This food is delicious! Don't usually buy the higher end products as its above income bracket but it had been reduced so went for it...what a delightful chicken & mushroom pie in a ceramic, reusable dish, all cardboard wrapping, other vendors really should use Charlie's sustainable ideas when providing food, why not? We have the tech to manufacture packaging that doesn't harm our planet, let's use it fully now...
Charlie Bigham's Fish Pie for 1 is the best I've tasted over the years! More actual fish pieces in tasty sauce topped with mash + grated cheese making it my favourite nutritious ready meal.
Hello. I am someone who never purchases meals in a box.. however I did today on a whim. I purchased Tikka Masala and it was delicious.. so tasty and such good quality. I would highly recommend. Also I would like to add ( I’m sure there’s some of you who’ll understand what I’m saying) I suffer from IBS and had no reaction at all. The take out box I ordered tastes and had quality of meals I’ve spent £20 on in restaurant- I will now continue to buy this brand rather than order take out. Excellent quality
Best supermarket cottage pie I have ever had. Delicious.
We recently discovered Charlie Bingham Ready Meals in the aftermath of Covid-19 and a general weariness when it came to cooking. We're pensioners and picked up a supermarket offer for 2 Lasagne. Lovely food, great value, well prepared and sensible portions for the two of us. Since then, we treat ourselves whenever possible.
I used to enjoy these meals once in a while. Bought one as a treat and thought it had changed a bit. I now have severe food poisoning after eating their cottage pie. Not the 'treat' I was expecting - bed ridden for 2 days and having to get family to look after my daughter. Won't be buying again.
I used to like this ready meal but now it is just hydrolysed blended potato. At least mine was last night. And with a massive near-40% hike in price since recently bought, I won't be buying it again. No longer tasty, much less VFM BTW, I only have a small appetite but this dish was barely enough for me. Any suggestion that one pie will serve two people is simply pie in the sky.
My wife and I are just getting over Covid and fancied a treat. We thought we’d try the Chiken Tika-Marsala for me and our son and fish pie for my wife. While they weren’t cheap, they we’re easy to cook, yummy and tasty. Definitely try some of the rest of the range next time we want a dine in treat.
This brand used to be superb quality. Now it’s awful. I have no clue what they have altered but I have stopped purchasing anything from the range. They taste more like a tesco ready meal now, before they stood out and were a very premium product. Prices reflected the quality. Now the product is awful, not prepared to spend the money.
We’ve tried quite a few of the Charlie Bigham dishes, and haven’t yet found one we didn’t like! The Indian and Thai curries in particular we feel are as good as those you would get if you went to a restaurant - and are also a lot cheaper! In addition, they come with the rice, which isn’t always the case (eg. Cook, where you have to buy it separately - although the Cook curries are also very nice, but not quite as nice as those of CB!
We thoroughly enjoyed a Charlie Bighams chicken masala last night. We've had this particular one before and the chicken korma and they have each been fabulous. The fact that the main and rice are quite literally able to be cooked along side of each other is a bonus. All we did was add in naan and chutneys. We are relative "spice/ heat lightweights" so don't think I would dare tier up but we're more than happy with the curries we have already tried . So far as value for money goes, I think the ones we have had have been excellent. Okay, so you can buy cheaper but I've certainly paid much more and enjoyed the food much less . It must be the love that Charlie and his team put into their food since in the case of other ready made curries, the quality just hasn't been there. I would say CB's food is restaurant food quality in your own home. Even better still is that most of the packaging can go on your recycling bin. A winner on every level! Thank you xx 💞🇮🇳🍝 .
Well, if it hadn't said chilli on the pack I wouldn't have recognised it as chilli con carne. It really was a playful of mince with beans. £9 for a ready meal for two. I paid two pound on Morrison's yellow sticker, and that's what it's worth
My experience has been a very positive one. My husband and I have tried the green thai curry chicken and macaroni dishes so far. We loved both meals..perfect seasoning, quantity and tastes like home made. Just yummy Thank you
I recently have been recovering from surgery and unable to cook for my family. We have been relying on Charlie Bighams to feed us over the last couple of weeks and it’s been great. Real food that you can feel doing you good as you eat it. Such great quality and so comforting. Thank you Charlie xxx
Got a Charlie Bigham lasagne for two as I had a friend coming over for lunch. It was delicious served with some salad. Impressed at the portion size which was just right and also the delicious taste/texture. Products are a bit pricey but nice if you're after a treat!
Quality has dropped significantly recently due to reformulations which seem to be aimed at watering down the product. Have been taking photos of the ingredients and nutrition information to track progress. E.g. Chicken Jalfrezi dropped from 621 kcal per half pack to 568 kcal - it is now watery and a bit sad compared to what it once was. This is despite prices rising by approximately 20% in the past year.
Over the past few months after my wife passed awayI have tried all you products and they are amazing but I have tested lasagne from other companies I have tried 1..Marks & Spencer’s 2..Tesco 3..Sainsburys 4..Aldi 5..Lidl Without exception your Lasagne is full of flavor fantastic pasta well done it’s a pity M&S do not sell your products under Charlie Binghams Name well done Mr Bingham you have amazing food Regards Ray Tunsich thank you
Everything I've tried has been delicious
Just had one of these fish pies (if you can call it that, more like sauce pie) had better from M&S for half the price. Even aldi, morrisons own brand are better.

Nov 08,2022Have had Bighams ready meals for several years, Like Cottage Pie,Lasagne Shepherds Pie. Just recently I have tried Chicken Tikka Masala & Steak & Kidney Pie. These were both delicious and just as good as the earlier dishes I mentioned above.I am nearly 90 years old and your dishes are ideal for me living on my own. I am a little concerned because my local tesco has less shelf space devoted to bighams than previously. hope they are not stopping stocking your products completely
