Jan 31,2025Excellent organisation. Everything went to plan. Our guide’s vast knowledge of wild life made the holiday. We saw 101 species of birds and many reptiles and mammals. I would definitely travel with Cox and Kings again.

Jan 28,2025I’ve been away with C&K twice in the past few years and already got another trip planned this year. The standard of trip, the hotels and guides are always very good. I really enjoy the itinerary’s which takes the hassle out of booking each element myself. The group sizes are always just right, for me too. Travelling on your own can be daunting. But I am so pleased I did, I’ve visited places I’d never have gone to alone. Peru & Jordan, with Mexico to come.

Jan 16,2025Grand Tour of India November 2024 This was a fabulous tour that opened our eyes to the beauty, history, culture and foods of India. In addition, we were exposed to fascinating craftsmanship and spiritual experiences. We experienced nearly every means of transportation available in India as we made our way around the country. The entire tour was spectacular with one major exception. The primary reason we booked our holiday on the November 13-27 2024 tour was to attend the Dev Diwali Festival in Varanasi. Through no fault of C& K, we missed this event entirely and arrived late that evening in Varanasi without luggage. We were traveling by Air India from Amritsar to Varanasi via Delhi. The first flight was delayed due to thick smog (and likely Air India merger and employment issues) and resulted in our group missing the connecting flight and losing most of our luggage. The second flight left too late to attend Dev Diwali and caused an abbreviated visit to Varanasi. This was a major disappointment to the entire group. Knowing that the Delhi/Amritsar region is subject to heavy smog this time of year and Air India is prone to flight delays, my STRONG recommendation is that C&K adjust this particular tour schedule in the future to arrive in Varanasi the night before Dev Diwali. Tour personnel recognition: Ashutosh Sharma was our fabulous guide throughout the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable about the historic sites, practical about logistics, punctual, and responsive to tour group needs. He kept a cool head during flight delays and worked tirelessly to get our luggage back from Air India. Other notable personnel: Lily Brough, C&K London travel consultant, Amritsar Day Guide Chandra; A&K Delhi Representative Neeraj Mehta; Bus driver Mr. Singh and his assistant Mr. Kumar for the entire tour; Nagendra Singh, Ranthambhore Safari Guide Additional Feedback: -Add in the must see historic Jallianwalla Bagh in Amritsar -If time allows, volunteer for an hour at Golden Temple Langar. -Avoid stays at international hotel chains such as Doubletree and Marriott where suitable Indian lodging is available.

Jan 16,2025Our trip was a combination of the small group Splendours of Chile trip followed by a private tour through Argentina and Brazil. Paula, our guide in Chile, was superb and everything went very smoothly. The sights we saw from the desert down to Patagonia were amazing and Paula's knowledge and enthusiasm really added to the whole experience. The rest of our trip was very well organised with helpful, friendly guides meeting us at each destination. The Perito Merino glacier and the Iguazu Falls were highlights. Leonardo, our guide in Rio de Janeiro, went out of his way to make sure we got the most out of our visit to his city. The only disappointment of the whole trip was the cooking experience in Rio which left us both feeling unwell due to the heat. Overall, an amazing experience and we would definitely recommend David at Cox and Kings for organising it for us.

Jan 13,2025Enjoyable well organised tour through Central America, the only downside was that some of the transport (i.e. private buses) were too small and uncomfortable for the long journeys and that some of the local guides could have been better at communicating.

Jan 10,2025Cox and Kings (Jo McCreery) did a great job customising our tour so that we got just enough time in each location focusing on the things we most wanted to see and do. A really enjoyable trip all round but EcoCamp Patagonia was the highlight for us - our base for hiking over three days in Torres Del Paine National Park. The guides were fantastic and the group we were part of got on really well together. The camp is in such a beautiful place and the pods were superb.

Jan 05,2025I booked my trip based on superb C&K 2018 holiday in Peru, the route and boutique palace hotels. Weeks prior to departure, they notified 3 hotel changes. One downgrade to a character hotel, which had poor room security, cold water and a broken cash machine. At here view is that a £5-10 discount to enable me to retain some currency was adequate compensation for this. Two were changed to bland corporate boxes, apparently as those planned were taken over by weddings. This we found not to be correct by guests staying there and searching room availability. A jeep dune drive was in fact a jeep drive to the edge of the city to a pile of sand in a field. Optional cooking lesson was a demonstration, and blocking printing/star gazing not available due to hotel changes. C&K asked for feedback and their defensive response to comments was that they arranged drinks/nibbles at a C&K employees house, a cheap scarf and theatre show (simply shocking and dragging out 45m). Oh and a 5% discount from my next C&K holiday ???????? India did not fail to disappoint, but the experience was significantly reduced by the above changes and misleading activities. I seriously wish I had not relied on my previous experience with C&K. Standards have dropped and I shall never trust them again

Jan 03,2025Nov 2024 Madagascar Wildlife Adventure Fabulous tour. Hotels and food were excellent. I have to mention our tour guide Tsoa who looked after us so well with endless patience and knowledge in answering all our questions. Also a special mention to our driver George who safely navigated what are terrible road conditions at times. A trip of a lifetime with my daughter making lasting memories.

Jan 03,2025We had the most amazing time on our South America tour. We did the 18 night tour starting in Lima, visiting Sacred valley, Machu Pichu, Cusco, Lake Titicaca, Le Paz, Iguazu falls, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro Itinerary was busy but the guides worked so hard to ensure that we got the most out of our visit. As always with travel we encounter some delays and a few small itinerary changes. These were on the whole dealt with brilliantly. There was only one guide who seemed determined to ensure that we did absolutely everything on the list even when the group kept insisting that they were tired, cold and hungry and wanted to finish up. Also, in hindsight we would have been better to have visited the larger set of floating islands on the Peruvian side rather than the 3 hour hydrofoil journey to the Bolivian side. Perhaps one for the Company to look into for future tours?! In contrast our last guide in Rio, Letitia was good fun and ensured each and everyone of us was looked after and having the best experience. Best bits for me were Iguazu, the Belmond express to Puno and Cusco

Dec 19,2024The tour itinerary for Cuba was well thought out and the local agents handled all the local issues well. Cuba isnt perhaps the easiest place to travel so expect the unexpected. We went 1 week after the national blackout for 3 days, so this was a bit of a concern, but Cox & Kings handled this well by making some changes to the accommodation to ensure we would still be comfortable.
