Mar 02,2025The chicken tikka masala is absolutely delicious. Quite different in flavour from the traditional Indian curries . You'll have to try one to see what I mean. The whole range of Charlie Bigham meals are fabulous and can't fault them.Worth the extra few pence each.

Mar 02,2025These are wonderful :-) The Cottage Pie is intensely tasty and I need a pie for 2 just for me cos I just can’t stop…..and scraping all the bits off the paper, Meg my spaniel adores the bits left over. It’s the only TV dinner type cottage pie (along with the shepherds pie) that’s up to the standard of a good homemade example that I know of……and definitely better than any pub or restaurant either. People serve up such s••t these days, charge you the earth for it and you easily could do better at home. I don’t love all Charlie’s stuff but these are top notch :-)

Feb 25,2025I found a nearly two inch long piece of plastic in my Charlie Bigham's fish pie, when half way through eating it, disgusting! I have emailed them photos. Having read other reviews, I am clearly not alone and judging from the company's replies I'm not expecting much of a response. Bye bye Charlie, hello M&S and Waitrose.

Feb 23,2025As a repeated buyer of Charlie Bighams ready meals I have tried many products available to offer. Portions: Meals for 1 are often not filling enough, meatballs and spaghetti meal for 1 was considerably undersized, needing at least 50% more. But the quality and taste is fantastic. Tikka masala meal for 2 is great as a meal for one and is good as if not better than a takeaway. Portions being questionable, the ceramic dish chicken mushroom pie is fine. Tuscan pork, green / red curry meals for 2 , again, better for one person as not enough to split between two. Product quality: Cannot be faulted. The wooden dishes should be kept flat but if you can follow this simple instruction then you'll be satisfied customer. Price: Justifies the quality of the food. Overall bighams has a very wide range of meals and is best on the market I'd say.

Feb 21,2025Only found out about this range in the last year,love the Tikka Massala and pilau rice with the lovely naan bread.No need to change as I find it perfect no need for takeaways now.Love that the tray is compostable but I also use them for growing seedlings in and can also be planted straight into garden.Most recently enjoyed on Valentines Day with a nice bottle of sparkling rose.

Feb 21,2025Agree with another reviewer about the Lasagne. Has the recipe changed? Not tasty like it used to be and definitely contains garlic - too much, whether it contained it previously or not. Some people dont like garlic. I hope this isnt going to be a trend with all your meals now. Spoilt it for me.

Feb 20,2025Very authentic, always consistent. Never any nasty bits of meat and always enough for two. We don’t bother with a takeaway any more, Charlie Bigham’s range has plenty of choice. We can particularly recommend the red and Green Thai curries too.

Mar 04,2025Purchased a fish pie for two. Very small portion per person. Heavy on the potato with small amount of fish. To make it more appealing I cooked more prawns to supplement. Would recommend Waitrose fish pie, more fish content and better flavour.
