling out, at the very least. What do you think?
