Sep 21,2024Engine received was not the one ordered. Additionally the quality of engine and shipment protection was unexceptable. Several oil connections were left exposed. Banjo bolts removed and missing and damaged steel lines. Rubber boot that connects to turbo was cut off with knife. Only reason for 2 stars is Best Use responded quickly and is working on replacement. Will see how this goes...

From the start, everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable, and they even have financing.They were very experienced and helped me through every step of the way until my engine reached the destination.

Sep 12,2024I purchased an engine for $5,295 and had them deliver it to repair shop the first week of June 2024. The engine had been severely damaged and appeared to have tipped or rolled during their delivery. Best Use Auto picked the engine up and agreed to give me a refund. However they first tried to get me to agerew to forfeit the shipping charges. I refused. It is now 3 months later and they have still not provided a refund. This week they told me they could expedite the refund if I let them apply a 30% restocking fee. These folks are crooks. If you have to deal with Tia, or Tom, or Shawn Z they will not treat you right. They will continue to make excuses. I have filed a suit in small claims court in order to recover what amounts to stolen funds.

Sep 25,2024I will describe my experience working with this company. I bought an engine from them, for $1744 on 7/23. It arrived at my mechanic's on 8/2, he was backed up and they started work around the 15th. They discovered the engine had a cracked oil filter housing and cracked oil pan on the 20th. The warranty says: (Engines are complete assemblies including Manifolds, Oil Pan, Timing Belts, and Covers, Fuel Injection or Carburetor. We guarantee only the long block. The manifolds, gaskets, seals, hoses, oil pan, timing belts and covers, fuel injection, or carburetor, are not covered under warranty. Orders of “Block Only” (Short or Long Block) are guaranteed to be rebuildable only) They said they would not pay for the extra cost of the pan, but would for the housing. On 8/23 sent an estimate of $607 and two people assured me the housing cost would be covered. They took until 9/26 to reimburse me $350. Warning: Don't buy parts yourself. Let the mechanic supply them.
