The quality of the shutters is fantastic and the fitting by Calum is perfect. He is very thorough, cleans up and all furniture was put back before he left. We cannot recommend highly enough

From our initial contact to the fitting of the blinds everything was done professionally with a friendly manner. We would most certainly recommend the company to anyone looking to install or replace blinds.

Jul 08,2022Our experience has been fantastic. From the start Andrew was patient and clear explaining all our options for plantation type shutters. There was no hard sell and it was very much left to us to decide but also felt we were advised well. We were phoned to say when shutters were in and a fitting date was arranged. The fitters arrived on time and were wonderful. Polite and hard working. They left our house tidy I didn’t know they had been apart from our beautiful new shutters. We are delighted with our shutters and would whole heartedly recommend Charles Faraday. A fantastic experience.

Mar 27,2022Returning customer after having a couple of windows fitted with shutters a year ago, so had to go back for more. Just had the whole of upstairs fitted with shutters. What an amazing experience from start to finish. Fantastic customer service, fitter was very professional and tidy, didnt complain when my puppy ran of with his trainers. Throughly recommend, great value for money.

Mar 26,2022We ordered two made to measure fitted shutters for our barn in October. Immediately after measuring up we paid the 75% non-refundable deposit and were told the shutters would be fitted in 12 weeks. Two weeks later we were told the measurements would have to be done again and there would be a two week delay. After 12 weeks without a progress report we contacted the company and were told there would be a further delay - why? Covid - of course. Eventually 22+ weeks after paying the deposit the shutters were fitted and looked quite good. However we noticed one set did not fit the window frame properly and the deficit was replaced with a large bead of dark brown sealant which looked ugly. We informed Charles Faraday within 48 hours and got this reply "Hello Bob. After inspecting our work before we left and thanking us as you shook my hand I am surprised you decide now to find something you do not like. We have to allow for ‘play’ in older properties as they are not perfectly level and plumb. You have the imperfect curve of an arch to add into the mix. The fit is well within trade tolerances. If it was so bad and obvious you would of mentioned it on the day. I have no other solution, it is an installation in an old property. I look forward to receiving the settlement of our invoice by return. Regards Andrew The company claims -"If you're not happy, we are not happy" which is clearly not so. Be very wary of the huge non-refundable deposit, delays in shipping, measurement inaccuracies, poor communication and pressure to pay the remaining 25% before you have sufficient time to inspect the work. The shutters are well made in China.

Jan 20,2022I contacted Andrew from Charles Faraday along with a number of companies one well known competitor also came out to our house in Stratford upon Avon. I am very pleased I chose Charles Faraday, the product price delivery and installation I couldn't fault. Their installer was punctual professional exceptionally clean and tidy which made the whole process enjoyable. We are delighted with the end result and the solidness and overall look , I would highly recommend Charles Faraday to anyone no matter how big or small the project, Claire and Patrick.

Jan 20,2022I always knew I wanted shutters when I bought my first home and after doing some research, found Charles Faraday. I sent them a message and had a very prompt response back to all my questions. They could not have been more helpful from start to finish. My three shutters were fitted recently by Callum, who made sure to take great care with the fitting and cleaning, I was very impressed and happy as had just re-plastered and painted! The lead time on the wooden shutters is long but it’s definitely worth it, I love them and everyone who has seen them have said how lovely they are. The quality and price are excellent, in fact I have already ordered more!

My blinds were fitted last week by a young man and I have to say he was extremely tidy and there was no mess at all.The blinds ave very good quality and a very good price.I’m so pleased with the shutters.Thank you so much Charles Faraday I will be definitely be contacting you in the near future.100% 👍🏻

Jan 18,2022Unfortunately we had a bad experience. We paid deposit of £600 and were given a delivery date of 14 Jan. (12 weeks) That date having expired we rang to find that our order had not been processed! We were offered £100 compensation and a further 12 week wait or a refund. We went for the refund, they were very apologetic but it’s difficult to accept an error of that kind, very disappointed.

Jan 08,2022I had an awning fitted with a heater and lighting. I also had a quote from a National company and another West Midlands based firm but I chose chose Charles Faraday because they offered good value and were locally based offering an excellent product range! I was very happy with the service pre order, in fitting and afterwards. Fitting went well but there was a slight technical issue with the lighting but this was resolved quickly (the lighting wiring diagram had two alternative set ups and it was the second one that resolved the issue). These awnings are a big investment and I’m very pleased with what I’ve received and I’m sure that if there are any issues going forward; they’ll be resolved with very good personal service. I’d gladly recommend Charles Faraday!

Nov 25,2021Andrew and his wife travelled quite away to come and price for my shutters but delivered a sterling performance of measuring and guiding me on what type of shutters I needed to suit the room ( kitchen ) Arrived I think a week before the timescale quoted so that was great and fit within hours My kitchen feels a whole lot warmer since the shutters were fit and I’m loving the privacy they create

Nov 23,2021As with everything else, I got a quote for plantation shutters from a few different suppliers, who were all pretty much similar, price wise. No hard sell from the quotation, which arrived quickly after general measurements were taken. I opted for Charles Faraday as they offered a competitive price and one of the better lead-times. Though in these uncertain times nothing can be taken as guaranteed. Ordering was easy, Andrew came to do all the measuring and bought a plethora of samples, showing options on framing, slats sizes and hardware... I opted for antique brass fittings which are beautiful. I was delighted to hear that they were on schedule and they arrived today, along with a very polite and respectful carpenter, who went to much effort to ensure they were perfectly fitted, sealed around the edges and cleaned. The shutters themselves are beautiful and have completely transformed the room, giving us privacy and warmth from the inside and they've certainly elevated the house from the outside. The fitter was friendly and respectful, laying blankets to protect our flooring, and he even hoovered up afterwards. You don't get that often these days. I'm delighted with the shutters and feel like a truly valued customer. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Charles Faraday to everyone. Thank you.

Nov 13,2021We are a repeat customer of Charles Faraday having had shutters fitted in December 2020 which we were extremely pleased with and left 5 star review. So when we moved home in July 2021 we naturally went back to our trusted supplier for shutters at our new home. Same attentive professional service, kept us updated throughout the factory build time which the delay was outside of Faraday control. Our new shutters were fitted this week and although the fitting service was very curtious and professional we are disappointed with the shutters. A divider bar has been added and our windows are full height so the light into the room is significantly reduced due to less louvers. Andrew apologised for the error but we are stuck now with the shutters having paid over £1,000. Charles Faraday website states 'if you are not happy we are not happy' but buyer beware it is your resonsibility to check quote details and sizes, if they are wrong you are stuck with them even if the error is from the person who measured them made a mistake. Thank you for the prompt reply Andrew, as a small business cash flow is vital so I would never withhold payment from you. I did tell you that when funds allow next year we will be replacing the shutters so a clear statement we are not happy. You did say you cannot ask the factory for a remake as they were made to order. Your offer to replace them is very much appreciated and reinforces my comments about professional service. Look forward to hearing from you.

Nov 12,2021From start to finish could not be happier. The initial inspection was excellent. Explaining everything about types, materials, fitting. The fitter was brilliant. Very professional and the work was outstanding. I had cheaper quotes, but chose Charles Faraday because of the material quality and the solution to an awkward window they provided. The window shutters look lovely and function perfectly.
