Jul 13,2023Great assistance from Cheri and whatever tech questions get answered in 24h, sometimes sooner. If you’re serious about shooting you dry fire, if you want the best training you need this kit. Don’t buy this kit if you want to have amateur skill level.

Jul 11,2023If you are going to dry fire train only, this is the best system because you will be using your own weapon. Go with airsoft refillable bottles, you will find them way better and easier than soda maker bottles. If you are doing force on force training this is not the ticket unless you can afford the huge expense and hassles of finding, buying and using UTM ammo.

Jul 10,2023I received my CoolFire barrel a few days after ordering. It was longer than 5” and it double fired randomly. They switched to a new updated design, but doesn’t look like they have dimensions right. There were also nickel shavings that were still present, because the machine as turned off midcut, instead of after lifting from the barrel. Kind of made me wonder if it was actually finished. Customer service was pretty good though!! Which is why they get any stars at all. They had me ship out the wrong barrel and I’m still waiting for the correct product. It’s been about 5 days with no further communication. Not sure how long it will be until I see a new barrel. Depending on how long it takes and the quality of the second barrel, this review could be 5 star or a 1 star. Update: So after about 5 days, I was sent back the correct barrel and all the issues were fixed! If anything, it kicks a bit harder, which is great! I worked with Boone for customer service and he walked me through everything and got the issues I had taken care of! I’ll be looking for more barrels in the future :D

Jul 08,2023This system is just what I needed to train for shooting competition (USPSA and others). It allows for rapid fire training with multiple shots. I use it with the Mantis unit, which provides shot timing and various scenarios that would not be possible without the cycling of the pistol. I had a few technical questions that I emailed to the company and the response time was very quick.

I’m sure the unit will be a great training tool but knowing there’s along wait to ship maybe you could at least wait until the unit ships to ask for a review. I

Jun 05,2023I've only put about 50 shots through the CoolFire Trainer. So everything said here may change. Though so far it lives up to the hype. Pros: + It replicates my Beretta 92FS's recoil fairly accurately. + I can use my own holster and the slide resets itself with every shot for about 15 shots before the CO2 runs out. + I can quick(ish) draw and do Mozambique Drills in my apartment shooting the included targets on my refrigerator (I can spell "Mozambique Drills" faster than I do them). + Although it cycles my pistol, it isn't very loud. It sounds like I'm using a large staple gun. I could probably cover the sound with some music or the TV. No complaints from the neighbors. Cons: - It's a little bit fiddly and somewhat intimidating to install the first time unless you have some mechanical proficiency. Zeroing the laser is weird at first. - Aggravating the above are a lack of centralized instructions. Some of it is in an online manual, some of it is marked on the box, some on the website, and some on YouTube. This is understandable because the systems are different for each pistol type and some instructions appear to have been made up after the fact. Still annoying though, as you may think you remember how to do something and have to spend time searching for it on all those sources to verify. - Heating the CO2 is awkward. They recommend some kind of heating plate. I heat water to 86˚ F and immerse the canister in it and let it cool to 84˚ F. I have to repeat the process between each 15 shots as the canister will cool. Apparently other people just leave them in the sun for a bit. - Refilling CO2 canisters is kinda hard in my area. Though for many that's not a problem. If you paintball or live near a paintball shop that's an easy fix.

Jun 03,2023New unit for Sig. Put about 40 shots through it before it failed. Called CS, said they’d send me a new gasket. Then they forgot to send it. Two weeks later they sent it by mail. Didn’t fix the problem. See where this is going? 4 calls and voicemails and as many emails with ZERO response. Now a month without the trainer and they won’t send a new one, I have to send the old one back! How many more weeks before I get a working unit? Here’s an idea. Take my cc number, send a replacement. If I don’t send the damaged one back, charge me. Especially after weeks and weeks of delay. Horribly non-responsive customer service.

Apr 16,2023Website was easy to navigate, reasonable price for what you get. Very helpful at making sure you get the correct parts together. One observation, everytime I added something to the cart it was added twice. I tried both mobile and desktop and got the error. Possibly due to browser malfunction (using firefox) but could lose sales if someone didn't catch the error and backed out due to sticker shock.
