So big mistake buying a Bailey autograph 79 4T.. from what I've seen and read online any Bailey Motorhome model.. I have contacted Bailey as well as the Dealer in Hitch. Venture Motorhomes & Cavavans. My problem is that a brand new motorhome really really really should not have so many issues... let alone any issues!!.. It's fabulous that they say they will look at the faults.. but basically why are they existing in the first place.. I know why. Poor workmanship.. poor quality control.. just poor everything... So it left the factory.. was it checked!. It was as the dealership.. was it checked. It was sold.. what happened to the PDI.. I'm really not impressed at all... My advice is don't buy a Bailey save yourself the grief and disappointment..
I purchased a 2 year old Bailey pegusus gt70 Brindisi. Just had it serviced and it shows damp reading of 70 in the rear floor. My local dealer has submitted a claim to Bailey for a warranty repair, but they have told me that they have 30 damp repairs to do before mine, and it will be 12 MONTHS before they can do it! I wonder what state it will be in by then!
No Go Bailey ( Had a brand new Bailey 70-6 Alliance motorhome for 6 days and its going into the workshop for the second time so far!) ================================================== Weds 12th February 2020: Picked up new motorhome with 10 miles on clock. The first issue - 13th February ( day after receipt brand new) My experience relates to the motorhome only which is a Bailey Alliance 70-6 bran new from Howard’s in Taunton. Took delivery of the new motorhome and noticed a number of pretty deep chips to the paintwork. Not such a good start Bailey homes. Still got the chips. Stayed overnight at a nearby caravan park and in the morning started the home then drove 15 meters to dump waste water. Tried to restart the home no joy just clicking noise. At 830am phoned dealer no answer. Finally got through and Howard’s workshop controller came at 1030 to assist. He did some checks and found battery was ok so I had a jump start and drove to Howard’s. He explained something was dropping down the voltage from the battery to the starter motor. Had to cancel meetings and take a days leave because as soon as you try to start engine after turning off the ignition it’s dead again. Anyway my home was in workshop from around 1100am to after 3pm when I was told we did a software update, changed starter motor and the control unit for the battery and it now starts. Oh Bailey and Peugeot I think I may have made a huge mistake buying a new home from yourselves. It’s ok right now but I fear for how long! The second issue reported 16th Feb 2020 Monday 17th February. Been told to bring to workshop again to resovle some minor and medium level faults listed below with my brand new motorhome. See below. Now that the rain has stopped here, I decided to do my own PDI and road test on my Bailey Alliance. These are the things of note: 1. The steering wheel is all wonky with the wheels dead straight (see photo 6) 2. The external TV bracket had a nipple missing so the flap fell off (fixed at yours) but was an issue at point of delivery to me. 3. The dometic vent is all wonky (see photo 5) 4. Should there be keys for the toilet door? A lock is present. 5. Noisy area above driver and passenger (see photo 4) 6. Minor damage to top veneer for sliding vents for bed (see photo 2) 7. Noisy window mechanisms (see photo 3) on the noisy ones the arm slides from left to right. Note: They have all been tightened up. 8. Design observation for Bailey RE: usability. The mains and TV socket should be sited elsewhere as it is in the way of seating area. !8th February, 2020 Had a reply from Baileys. By the way Bailey's do not talk to customers, of course they don't why should they. You need to email them. Had a reply basically they are sorry but show no interest in poor manufacturing quality or suggested design improvements. Baileys direct you to the seller of the brand new home to resolve. I don't see how they can improve manufacturing quality if they show no interest in poor quality standards. 20th February, 2020 Still got doubt in my mind that no start problem is 100% fixed Still got paint chips Still got above faults. 21st February, 2020 Received a comprehensive reply from Baileys. Happy with the reply but I still have to take my brand new motorhome into the workshop again under warranty and its only done 80 miles. 23rd February, 2020 I have found 4 more issues with my new home - Internal door not closing properly - Internal door does not close - Seat belt cap missing- be bad if driver’s was head impaled on this! - Cushion has what seems to be a repair done to it ( not wanted on a new home) In light of above, I will add these list for the warranty claim assessment being done at Newport Caravans. Taking into account the number of defects with this new home, I have formally requested Baileys that Newport Caravans are allowed to conduct a new full PDI for my peace of mind. The original PDI was done at Howards Motorhomes, Taunton.

Jul 20,2021has nobody got anything positive to say about this company ? I,ve just bought a used 2018 Cabrera and the only thing wrong is that the spare wheel mechanism seized up and the shower door fell off otherwise mostly all good so far.
