We had the Chicken Tikka Masala for the first time on Saturday night it is so good. Would highly recommend and great value for money.
All the meals we have tried have been excellent. We rarely buy premade meals as nearly everything I make from scratch but when we have chosen a Charlie Bigham's meal they have been delicious. The way the company are doing their bit to save the planet is to be commended. Carry on the good work.
This is from a sincere Charlie Bingham fan. The meals used to be a cut above the average shop bought meal and I could justify the cost once in a while as there was a somewhat guarantee that the meal would be good. Now however, at almost £9.00 a meal and with the quality questionable I am unable to endorse the brand any longer.. such a shame as this was to be a proven winner but no longer.
I purchased the chicken Pad Thai and I have to say it was so delicious! So fresh and tasty, as good as anything I've had in a restaurant. Will defiantly be trying the other recipes
I purchased a meal for one person. It was Chicken Tikka Masala with Rice. I have had quite a few of these dishes in my time, but this was one of the best I have tasted. The amount was just right and the heat perfect. Very easy to prepare, so I will certainly recommend this product, and will purchase it again soon. I have also been recommended to try the Chicken Jalfrezi, so that will be next on my list.
1st time customers and there will definitely be a 2nd and 3rd. We enjoyed a Chicken Tikka Masala as it says it’s for 2 we found this to be accurate although we teamed it with a shared naan bread it was incredibly tasty the sauce was rich and flavoursome and the rice cooked to perfection I have to add this was cooked in a caravan and was an easy affordable meal to have on the move I would highly recommend
Just tried the chicken masala and got to say just yummy best I've had really tasty not too hot delicious ❤️will be trying more of charlie Bighams
I came across these guys' chicken korma via a food share project and decided to try it even tho' I usually cook all my food from scratch. I figured I'd take it so it would get used up. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste and the texture. I cook all sorts of food at home including curry, using fresh ingredients and traditional recipes, so I was delighted and a little surprised to find the CB korma was both very enjoyable and used the traditional ingredients. Nice. It may help the reader to know that the korma is not a ready-meal - some of the ingredients are uncooked and so the dish will need to be properly cooked in the oven, following the helpful instructions, which are printed in an unusually legible font - thanks for that, guys!! This contributes to the fresh taste and the proper textures. It's not suitable for microwave re-heating. I would definitely try these guys' food again and will look out for their range on the supermarket shelves.
All the meals I have tried so far are excellent! Full of flavour and top quality meat/fish. More meals for one please!
The chicken jalfrezi was thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my husband. Fantastic flavour and as good as (if not better) than any takeaway we’ve had. We will definitely be purchasing again.
I purchased the Thai Red Curry Chicken and ate it last night and it was so good - we both thoroughly enjoyed it - it was brilliant, really impressed. I will definitely buy again and will also try the other dishes in the range!
I stumbled upon this range when looking in tescos for tea. It was discounted and i have never tried butter chicken curry. Really enjoyed it nice to see how Binghams started their range also liked quality ingredients.
We have never bothered with supermarket ready meals before as they're often insufficent for two people but we tried Charlie Bingham's meals on holiday and they were excellent. Very tasty and adequate. I can strongly recommend the curry's, lasagne and paella.
Purchased a pack of 2 Chicken Kiev’s from Waitrose today for a special meal this evening. Charlie Bigham’s just like many others are taking advantage of the “cost of living” crisis and putting prices up way more than necessary. Heinz take the prize though, £1.40 for a can of soup! Really? That has doubled in less than a year. Back to Charlie Bigham’s. A complete con. They put their meals in fancy packaging and charge the earth. The fact is their meals are average at best. Talk about Emperors’s new clothes. The chicken kiev’s were a total disappointment. As dry as a desert with the tiny amount of garlic filling that was present nicely welding itself to the baking tray as if it couldn’t wait to escape from the awful chicken. In my opinion please do not buy Charlie Bigham’s food. Simple as.
It was the best shop-bought pudding I've had in years - absolutely delicious hot or cold. Can't wait to try his lemon drizzle and bread and butter pudding. I've enjoyed all his main meals but my favourite is steak pie - the only problem is what to do with all the little bowls! Shirley
Used to be great now are TERRIBLE- like most things they started with high standards, duped the consumer. They have clearly sold out and made cutbacks on quality to make higher profits. Fish pie has no fish. Cherry bakewell pudding was so tasteless I threw it out
Thought I'd give the fish pie and lasagne a go as other half doesn't eat cheese or fish. SOOOOOO disappointed I cannot tell you. Tesco's Finest Lasagne far superior and less than half the price and Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Fish pie on another level. Tried to find out from the ingredients what it was that irked. Balsamic vinegar, molasses and Star anise in a lasagne ?... I think not. As for the fish pie at nearly £9 not a hard boiled egg or prawn in sight|, which I know is not in the Sainsbury's but the sauce content and taste were far superior for about a third of the price. Sorry Charlie!
C Binghams, best conviance meals on the market in my opinion, bar none! i have tried them all! trust me! i hope they expand their range!! I could eat a meal for 2 by myself!
Having been weaned on army curry over a number of years, I do not buy shop items. My daughter gave me a Charlie Bighams Jalfresi to try, I was initially doubtful, but, totally chuffed when I tried it, my compliments for the taste, packaging, and having told my daughter the result, I hope she takes the hint.

Sep 12,2022I have only recently tried the Charlie bighams range, my first meal was the red Thai curry, which was so delicious, great texture and perfect amount for 1 meal. After enjoying that I tried the chicken tikka massage, which was full of flavour and again, delicious. I then tried the chicken satay and rice. And again delicious. The price of the meals is what kept me from trying this range but after trying them I realised they are just as tasty, if not better than what I would order from a restaurant! And probably around the same price as a restaurant or infact cheaper. I look forward to trying more of the meals. Thankyou Charlie bigham!
