Been with clear.sale for awhile and so far I haven't had any issues. Knock on wood I've never had to contact support for anything. The service and its software works without any issues or drama and the portal looks better than their competition. It's nice to know that when a large order comes in I'm ready to take it without a risk from fraud. I pay a bit extra for each transaction but for me the peace of mind is worth the extra cost and the best part is there is no monthly rent for their technology. Disclaimer: I haven't had a fraudulent transaction to test against clear.sale yet. Staff are responsive and flexible in problem solving. Their client-facing web portal could be more streamlined, unified, and accessible with plugins for quickbooks and other accounting software. A mobile app would be the next logical step, as well as SMS, slack, or teams notifications when orders clear as approved. I found it a hassle to login just to get my monthly billing PDF downloaded. I prefer PDF and CSV as an attachment via email is easier to work with. A simple one-time burnable download token via email without a login would be fine and easier than a full login to gain access to read-only information I'm only going to access once. Performance wise I found that their software's ability to update the store's order status was on the slow side, requiring you to check your email for order approvals rather than wait for an update to the order status. The experience was less than optimal in terms of workflow efficiency and during busy days I found it delayed my ability to ship out orders. I would prefer to have instant updates as soon as the order clears the fraud check. You always have the option to manually change the order status after checking your emails though. This company is based in the USA. I would like to see this company registered in Canada as a financial service with a head office in Vancouver and terms of service based on Canadian Laws. As a Canadian customer I'm not happy about being billed as a Canadian in US dollars. So far this is a more professional looking offering than the competition but the door remains open for other challengers, especially if they are Canadian-domiciled.

We're using Clearsale for one of our Woo sites that can't use quality payment processors like Stripe because we have some outdoor hunting stuff. Fraud prevention and chargeback protection are an absolute necessity, so we went with Clearsale. It's working ok, but it always takes at least 10 minutes for the order approval to change the order status in Woo to Processing. Since we dropship and have order routing automation, we've lost a few sales because there was 1 in stock and Clearsale took too long to change order status, so the item sold out in the meantime. If you have a remotely high ticket order ($1000+), expect it to take at least a few hours, if not a whole day, for Clearsale to make a decision. This can affect the customer experience, especially if you say that orders receive a tracking number same day. That being said, I love having protection in the case of fraudulent orders, but we'll be going with something better like Signifyd as soon as this store reaches their 1 million minimum.

We have really enjoyed the ease of this service! It has allowed us to follow through on several sales that would have been questionable for us, given our limited ability to evaluate the risk. We have had no issues with any of the sales that Clearsale has approved!
