Scam company. Delete. Ignore.
Copyright trolling
they will try to gouge for everything. Ignore them, they are scammers.
Very unpleasant company demanding urgent deadlines (7 days) and submitting their initial demands via weblinks rather than properly sent invoices. Quickly threatens with debt collectors and other extra-legal means. Undeniably a predatory operator chiefly aimed at scaring minor actors into submission. As a network of environmental activists, we have seen target efforts by the CopyrightAgent to focus on homepages and even personal blogs/social media of our individual members. CopyrightAgent and anyone using their services are morally dubious, and should be avoided at all costs.
I received the same email. It is a scam in many ways, and likely phishing for payments and emails to run more scams. Don't send them money!
Copyright Agent seem to make their own rules. They refuse to speak to you on the phone about your query. They are arrogant and on the defensive from the word go. They sent an invoice in April which went into my spam folder, well with a name like Copyright, it is hardly surprising. They sent another email in July demanding the same payment. Of course I phoned and wrote. They wanted €1000 immediately, as I had an editorial (photo showing flooding) regarding climate change on my website. This was not selling anything, and it was a harmless editorial shot. Their big mistake was to not send a Cease and Desist letter as an Initial approach and a written warning asking me to remove the image immediately, they refused to cooperate with me and went straight to a heavy and outrageous fine for immediate payment. When I refused and argued the case they sent the invoice to a Debt Collector Agent. The image I questioned showed two people in a flood in Germany. You could see their faces and I asked to see a permission press release and a contract agreement between AFP and RITZAU Scanpix. They refused anything I asked for and said they have no legal team. NO LEGAL TEAM??? WHEN THEY ARE PRETENDING TO BE A LEGAL COMPANY? Dealing with legal matters! This is outrageous. They haven't heard the end of it from me. A nasty bunch of people targeting small companies, businesses and startups. A disgrace. They need reporting for unethical practice. Whatever you do, read the terms and conditions before parting with your money. Cease and Desist is an operative obligation they have to you.

This fake company pretend to be a lawyer company and professional, but there is nothing professional about them. They also wrote that on Trustpilot register under lawyer category, but this is 100% false they are registered as a "computer programming" company when you search the DK CVR register. They claim to punish people who use others copyrighted materials even they reference the author as the law allows. The money does not go to the author (we spoken to them), the money is going to the guy named Christoffer Feilberg who does not live in Denmark but in Netherlands. Christoffer has a background in mail spam advertisement and now are trying to steal money from people and pretend to be the "copyright police". They don't have a lawyer or any juristic rights but using a young women as a "adviser" she has no work background as a lawyer to our investigation, and are active in the money mail scams as "Amy" or "Lara" . The material is not even there property. They are organized criminals and are therefore reported to the police and finical authority, and should not be engaged with in any way or form. If you steal a digital material you did not have right to, then its the author who have right to compensation not somebody else. In most country's you are allowed to reference, else google could not link text or image from the web. Copyright Agent work by using there own software algorithm/query to index pictures on the web with similar name and syntax, and then pretend to be a copyright police and try to make you pay from there own cms webpage. Clearly they do not like negative feedback and use google translate to pretend to be professional in there "response". Anybody who partnership with this company will be part of this scam. If you want to protect or claim your material, use a lawyer.
Scammers making vague copyright infringement claims (a) without supporting evidence and (b) without providing a valid legal copyright infringement notice. Ignore them and block their emails. Ensure your website domain is set to keep your contact information, private.
Update: Dear Sam. You do not have the legal right to send anyone in Sweden an invoice for a fabricated and fictional sum of your own choice. In Sweden, you need a prior agreement of some sort in order to send someone an invoice. If you do not have that prior agreement (or a court order) your invoice is a scam. PS. Sam - could I please have your full name? I do not like when illegitimate people communicate with me like this without giving their full name.
Fraudulent company. It is really designed for people who are immediately scared. They cannot answer any questions regarding documents on the representation of interests or actual information regarding a specific case. Ordinary liars are blackmailers.
Never ever reply any of their emails. Fix any of the copyright issues they point out. But don’t ever inform them of your fix. Maintain total radio silence. If you made a mistake and feel like your should deal with it, contact and pay directly to the involved party. Don't pay these gangsters a dime, they take a big cut. Mark their email as spam. The more people who do that, the worse their spam reputation will be. Their emails are starting to enter my spam folder. Never ever pay. Once you pay, you are telling them you are an easy target for more extortion later on. That’s the experience of those who paid. If they refer you to debt collection, reject them immediately. They can’t enforce an invalid debt. Go to Trust Pilot and give them a 1-star rating and write a crappy feedback. This page is highly indexed by search engines and has high visibility all over the internet. Tell others NOT to pay. If they send you a physical mail, return to sender as undelivered. Don't give these bandits a finger, they will take your whole hand.
It's a scam! I got sent emails which were scams to try and get money from me!
Ignore these scammers. Like a previous review said, make sure to mark every mail from them as a SPAM and do not pay.
To whom it may concern, I am writing this letter with a sense of outrage and anger at your repeated fraudulent invoices and fraudulent behavior. It is with great frustration that I inform you that I have reported you to the police several times for fraud. Your method of sending invoices for alleged copyright infringement is not only unethical, but completely illegal. You are trying to blackmail people and organizations by threatening legal consequences, even though no such violation has been committed. It is not only unacceptable, but also incompatible with our rule of law. It is obvious that your intention is to deceive and manipulate the unsuspecting. You are exploiting people's fear of legal consequences and hoping they will pay for something they have not done. This is not only dishonest, but also, in my opinion, criminal. I have personally been affected by your fraudulent invoices, and I am not the only one. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people who have fallen victim to your scam. This type of behavior undermines confidence in the justice system and creates an atmosphere of fear and injustice. I demand that you immediately cease your fraud and return all monies received through these fraudulent invoices. Furthermore, I expect a formal apology for the worry and stress you have caused. I will continue to report your fraud to the police and other appropriate authorities. I will also spread information about your scams to warn other people and organizations. You should not be able to escape justice. This is my last attempt to communicate with you in a civilized manner. If you do not listen to my complaint and take appropriate action, I will be forced to take further legal action to protect my rights and the rights of others. I sincerely hope that you will take this letter seriously and stop your fraudulent activities immediately. With a strong hope that you correct your mistakes and take responsibility for your actions.
Scam, that's it. Don't be afraid of them, they are just like barking dog - noisy but harmless. Edit (after response): Yeah, you've been threating me since a month over pictures that doesn't even belong to companies that you tell you "represent". For example: How the cover of an music album from Via Nocturna label in any way is used illegally, when Via Nocturna ask me for review and gave me covers for an album? You're absurd, thats all what i have to say. Go find other fools to scam.

Oct 20,2023I have been working with Copyright Agent for a few years now and really appreciate the cooperation. The team is very reliable, trustworthy and always at your side when you need them. They want to constantly improve, develop, are forward-thinking and innovative. This combination is great and the reason why I feel very well taken care of in this partnership.
