I am extremely disappointed with City Blinds Aberdeen. I specifically requested a full blackout solution, but what I received was a blackout material blind that I could have easily purchased off the shelf at B&Q. Light pours in from the sides, and they needlessly cut into my picture rail for what they claimed would be a "perfect fit" – which they failed to achieve. The customer service has been appalling, with staff being both rude and patronising. I would not recommend this company.
Delighted with the care & attention provided by all the City Blind's Aberdeen team (Martin for pricing/sales, Jim for removal/fitting, and Julie for financials/admin support). Martin was very engaging and provided excellent advice and assistance with the product selection for out conservatory blind refresh. Jim was very professional with the fitting of the new blinds and we were very impressed with his work & left everything so tidy. Julie provided timely and humorous support on all the occasions when dealing with the transactions. Highly recommend the Aberdeen team.
Last week I had my new living room and hall blinds fitted by warren after being measured up and ordered by Kenny a few weeks before.Great professional and friendly service from start to finish everything ran smoothly throughout the process and communication from the store throughout was great.will definitely use again.
Looking for new blinds, please please please don’t waste your time or money using city blinds. The quote process was really good and professional. Unfortunately that’s were the professionalism ended. I then had a dimension issue with 1 of the blinds, doubling the estimated time of completion. This issue created a doubling up on fitting dates, as the order was NOT checked prior to setting the fitting date. Then I had more issue in regards to the fitting of the roller blinds in the bathroom and kitchen. Both were fitted with the correct fixings. 1 was directly screwed into the plasterboard. The other directly into aqua panelling. No use of raw plugs. When they were taken down during home improvements, it was obvious that these blinds would need to be refitted in the correct manner. After speaking to the store, they made excuses for this amateur fitting. They told me to call them back when the decoration had been completed and they would refit the blinds. That was 6 days ago. I called this morning only to be told they would need to wait for another member of staff to give the go ahead to refit them. Honestly I wish I had just done the blinds and rollers myself. It would have saved both time and money. The time being the only reason I used the company in the first place. Long and short of it, avoid avoid avoid
Like many others, I too ordered shutters paid deposit £400and remainder through credit company sold to me by salesman. Omni finance told me I still had to pay as money had already been given to city blinds. I received email in May saying that order was in China would get back to me June 10 at latest. Heard nothing. In that email I was told I would receive my money back from bank which I did. I thought the same would happen with credit company, tried emailing liquidators, contacted citizens advice and FCA , and trading standards who unfortunately cannot help as there is this loophole .. Now yes when I heard I was shocked, felt sorry for staff then angry. It is right to leave a bad review esp when you heard that this company had been in trouble for a while , also rumours that they were taking orders they could not fulfil and lastly that they switched suppliers many times due to money issues. This company did not treat their customers right. You should not have to pay for a loan specifically for shutters that you did not receive. Shocking behaviour. If anyone has had any solutions please advise me I will do the same if I find a solution too Bad review for a company who treated people badly.
I got my blinds fitted in February and my living room blind keeps falling down. Don’t think the correct fittings were used. Is there someone I can call to arrange for them to be looked at? As I understand City blinds and Shutters are now closed. Thanks

just to give an update my blinds that I ordered in March are being fitted tomorrow by zone blinds
They took my order on Friday the 20th of March 2020 which the deposit was paid and the balance was taken on a loan with Omni Capital Retail Finance, even had the cheek to give me NHS discount. As a frontline worker I've had enough stress to deal with then I get a letter from the liquidators on the 6th of April! They knew they were on the brink of insolvency when they took my order and my money! I managed to cancel my order with the liquidators and get my deposit back as that was through my credit card but Omni Capital Retail Finance are now hounding me for the loan amount and threatening me with court action and debt collectors! I will obviously not receive my goods or service but Omni Capital Retail Finance don't give a damn as they mis sold me the agreement not stating that I was liable for the full amount even if I don't receive the goods! Hiding under the clause of 'unregulated' loan. Has anyone else found themselves in this situation?
Like a lot of you, paid £450 deposit, for shutters. I believe we were 7-10 days from fitting when they closed. Getting nowhere with the liquidators. It's now belief the original company has passed it on to another liquidators. Has anyone else had any joy getting money back for undelivered goods?
I have been contacted by the administrator, who has given me an option to wait two weeks TIL they see who’s blinds are ready and if they can get fitted. Also given option for to start process of claiming money back. I have chosen to wait and see if blinds have been made as I honestly believe it is hard for companies to keep there heads above water at this time and don’t believe they are trying to rob us, just horrible situation we are in.
Ordered blinds on 23rd March paid £500 deposit. Hope someone does the decent thing and gets in touch with me and all other customers.
Can u contact myself Mrs Taylor I placed an order on Tuesday 12 March and my blinds are supposedly ready. They are no good for anyone in liquidation. My son and partner Ms Rhiannon Jones also ordered from you at the same appointment and gave a deposit. Theirs was ready last week. We are willing to pick them up.
