Mar 23,2012We made the big mistake of ordering a marine tank from these clowns, and when it arrived damaged! And was reported in a matter of hours they denied all responsibility for it! It took three months of legal letters, trading standards investigations and loads of emails to get resolved. There was items missing from the delivery, delivery notes had our forged signature on them, nothing like our real ones, yet claimed it was signed for and that was it! Subsequently found out that trading standards are nvestigating them for illegal website terms and conditions, unfair restrictions and a variety of other issues! The customer service was awful, they were rude and abusive to both myself and my wife! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. You will regret it, as we have done over the last few months.

Mar 23,2012I have now used Ark Pets on line several times. Why? Prices are the lowest on line by far. Speed of delivery is fast (generally next day or at worst in two days) Delivery cost is very reasonable, and I generally spend at least £30 so then delivery is free. My only critisism is that I wished they would stock more Marine Aquarium equipment, then I would not but anywhere else.

Feb 28,2012Where to start with the great service? Jo (in sales?) was fantastic in helping me with issues I had placing my first order, I received e-mails notifying me of the status of the order and the order was delivered (to Ireland) in less than 48 hours. And who said customer service was dead?! And the prices are really good (roughly 40% below my local pet shop). You've got a customer for life.

Feb 28,2012Placed my order on 4th February for my new marine tank, £850 of my hard earned cash. Six days later my 'NEW' tank turned up in a van and ark pets don't employ a drivers mate, Once we lifted our tank into house and the driver left we noticed the box with the light unit in was torn, so had a little look inside to see the lights smashed. Then noticed a crack and dents in the tanks plastic rim, also paint chipped off the cabinet. I phoned ark pets and they messed us about before they said it will be changed for a 'NEW' one. This was going to happen in another weeks time, they did not turn up or even call to inform us, then the next week on the 21st feb, again did not turn up or no phone call. So far I had taken time off work 3 times to help carry the tank, they did change the first unit on the 24th feb three weeks after I placed my order and taken time off work for the 4th time. What I'm not happy about is the lies told by staff at ark and the fact that they tried to give me a broken and damaged ex display tank for £850 of my cash. I know the first tank was not new because when we opened the box there was no protective sheet around the glass, but there was on the second tank. Also the smashed light unit was inside a box inside the tank, that would not have been like that from the manufacture as it would have never passed QC. I'm 1000% sure I will never use ark pets ever again because there crap and lie.

Feb 14,2012The Aquarium I bought was 350 liters, and weighed 101kg including the stand. There is no way I could handled a curbside delivery, so I chose arkpets based on their delivery service. The delivery man was very friendly, but was not able to get the Aquarium up the stairs due to insurance. However apart from this minor disappointment, I was thrilled. The delivery was fast, the brought it into my flat, and they were there when they said they would! It's also worth noting that the price for this aquarium was almost 50% cheaper then I could find it in the local fish shops. So great service and great price!

Feb 14,2012Ark pets were tremendously helpful. They got a tank out to me (from the east of the country to almost in Wales) in the snow, and then sent out by courier the two Juwel light reflectors that I needed. They phoned me up when I left a query on their email and were courteous, kind, thoughtful and helpful. I'll use them again for anything I need and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Feb 10,2012On 5th January I ordered an aquarium for £300 and received a confirmation of the order and my payment.On the 6th I received e-mail to say order was awaiting picking as they were out of stock. I found an alternative supplier who had stock (cheaper as well) so I phoned up to cancel the order.On the 10th I received an e-mail confirming the cancellation.Several days later I phoned up to ask when I would receive my refund only to be told it could take 28 days as the request for refund had to go to the financial director who wasn't on site! I then commenced to phone up every couple of days until on 31st of Jan, my order was posted as 'refunded', but it was still 4 days later that it actually arrived in my bank account. I will not use this company ever again.

Feb 08,2012I placed an order for Miracle Mud which showed as having 15 items in stock on their website. A day later I received an email stating the order had been cancelled due to the item being discontinued. However, my bank details show they have taken the £90. I waited a couple of days to see if a refund would appear, it didn't. So I spoke to customer services who said all refunds have to go before the Director, which is stupid as it is them who cancelled the order. So I politely asked for email confirmation of my refund. I was told 'accounts are done off-site and their only contact is by email' - their attitude was on the lines of... I'll ask but I can't guarantee. I've called back but all I get now is an answering machine. The upshot of all this is its been over a week and I still haven't received my refund! I know I'll get my money back but how long will it take - a charge back takes 30days from purchase - so it looks like I'm in the business of lending money for free! I've worked for a large online retailer and I can say from experience this company has poor organisation, is lacking in procedures and treats its customers as a nuisance. Avoid avoid avoid.
