Nov 20,2023We recently moved house and used Charles Faraday for shutters at our previous property so knew pretty much what we wanted and the expected lead times etc. We did get two quotes, but CF had a summer sale and therefore were really competitive on their pricing, plus using them before we were reassured that we would get a good service and product. The shutters were on the larger size, to fit into a large, floor to ceiling walk in bay window and Andrew guided us on the right style etc. Shutters arrived slightly earlier than we had been quoted, which is always good news. The fitter did a great job and the shutters look great. Overall very pleased.

From first visit to final fix the whole process has been executed professionally, smoothly, in a timely manner and with respect for existing furnishings. The quality of the wooden blinds is excellent and I’m really happy to recommend this company

These shutters are easy to manage and very versatile and will shade as well as help with retaining warmth. Special mention to the fitter who was meticulous in his caring approach. He obviously took a pride in his work and it showed. Am already singing this company’s praises to friends.

Sep 13,2023My wife and move home to a new build in June this this year. Having renovated our previous house and was tired of DIY we decided to use a third party for our window dressings in our new house. We saw that a property near to ours had bee fitted shutters so I knocked the door to asked what company they had used. They said they were happy with their shutters and gave us the details of Charles Faraday. I contacted the company to enquire if the they could do me a ballpark quote based on the house drawings. This they did straight away (a lot of companies won’t do this). This was when I first had contact with Andrew, we had a detailed conversation, he came out to site and measured and discussed options. Andrew was extremely thorough and enthusiastic as to what were looking to achieve and provided great advice/options to help our decision making, especially with the shutters, where he suggested variations to the opening ratios to provide the best privacy whilst allowing as much light as possible . We opted for Roman blinds on the first floor and shutters on the ground floor. Andrew explained the time line for ordering, delivery and fitting so our expectations were managed right from the start. Once we committed Andrew completed a final measure, confirmed everything and placed the order. This process was also really simple. It was then just waiting for the blinds and shutters to be manufactured. (Don’t be put off by the lead time for shutters, this is standard across the board as they require precision manufacturing) Anyway our Roman blinds arrived in July exactly as predicted by Andrew and were fitted within a day of us being notified. They were installed perfectly, no mess, in fact you hardly knew Andrew was there and they are beautiful. The shutters were fitted yesterday having arrived exactly as predicted by Andrew. The fitter was Callum, who was clinical and professional, again with no mess, a really nice lad. The quality of the shutters and blinds and the finishing of both gives our house a look to be proud of at competitive prices. The whole experience was totally stress free. 👍

Aug 27,2023We recently had shutters installed into our living room, and the whole process from initial consultation and measurements, through quoting and then installation has been really positive. It was particularly refreshing to feel like there were no “hard-sell” techniques being applied during the first meeting - measurements were taken efficiently and accurately, all the options were plainly set out and a fair price offered. Simple as that. Lead time for the shutters was around 12 weeks, but this was explained up front, and then end product was delivered on time and exactly as promised. Installation was quick, efficient and all tidied up and left beautifully. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a great job - the shutters look fantastic!

Callum did a superb job fitting the shutters, which arrived much earlier than expected! I'm so pleased witn the bespoke arched window design for my converted barn, do much so that I have recommended Charles Faraday to my new neighbours (who have already place orders!).

May 19,2023I left the polite and courteous fitter in the house whilst at work and returned home to see my house transformed. Two sets of gleaming white shutters in my 2 front bay windows. On inspection, perfectly fitted and no mess left behind. I waited a while for them, but they are well worth the wait, I'm so very pleased and will use them again.

Absolutely chuffed to bits with not only the finished job, but with the whole professional service from initial phone call and enquiry chat, to Andrew's visit and measuring up, to Callum's expert fitting. The job also got done sooner than was originally scheduled. I wouldn't hesitate in using them again or recommending them to anyone else.
