They are very helpful and a pleasure to deal with
Extremely helpful, very professional, no pressure. A great ambassador for your company John Howell
Having read a fantastic article about travelling to South Africa with Cox & Kings in the Telegraph I was completely inspired to arrange my own trip. This is my first time travelling with Cox & Kings and I have been overwhelmed by the exceptional service, care and attention I have received to date. The knowledge of their experienced team is second-to-none and I am very excited for my forthcoming holiday. Well done Cox & Kings, it's a joy to find a travel company I can wholeheartedly trust to deliver an experience suited entirely to my needs.
Very personal and professional approach, dealing both on the macro-holiday as a package, but also at the micro-scale to include or alter elements that we wished to change. Very much a sense of 'can-do'. Company works at its best to meet your interests and personal ideas. We specially chose a flight routing and they were able to work with us on that, and also with the different accommodation we wanted. Company definitely makes you feel like an individual.
Nick Field was very helpful and prompt and gave us everything we asked for.
I had three fabulous holiday with Cox and Kings last year ,and another two booked for this year .The service is always outstanding and on solo holidays ,meet and greet and taking to hotels or airports or cruise ships ,is exceptionally courteous.Nothing is left to chance.Very good hotels , brilliant itineraries, superb guides and drivers .Exceptional value .Other travel companies I deal with are always second rate compared to Cox and Kings where the customer is treated as if he was the last name in their company .,without the s !
C & K are reliable & can usually guarantee the best accommodation & good guides.
Having used other top end companies we were disappointed.Had to do a lot of research ourselves on what was available and other things to see. Wanted to book a walk but told they didn't offer it instead of suggesting we got a taxi to the start etc. Given wrong dates re availability of some accommodation took ages to sort and in the end we suggested a way around by changing the order. To top it all we had to pay postage for the information sent out once booked ,there was no postage put on the envelope. We are just hoping that the holiday will be better than the booking experience.!
Excellent and friendly service. Always helpful
Although we very much enjoyed our Cox and King tour of the golden triangle and Shimla in India we do feel frustrated and let down by some aspects of our tour. These are the things I believe could be improved. 1. Pre-trip organisation was poor. Our plane seats were not reserved until I chased this up with our holiday rep. We were lucky to get seats next to each other as some in our tour did not. As we had paid extra to upgrade to premium economy we wanted aisle seats (set of two) not the middle section with three seats in a row which we ended up in. Our tour pack also arrived (only after I had queried where it was) a mere 10 days before departure which was not the fortnight promised in the blurb. 2. The tour can at times be grueling especially given the age of our group. Several early departures and wake up calls at 4.30 am. What was really frustrating though was the lack of comfort breaks on long 10-hour coach and/or rail journeys. Although there was a loo on the bus this was tiny (my husband at 6’1” could not get in!) and hard to use when moving. We could go 4+ hours without a stop and when we did find toilets, they were at local sites e.g. such as the Raj Ghat memorial which was disgusting. 3. Several trips were cancelled, often with no explanation. We did not visit the the Jakhu temple in Shimla but an inferior local temple totally lacking the grandeur of the monkey temple. When I queried why this was, I was told it was due to the snow as it was a steep climb to the temple and the path up was slippy. Not only was this not explained to our group but another group Great Railways in our hotel managed to visit the temple the same day with no mishap. Secondly we missed the trip to Fatephur Sikri and Chand Baori stepwell. While unavoidable due to road-blocks and demonstrations outside Agra it did mean we had to take a long coach detour from Agra to Jaipur lasting several hours and miss a key experience I had long wanted to see in India. It was disappointing Cox and King did not compensate for this by funding one of the additional trips on free days for which we paid extra. Lastly Cox and King organised a trip on a free day in Shimla to a village to view the Himalayas. This was arranged the day before when it was snowing, and the forecast for the next day was bad. Nevertheless, on the day we set off in private taxis despite our guide knowing the weather was atrocious. The roads were apparently impassable so instead of just having lunch we spent several hours at Wilfdflower killing time until our return. Many in our party were disappointed by these cancellations but we barely received an explanation never mind an apology. Not good enough Cox and King.
They were helpful, informative, and prompt with follow up documents.
Excellent service, good knowledgeable representatives, I would recommend to anyone
