Absolute rubbish...we have had Bailey Caravans for numerous years without many problems. We have just had a 4 year old Bailey Pegasus Gt70 Verona which we planned to swap to a Bailey Vigo in October last year. Upon ordering from our local dealer we were told it would be end December but it didn't arrive until mid February and from here it was a catalyst of disasters. Our Pegasus had a serious leak in the roof which had rotted the inside timber frame and rusted the bolts which we were not aware of. We had already had numerous issues with it...from loose wiring, RCD failed, inside roof panel came off twice, loose sink...the list was endless...but this just topped it off. We thought thank god we are getting rid of it but then our dealer rang to say that our new Vigo also had faults on it so the dealer rejected it and was sending it back. They also said they had 2 other Vigos with faults that they were rejecting. Our friend has also had big issues with a Bailey caravan so it seems that the quality has deteriorated rapidly over the past few years. We have just purchased a new caravan (NOT Bailey) and we won't be even thinking about coming back within coming years unless the quality improves dramatically.
What a fantastic service we received from the customer service team. They have gone above and beyond to assist us regarding a couple of problems with our Porto. Thank you Bailey. Can't recommend you enough.
Recently I had a question regarding tightening a tap up on a Bailey autograph 765, spoke to a lady called Di on reception she kindly gave me some time and talked it through . She came up with the idea of taking the grill off and accessing it that way! But also put me through to a very helpful engineer. Thank you Di for coming up with the solution you are a star and thank you for giving me the time. Wonderful company and we love our Motorhome. Thank you Bailey Regards Andrew
Excellent service from Di, extremely knowledgeable and sorted my issues out promptly with regards to warranty work that needs carrying out. Very efficient.
I contacted Bailey of Bristol regarding a warranty issue with my motorhome. Although not a straightforward claim it was managed both promptly and professionally. It was all handled by Di in the aftercare team who was excellent.
Collected a New (2022) Bailey Unicorn V Cabrera on Saturday, really pleased with the looks, and quality. Ropers (Catterick) completed a good handover, would have given 5 stars - However, No handbook available - so I'm having to work out how to connect/purge the hot/cold water system. where is the switch for the offside exterior light?. are there any user setting for the solar panels? also what other features am I missing with no handbook? There are no handbooks for the 2022 model year on your website, please check or send me a link
First trip out to the Cotswolds a 74 mile trip. The van is a 8 ft wide Bailey Brindisi brand new . The van towed well not really knowing that its an 8ft . On arrival we found that the front side window inner surround that holds the blinds and mesh had come adrift screws had fallen out . Luckily enough I had bigger screws in my tool box so no major issue. The van has 2 spot lights with USB points .one USB point does not work . Will ring Bailey on return from trip. Over all very pleased with the van . People say wet heating is the best having had both ( personally I prefer blow heating) 2 little faults but over all well done Bailey for a very good layout well thought out . Would have scored 10 but for the 2 faults a 9 .
Bought our new Bailey Phoenix 640 in Mid December and took it for it first run out for a two night stay at a local Caravan and Motorhome site to try it all out . Everything worked as it should despite some operator errors ! It was freezing both nights but the hot water and heating worked very well and very warm
I bought a black edition bailey unicorn Cabrera in 2020 and from the get go was a nightmare. The toilet broke on 1st use. The hob glass fell off in transit. Small piece of beading refused to stay installed above hob. Solar panel not pugged in properly on roof. Electric cable for the Lights worked free of their joins causing lights to fail. Pull out bed in front room slats not installed properly and refused to extend twice. Heating took an absolute age to warm the van. Cupboard inside the front door not installed properly and i had to install 2 magnetic catches to prevent the door from flying open in transit as it did the 1st time causing glasses to smash. Also on the last tour in Scotland on the journey home the sliding partition door fell off as the plastic rollers broke. I have since got rid and purchased another bailey this time a Unicorn
I would give them 5 stars, except that they cannot even provide a manual for the caravan that is up to date, and covers the items installed on the caravan. A basic requirement and they cannot get it right. The van itself is satisfactory and is what you expect.
The Cabrera is our fourth new Bailey van and we are well happy at present (Not been out in anger yet) with what we see. The only down side is that some of the features marketed to be provided with the 2022 van are changed without advising the customer whilst waiting for the caravan to be delivered. I would assume these omissions are decided on at the factory during the build process but relayed to customers. A bit more customer focus needed by bailey.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you
Excellent service from the Aftercare Team & Engineers I raised a query this morning and the team came back to me in less than an hour It's good to know you have the support if needed
Great responses in a timely manner. Thank you!👍
BAILEY CARAVAN I overran the date for servicing my caravan as I have had health issues during the recent pandemic. I called the service desk and was immediately reassured. I received a confirmatory email stating that my warranty was not affected within minutes of my call. I have now booked a service as quickly as possible. I could no want for anything more in this support.
On my third Bailey autograph motorhome now had a couple of warranty claims and yes waiting for parts to come in but isn’t everyone been kept in the loop and should receive them soon.had problems with all 3 vans I’ve had but nothing major. I personally don’t think Bailey are any worse than other manufacturers they all have problems and issues but one thing I’ll say is you get a lot of things in a Bailey You won’t get as standard on a German motorhome and warranty has always been excellent no issues with claims that’s why I have stuck with them. I hear negative reviews but I speak as I find build quality is fine it’s a hand built van I’ve had other makes and had issues with them all.
The customer service department was so helpful in supplying a coc so I could register my caravan in France very knowledgeable and professional .
We have been away twice now and have found the Bailey Messina a lovely caravan, warm, cosy and easy to tow, we love it.
I purchased my Baily Phoenix 640+ from lady Bailey. The service from there was brilliant and the handover from Sarah was fantastic. Covered everything very well and also very knowledgeable. Couldn’t do enough in helping out with extras that was purchased. So far had two holidays in my van and no big issues as yet. All in all great from start to finish.
