Having viewed the show homes in Exeter I was very impressed. Excellent quality, good size rooms. External design and appearance was very modern. Kevyn showed us around and was knowledgeable and friendly, he was more than happy to answer all our questions in the search for our next home.
Our purchasing experience was pretty turbulent- but on reflection that’s should have been expected when buying a house during a Pandemic. That being said, we are beyond delighted with our finished house at Barley Meadows. The quality of the build finish is excellent. Our Plot is better than we ever expected and the customer service since moving in has been great. We have had a few issues since moving in but nothing has been too much trouble for Cavanna to fix. They have gone above and beyond at times for us. We want to give Kevyn and Ian a big thank you for their great customer service….. We still owe you that beer!
Couldn't be happier with our Cavanna home. Right from the moment we walked into the show room and met with Kevyn, the sales advisor, we knew we were in safe hands. The process was smooth and any snagging issues we did experience, were dealt with promptly. Couldn't fault the process from initial deposit to completion. We've lived here 4 years now and love our home!
We arranged for Cavanna to show us a completed house of the type we wanted. They agreed to hold the house for us until then, so we were happy to wait those few days before signing. Then the next day somebody else expressed an interest in the house and we quickly discovered what Cavanna's word is worth...
My husband and I saw quite a few new build developments while looking to buy our first home together. The moment we stepped into the Cavanna show home at Broadleigh Park, we knew they were the developers we wanted to build our home! Not a whole lot sets most other new build developers apart other than home design and location preferences. But to us, Cavanna offered more than just better designed homes in a location we loved. They were transparent about what was being upgraded in their show home and what would actually be available to us upon purchasing our own home. They gained a lot of respect from us at the start with that. The quality of their homes is far better than some of their “competitors” and upon completion they really took care with the small details! First of all the landscaping throughout the neighbourhood is beautiful. It is genuinely so lovely to walk through. Lawn turf was included and when we didn’t move in right after completing on the house (which saw a few warm few weeks resulting in the death of our newly turfed lawn) Cavanna, without us even asking, said they would re-turf it so it was a alive by the time we moved in! This is only the start of the genuine care that Cavanna pours into their homes. Another example: We had paid to upgrade our floors to a beautiful wood effect porcelain tile. When the day came to lay abs grout the tile, I got a call from the site manager himself wanting to ensure I was happy with the grout colour…and if I wasn’t he would order a different colour!! I get the sense that not many other developers we had seen would be willing to do this. But the team at Cavanna, do care and they want to get these small details right. We worked together to choose the grout colour and I couldn’t be happier with how gorgeous the floors look! There were a few snagging issues upon completion, which were sorted, no questions asked! The whole team were brilliant to work with and we are so happy with our gorgeous home! Cavanna have a high standard of quality for the homes and neighbourhoods they build and we feel so lucky to have found them in our search for our first home purchase!
Having moved from the Midlands for a 'new life' by the sea we are absolutely thrilled with our lovely new Cavanna home. From start to finish the sales team of Lianna, Andy then finally Kevyn were brilliant and helped us every step of the way. Now we are here and despite all the building work going on around us we can honestly say it was the best move we have ever made. In addition all the little snags have been handled with great efficiency by the customer service team (Daisy).
We moved into our new family home in 2020, at the time the customer service was great, we were kept up to date throughout the whole process. We had a minor snag list which got rectified pretty much immediately due to homes being built on the estate at the time., but as soon as the development was close to being finished our issues still haven't been rectified 4 months into original complaint of emails and phone calls backwards and forwards. The customer service is poor to the point that as soon as they have your money they don't want to help even when the property has 10 years warranty. They also make false promises by not sticking to what they have said to you verbally and changing their mind when it comes to being in writing. I would advise any dealings with Cavanna to have a written copy. The communication from customer service is also very poor, this lets the company down massively, from what started great in the beginning has now gone the complete opposite since we have moved in. I can't say that I would recommend Cavanna homes to family or friends due to the customer service being appalling. If this was sorted, then my views would be different.
We really cannot recommend Cavanna Homes enough. From the moment we first stepped foot in the sales office - we were made to feel so welcome and at ease by the Sales Advisor Eliott. After discussing a fair number of plots & options available we made the decision to buy from Cavanna and the whole process has been a positive experience. Eliott couldn't have helped us anymore than he did. He was honest at all times and was superb at keeping us up to date with progress throughout our purchase (although I'm sure we may have been close to driving him mad at times - sorry Eliott). Even with small set backs such as Covid the communication was spot on. We couldn't have asked for a better sales person and he is an absolute credit to Cavanna. Site Managers John & Mickey have ensured a high standard and quality home has been built The entire trades team have been exceptional and there to continue offering help even since we have moved in with the odd question or minimal snag. We can happily recommend Cavanna to anyone hoping to purchase a new home.
I have recently received the keys to my new Cavanna home and I’m very happy with the house, the build quality is just as described and finished to a high standard. The sales advisors who have assisted me along the way have all been extremely helpful and Kevin who has dealt with my completion/hand over is always quick to respond and resolve any enquiries I have, which has made the moving in process a lot less stressful.
Nice houses, high quality finish, however I was promised that when one of them will be realise for sale I will be contacted. Just find out that house is already on the market for sale, none for the office in Exeter manage to contact me.
Recently completed on our second purchase at Tavistock. Karen and her team have all been brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. Current purchase is our main home. The house is excellent, really impressed with the fixtures and fittings particularly the kitchen and appliances. Any initial issues (which were minor) have been resolved very swiftly by Karen and the site Foreman.
I am currently engaged in buying a house on Bellevue and have just been afforded a site visit by the sales advisor Chris. Our build is several months away from completion but I have to say we are super-impressed with both the progress made and the quality of the build so far. In particular, the fit and finish of the kitchen and bathrooms is awesome and we are very pleased with the combination of options we chose. Chris has kept us in the loop at all stages up to this point and so far we couldn't be happier. There is still a degree of work to be done in order to make the expected completion date but I am confident the team will get us over the line by the designated date. Will post an update when we are complete.
Would never recommend anyone to buy a cavanna home as we have been waiting 6months for snags list to be done & out of 30+ issues 3habe been semi done & when done to a poor home diy standard ,very poor build Standard & shall be seeking Legal advice as after 8 emails & no reply we feel there is no other way ,beware everyone if you purchase if done to same build state as ours ,was going to be forever home but no after all the stress & heart ache we will sale
We started out on our journey to buy our first home what seemed like a lifetime ago, early birding a 3 bed Brook house, which was the same as the show home at the time. Due to it being one of the last plots, it seemed a long way off anyway, and then we hit a global pandemic which delayed the house even further. A 4 bed town house 'Callisham' became available in the meantime and Lianna our sales advisor helped us with speaking to a different mortgage provider, who with the help to buy scheme, made us realise this beautiful house was achievable for us so we reserved in November 2020 and Lianna was there every step of the way, from us picking all our fixtures and fittings, keeping us calm when we needed our mortgage offer extending whilst the worry of being on furlough was going on, endless site visits so we could measure up and see the progress - she was just brilliant! Towards the end of our house build journey Lianna was joined by Andy who was equally as helpful and gave us that call we had been eagerly waiting for to say 'you've completed' and got us moved in! We got there in the end - finally! We moved in at the end of May and are loving making this house our home!
We have purchased a home at Bellevue Bude, the house will be the show home whilst the development is completed, the service, support and advice from Chris Hodder has been exemplary, everything simple and concise and nothing too much trouble (and very patient!) Best customer service and experience I have received in many years. Can't wait to move in...
Karen and the team at Broadleigh Park are a credit to Cavanna Homes. Karen has been our main contact and she has helped us every step of the way whilst maintaining an efficient and business like approach. She helped us through one or two rough times when things weren’t going too well with our house sale and gave us the confidence not to give up. We’re so glad we persevered as we love our new Cavanna home.
We have been very impressed by the pre and post sales support and service delivered by Cavanna Homes during the purchase of our new home in Devon. The house has been finished to a very high standard and we are more than satisfied with our purchase. This is our third new home (since 1994) and there is no doubt that Cavanna's overall build quality and service level has been head and shoulders above the other developer's we have bought from on previous occasions.
Unfortunately after 8 years on from buying a new home they have failed under their obligation to make the house watertight despite the NHBC insisting on action. 8 years is not acceptable as each year they return to carry out poor repairs that does not sort out the water coming into my house. Operations director is not very responsive or respectful and as for the MD I am genuinely not sure if he exists. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Stay well away.
Mixed bag really ... great house design on a great site in a great location but lots of snagging issues showing how the quality control has lapsed and then been compounded by a serious lack of after sales interest. Tip: snag at every stage; email everything; don't expect replies; call every week after re-emailing; keep on top of the site manager and sales staff as well as the (so-called) customer service department. Sadly, with ours, it reinforces the addage that "it takes 10 years to make a reputation and 10 minutes to wreck it". Lots of disappointed after sales customers on our Holcombe site.

Janine Dixon at Cavanna was always on hand, really personable and went above and beyond for us. She was great! Before our hearts where set with a Cavanna Homes Build, we looked at other new build estates with other companies and felt they did not meet the standard that Cavanna produces for estate layouts, space and quality of the houses built. Have already and will continue to recommend Cavanna to my friends.
