May 18,2024Ho iniziato l'application con Cultural Care un mesetto fa. Inizialmente avevo scelto quest'agenzia perché è una delle più grandi e rinomate e pensavo sarebbe stato meglio per me. All'inizio tutto bene, tutti gentili e disponibili. I problemi sono sorti quando dovevo caricare i video. Ho cominciato tutto con tantissimo anticipo per fare le cose con calma, ma nonostante le mie accortezze, mi hanno messo un sacco di pressione e fretta per farmi caricare i video il prima possibile, tempestandomi di chiamate e messaggi anche durante il mio orario di lavoro e dandomi delle scadenze (come se avessi cominciato la mia application da due mesi!). Il mio check English è andato bene, e mi hanno messo "livello avanzato d'inglese". Ho chiesto loro di cambiarlo perché non era onesto, e creava aspettative irrealistiche, e non lo hanno fatto, con una scusa senza senso ("in confronto ad altre ragazze, il tuo inglese è molto buono"). Immagino come parleranno le altre, se io a malapena sono un B1! Dopo sono arrivate le prime richieste dalle famiglie: la prima l'ho rifiutata perché avevano troppi bambini e vivevano in una zona remota e con clima estremo. Mi hanno chiamato subito per dirmi che almeno dovevo fare un colloquio, anche se non ero interessata. Alla mia risposta "ma così faccio perdere tempo agli altri, e lo perdo pure io" hanno risposto che quella era la prassi ed un consiglio (senza senso a mio avviso). Ho chiesto gentilmente di non essere pressata, e non si sono più interessati a me. Mai un messaggio per chiedermi come stesse andando. Non hanno capito la differenza tra "pressare" e "accompagnare". Ho avuto un paio di dubbi e mi sono rivolta a loro. Per esempio, una famiglia mi ha contattato e io non potevo rispondere perché non c'era la loro mail nel profilo. Ho chiesto a loro cosa potessi fare e la loro risposta, utilissima, è stata: "cerca bene". Neanche mia madre mi risponde così. Volevano pure mentire sulla mia capacità di nuotare, così più famiglie mi avrebbero scritto. Un'au pair si occupa dei bambini, è una grossa responsabilità, sono vite! Non si può mentire su questioni di sicurezza (non si dovrebbe mentire su niente...) Infine, ho cominciato a sentire altre agenzie perché già ero parecchio indispettita nei loro confronti, e sono venuta a conoscenza della differenza ENORME di prezzi (un'altra agenzia, comunque abbastanza conosciuta, fa pagare le ragazze più di 1000 euro in meno...). Chiedo giorni fa se posso disattivare il mio account temporaneamente per capire cosa fare con queste premesse, nessuna risposta. Oggi ho ricevuto una chiamata (sempre in orario lavorativo) di una "simpaticissima" ragazza dello staff che, nonostante avessi detto che era per "motivi personali", chiede quali siano i motivi e mi risponde in modo poco carino che non si può fare. Io sono comunque felice di essermi fermata in tempo. Non voglio neanche immaginare cosa mi sarebbe potuto succedere se fossi partita con degli incompetenti del genere. Consiglio da un avvocato (sempre io) e da una ragazza che ha già fatto quest'esperienza decine di volta all'estero... Ragazze: il buongiorno si vede dal mattino! Risparmiate e rivolgetevi ad agenzie più serie e a persone più competenti e umane.

The selection and interview process is very easy to follow. May 13,2024Love the experience so far, but au pairs should be paid more due to the high cost of everything in the US or work less hours and be able to get a second job if they wanted to 45h a week for less than 200$ is insane This is the only downside of the experience in my opinion

May 09,2024In general I like all the independence that I am learning to have here and try a new culture is exiting, also I feel I am improving my english but I do not feel my host family is completely honest with me about kids health and illness issues cause in their profile no have any indications of special cares but on the real routine both they need it including give them medicine at morning and at night and I did not know that before arrivve to this country and I thing this must be mandatory to appears and be comunicated previously but was not my case and I dont feel confidence here because this situation.
