Jul 15,2019Cox & Kings Customer Service is always excellent and our holiday experiences have been fantastic. We have made multiple trips with them and have just booked another. They're our go-to provider when we want to book holidays of a lifetime. The only wrinkle - the summary email you receive in response to a web enquiry. Call me pedantic, but I really appreciate a copy of all my data - if nothing else so I can correct any typos before they become gospel.

Jul 15,2019I haven't been on my holiday yet so can only talk about the booking process but the booking experience was good. I telephoned and got to speak to a human very quickly. That human (Josh) sorted out my booking very efficiently, explained everything, gave me loads of information, and gave me 48 hours to think about it while he held the place for me. I didn't really need 48 hours - I was convinced. Josh even gave me his direct line so that I could be sure to speak to him again when I called back. So far, first rate!

Thank you Nick Coy......... Lets hope we give you 5* when we return !!

Jul 12,2019Be very careful of you request something different. My 60 year dream of sailing a traditional boat on Lake Titicaca did not taking place. Apparently the local agencies employed was at fault but the devastation was not lessened. It was my only reason for visiting Peru, Machu Picchu etc incidental to my huge desire to visit that country. Had Cox and Kings reacted when first becoming aware of the problem at 09.00 on 12th June, because of the time difference it may have been possible to retrieve the situation as we were free for the morning. Unfortunately, the complaint was ignored until we returned home 2 weeks later and Cox and Kings realised the issue was not going to go away. I have accepted, and stated, the error was caused by their agent in Peru, however, a huge sum of money was paid to Cox and Kings for the trip and ultimately it should have been up to them to do whatever they possibly could to rectify matters. Just sitting on a complaint in the hope it will go away should not be an option.

Jul 04,2019The itinerary and accommodation were fantastic. We stayed on the Belmond Andean Explorer and it was such a treat. The local guides were also extremely good - Mirabel, Roy and Patrick. However the main tour guide Aki was a massive let down. He was vague and inconsistent. Key information was late and contradictory or just simply not given. He was also occasionally disparaging of the local guides. He didn't engage and enthuse the group like I have experienced on other tours and he didn't say goodbye to me! It's a shame as otherwise I really enjoyed this trip.

Jul 01,2019we have booked on group tours before and been impressed by the service we have received. this time we wanted to arrange a private group. we were offered an itinerary that could not ultimately be delivered - at one stage we were asked to book our hotel via a consolidator web site. we were not impressed with that.
