We recently moved into our new Equinox 3 cavanna home and couldn’t be happier! The whole process from initial discussions to handing over the keys was stress-free. Kelly and Liana were brilliant and helped us work through the tight timeline we had. They replied to any questions we had quickly and were always there to help. Even after moving in the team have been very attentive to any queries we had. The home itself is very high quality. The home has ample storage and a large garden with high quality turf. Top marks all around from us and would highly recommend them. We couldn’t be more pleased and grateful of the whole process. Thank you cavanna homes!
Plot One Oakmount, Hemyock Devon This has been my first experience of buying a new home and from the outset Maddie in sales has been supportive , accessible and helpful. The house build quality for my plot is in the upper quartile and with any snags Willie the Site Manager and Guy the Deputy Site Manager have been helpful, professional and solution orientated. Sam and Mollie in solving some minor plumbing problems and explaining the intricacies of air pumps have also been helpful, polite and professional. The only mentionable negative has been the quality of the external cleaning of sills, windows and frames, prior to moving in, as this was a holistic issue rather than a specific snag. This however has not detracted from the overall experience of my new home purchase.
Having lived at Broadleigh Park for 15 months we were very unfortunate to experience a flood due to the failure of a compression joint under the sink. We are extremely happy with our house and the quality of the build is excellent, for which we gave a full 5 star review after completion. So this was just one of those things that can happen anywhere. However, its how its resolved that makes all the difference. My first 3 calls to customer services call centre were not good. Having explained we were standing in 1.5 inches of water across the entire kitchen diner, I expected immediate action, not so. A plumber attended 1.5 hours later and fixed the joint, then we had to clear up the water ourselves. Frustrated, and somewhat furious, I decided to contact the sales director attaching pictures and a video. At that point the tide turned! He immediately passed this on to the Head of Customer Services who called us and could not have been more apologetic. She immediately took responsibility and organised full replacement of flooring, hall carpet, kitchen unit ends, kickboards and skirting. She called me back each time to advise when and what would be done, and none of it at any cost to us - exactly as it should be. The whole replacement process has taken over a month, but Hannah has stayed in touch throughout and we now have our kitchen diner back to its pristine condition, and our flooring and hall carpet renewed. THAT is how customer service should be carried out. Hence a 5 star review whereas it was initially going to be 1 star.
We moved into a Cavanna home three weeks ago and our experience has been very good. The house appears to be well constructed and finished to a high standard. The Cavanna staff have been friendly and helpful. An introductory talk with Karen, sales manager, and Max, assistant site manager, provided much useful information. They have both been very supportive and been able to help us with some practical requests.
Very impressed with my new Cavanna home. Beautifully designed! Large ceiling heights on the ground floor (which is unusual for new builds) and a quality build finish. The onsite team have been proactive and flexible throughout the entire process. A big call out for Sales Manager Karen Overton ... always available ! and has managed the purchase and moving in end to end process seamlessly with help provided at every stage. Highly recommended !
I brought my first house back in feb 2023, it was made very easy with brilliant customer service and good onsite team. would buy again with Cavanna!
My elderly mum just relocated to the Cavanna development at Oak Mount in Hemyock, Devon. The site team, Guy and Maddie have been fantastic in helping her throughout the process and in settling in to her new home. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have been very supportive - 5 Stars!!
I am writing this review to share my experience with Cavanna Homes, who have consistently failed to deliver on their promises and commitments. Their lack of communication and disregard for dates has left me and other residents on the estate frustrated and disappointed. We moved into our Cavanna home January 2022. Fifteen months on we are still chasing snagging list items, I know other residents on the estate have been chasing for a lot longer than us. Cavanna appears to work on the approach that once they move offsite buyers will give in chasing them as it takes time and effort to constantly chase. However, what I really want to highlight to any prospective buyers is that Cavanna still have not completed the estate infrastructure. This is 14 months after the last residents moved in and probably about four years since the first residents. We still do not have a surfaced road or pavements, only half the estate has street lighting, the green spaces are not complete and the ones that are complete have not been passed onto a maintenance company and are overgrown, they are still the responsibility of Cavanna. The pavements are dangerous and there has already been two accidents on the estate that were caused in part to the non-existent lighting. We have during the last 14 months received many promises from Cavanna regarding infrastructure and customer service, below is high level timeline of failed promises and misinformation: 22nd July 2022: Residents received a letter from Andrew Addison Operations Director. He introduced us to Hannah Green who is the Head of Customer Services stating, ’Hannah Green has been tasked with making sure your outstanding snagging issues are dealt with promptly’. The letter also described some infrastructure work that would be completed over the next 10 weeks, and stated that ‘the adoption of the sewers by South West Water needed some infrastructure changes and this was being worked through’ Due to issues and poor service already encountered residents were provided with a dedicated email address for use by the estate to raise issues with Cavanna 15th August 2022: Residents received a second letter from the operations director. Stating that ‘the 10 week program of work to complete some of the infrastructure had started.’ The letter also stated that ‘Work to draw up a plan to bring the underground infrastructure up to the required standard for adoption by South West water is now taking place , and we hope to share a timeline for this in the Autumn’ No further updates then until 12th October. The 10 week program of work that the letter on the 15th August referred to was still ongoing. The plan we were supposed to receive regarding the SWW adoption did not materialise. Snagging list items remained unresolved. 12th October 2022: Third letter from operations director. The letter stated ‘We are finalising the plans to bring the underground infrastructure up to the required standard for adoption and we hope to being this work in Spring 2023’ So, we were informed the major adoption work would be progressed during Spring 2023. We then heard nothing until the 6th April 2023 well into Spring, by this point we were expecting work and plans to be well progressed but nothing had actually happened. 6th Apr 2023: Letter received from Head of Customer Service. This stated that ‘we are finalising a programme of works for the public open space. We will share the schedule with you in the next few weeks. We are required to carry out remedial works to the drainage system . We will keep you updated as soon as we can confirm the timeline’ So again, no explanation as to why the SWW water works were not underway or complete and a complete stalling letter 9th May 2023: Letter received from Head of Customer services stating that ‘work to finalise the public open space will begin in July 2023’ the letter then went onto say ‘we are taking advice from South West Water regarding the drainage system’ So, although in August 2022 we were informed the plans with South West Water were being progressed, we are now informed 10 months later that now work has progressed and they are still in discussion. I have contacted South West Water directly in regard to the estate and they have written back to me to confirm that the timeline for adoption will be at a MINIMUM a further 12 months. Caranna have not provided any of these facts to the residents. Until this work is complete Cavanna will not complete the other infrastructure eg pavements, road surface. We could be waiting an additional two years. I would strongly advise any prospective buyers to think carefully before choosing Cavanna Homes as their house builder.
We have recently bought a new build with Cavanna Homes in the Equinox III development. So far both myself and my partner are pleased with the build and quality. We both understand the reputation around new builds and are not expecting everything to be 100% perfect. The sales team throughout the process have been brilliant and friendly. We found the process all throughout easy. Becky the site manager, has been brilliant. She has been hot on getting all the issues we have had resolved. They've all been minor issues anyway nothing major. Altogether we are both very happy so far.
We got the keys to our new home just a few days ago, and want to say how happy we are with it and how well we feel we've been cared for by the Cavanna team. From start to finish, Karen Overton has been a wonderful support--professional, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. She was always available when we needed information, and went out of her way to enable us to let friends have a quick look round the house at various stages of its construction. Karen's colleagues, Max and Steve have been equally brilliant in answering queries and patiently showing us how everything works. (We are new to 'new-build' houses!) The whole Broadleigh Park development is beautifully designed, and our house has been finished to a really high standard throughout. We've already been meeting lovely friendly neighbours and are looking forward to living here. Thank you Karen, Max and Steve for making our house move such a good experience.
Just reserved a house at Bude Bellevue, and the sales agent, Chris, was very helpful, answered all our questions and provided lots of information Overall, a very good experience with Chris and Cavanna, who care about customer satisfaction. Very impressed so far.
We moved in a month ago so have had long enough to find out what’s wrong! Nearly nothing is the answer, a tweak to a door here and a bit of decorators caulk there and that’s about it. The whole process has been very smooth. Karen in the sales office is amazing at making sure your new home has all the personal additions you want to make your house a home from the moment you move in. The site visits throughout were never too much trouble for Steve either who kept us informed of progress and even managed to deliver our home 2 weeks early! Max has been providing the aftercare and nothing has been too much trouble. All in all a terrific home that I would highly recommend. In fact I may have just persuaded an older couple looking round the road last night to buy one the same as ours….. Can’t say would buy again as won’t be moving…….
First experience of Cavanna homes, overall very impressed, Chris, the sales representative has been extremely supportive and knowledgeable making the whole experience very easy.
Broadleigh Park Site - This is the first time we have bought a new build and the experience has been amazing from start to finish. Karen in the office is always on hand to help and support with everything and nothing is too much. Steve and Max on site are always helpful, knowledgeable and ready to help. They check in regularly to make sure we have settled in well. The workpeople around site keep the place maintained whilst getting on with the job and are always cheerful and helpful. Karen, Steve and Max run a tight ship and have made life so much easier for us as newbies! Thank you!
My wife and I were looking around for sometime as we wanted to downsize. We could see the beginnings of Elm Park and decided to pop in to collect some brochures and information. We were dealt with by Liana - little did we know that at this point how much we would come to know and rely on her - A week later, we met her again at which point committed ourselves to purchasing a new build Cavanna Home. Liana has been excellent and has guided us through every step of the way in the buying process. She is a warm and friendly person and has always dealt with queries to our complete satisfaction. Ian has also been very polite and helpful in sorting out some minor snags. We love our new house. We feel that the quality of construction and workmanship has been good and we are so pleased with the chosen extras. Our experience with Cavanna has been a good one and we would not hesitate in recommending them to others. Thank you Cavanna for our lovely home. Paul and Lucy Skinner
Despite the property seemingly initially well built, we then started to encounter problems that meant we had to speak to customer services - awful, the worst ever had to deal with! If houses could be returned for full refund we would have done this! Nearly 2 years in and still have unresolved issues; customer services are dreadful, we have to call them constantly but still have these issues & can’t speak to anybody in charge as always on holiday or in meetings! DO NOT BUY if you want quick outcomes!!
I have dealt with Karen from Broadleigh park on two purchases and must say the customer service and sales experience has been exceptional. After buying my first property I did have some small niggles which were rectified very quickly by the customer service and without any hassle . Comparing cavanna to some other new Home builders I would say they are very thorough in there work and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending anyone from buying their next house with them. Many thanks to Karen and the team.
We are very happy in in our new home internal & external finishes very good, yes one or two small snags but soon sorted thanks to the efficient staff. The garden area’s around the homes really adds to the looks of this site, first class.
Very poor quality finish including but not limited to: uneven flooring, loose floor boards, mould behind appliances, loose and broken handles/fixtures and fittings, poorly fitted kitchen, leaky pipes, damp. Customer service (or lack of) is appalling. We've had issues outstanding for months, as with every other review they refuse to reply to e-mails or calls. We have had many experiences of calls 1. we were told we could go on hold as all the team were in training but they weren't sure how long the training would be, 2. I got a response after 4 months saying they were dealing with a back log of e-mails due to holiday and a laptop upgrade - note they didn't respond to any of the issues we'd been chasing 3. someone called and listened to us go through our list AGAIN for the 10th time before telling us thanks just to let you know I'm leaving tomorrow, 4. they are rude, impolite and quite frankly incapable of providing any kind of customer care. If it were an option to return this purchase for a full refund we would but unfortunately with House purchases you can't. DO NOT BUY FROM CAVANNA.

Sep 21,2023I went for a viewing at Oakmount in Hemyock with my husband and toddler! Clare showed me the show home which is currently being used as the office! We were very impressed with the build quality and the customer service. We will definitely consider Cavana homes in the future and recommend them to family and friends.
