Jul 19,2024I paid for before midday delivery, which did not arrive. DPD stated they could not find address, which if checked comes up with location no problem. Contacted the company who stated they would be in touch with DPD to redeliver but failed once again to deliver. They now state that their terms do not deliver to Hospitals, However they took my order and tried to deliver. So this cannot be an excuse not to refund my money! I will never use this company again and advise you to shop elsewhere!

I ordered cupcakes for two of my friends baby showers and both times everyone commented on how amazing they looked and how delicious they were. Jul 18,2024I placed an order on a Tuesday and paid Ā£40 for personslised cupcakes to be delivered by Friday ready for my wife's 40th on the Sunday. The address finder did find my address but it has the wrong postcode attached to the street as a new build; irrelevant because on their delivery map it still showed up as the right address location. The cupcakes didn't arrive on Friday and the DPD tracker showed no delivery attempt, only that it was received at the warehouse on Thursday. No delivery attempt was made on Saturday either and my emails went unanswered, querying why and asking if they could check the postcode. The DPD online chat feature said on Monday (after the birthday-do had been on Sunday) that due to local issues at the distribution centre the parcel was undelivered. Then, it said that it had detected a postcode error on Saturday (after I'd emailed and after it already missed the delivery date on Friday) and then stated that as it contained a consumable it was disposed of. At no point was I contacted by DPD or Candy's. When I asked for a refund, Candy's replied "it has not been disposed off (sic). The parcel will get relabelled with he (sic) correct address and re delivered". Alas! The parcel was not redelivered on Tuesday either, and I again asked for a refund and said I did not want 7 day old cupcakes delivered on Wednesday. Today, I received a response email from Candy's saying "it was not delivered because your parcel was damaged by DPD. Would you like me to resend it?" I again asked for a refund and said I didn't want damaged, week old cupcakes. I was offered a fresh batch instead and again I had to ask for a refund. Currently had no confirmation I'll get my money back but it's been a poor service from both Candy's and their preferred delivery company, DPD. Neither accepting responsibility and no proactive contact. Why supply a contact number and email for the order if neither are prepared to update you? Why give conflicting messages about the item being disposed of? Why not simply send a fresh batch AND offer a refund, rather than ignore repeated requests for a refund and offer instead to remake the order a week later? It has just been a poor, extremely disappointing and frustrating experience which left my wife and two daughters upset.

The only issue I had was after putting in the address to send to, I paid by ApplePay not realising it would default to my address. But customer service were very helpful in changing the delivery address for me. Would highly recommend!
