Apr 03,2025On the portal we put that it was a none runner and were quoted just over £3000. We received a call asking us to send photos and asking what is wrong with it. We told them that the oil pump had failed and engine seized. The car body was in good condition. We received a call back and the quote was reduced to £1200. The reason given was that the engine was seized even though they were initially told it was a none runner.

Apr 03,2025Very smooth experience of scrapping my old car. It just 4 steps: 1. Entered my car reg. 2. Agreed on a price and confirmed collection date. 3. Collection driver came on exact date and time as mentioned in the confirmation mail from car.co.uk (The driver had send a msg and even called before arriving). 4. Collected the car and within next 20 minutes the amount agreed was in my account. The driver (Daniel) was good, reminded me of all the things needed on phone and also briefed me on what will happen after the car has been collected and what I need to do.

My clutch went about 30 minutes away from home in the middle of the night, made the decision to scrap it as I had no love for the thing and would have been unnecessary expense to get it home and repaired. Found Car.co.uk on Google who offered the best price for my car with free collection, ideal! Booked a morning time slot which was easy, on the day I recieved a call to say they'd be there in 30 minutes which gave me enough time to get back to the car. Eduard was very polite and the whole thing took about 10 minutes. The money was in my account within a few hours, overall a smooth and pleasant transaction, will definitely recommend and use again if necessary
