Paid for Saturday delivery, scheduled, found out at 17-15pm via email delivery wasn’t happening, got in touch with Dawsons and explained I’d wasted a full day waiting, got a reply saying I hadn’t wasted a day 🤣🤣…rude without establishing the facts….I’d sat in and only update was received was after 5pm on Saturday so yes I had wasted my day, was given refund of £8.50 for the paid postage but no attempt to defuse the situation regarding what I thought was a flippant “you hadn’t wasted your day” …..challenged Dawson’s customer services about this and got nothing back. Second time I’ve used Dawsons and the last, first purchase turned up smashed ( cups) these were replaced but maybe I should have looked at other reviews before buying again. Lesson learnt
Damaged goods and NO RESPONSE - I ordered an outdoor patio set which arrived on time. However, there were a couple of areas with slight damage and I have been trying to get Dawsons to discuss the problem. Apart from 2 x automated e-mails acknowledging my original query in August and follow-up in September, I haven't heard from them. I've called and no-one answers the 'phone. VERY POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE.
Great price for some Christy’s bath mats. Arrived much, much earlier than the predicted date. This is my second order from them and I would definitely recommend.

Have used on a few occasions and all deliveries beautifully packaged and arrived as described. Items reasonably priced and also there are great offers to be had. We did have an issue with one item being faulty but the after sales care we received was excellent. I would like to say that Louise in customer services was so helpful; excellent communication and arranged for a courier to collect the faulty item and bring a replacement. Will definitely use this online store again.
I've ordered online from Dawsons a few times now. I'm particularly fond of the Lemax range. Dawsons always have a good selection and some of the best pricing to be found online. Even offer a discount code periodically too. Even better. I have always received good updates from them and DPD once I have placed an order and the orders have arrived before the ETA date at time of ordering. One thing I really like to see, they re-use packaging. The orders are still well wrapped and arrive perfect, but nice to see the recycling going on
Ordered stuff on Monday and the goods arrived well packed on Tuesday and I just paid the basic delivery charge. Didn't have any issues with the delivery either. I purchased a Everdure pizza stone /peel and slicer that was on offer. I must say that the store gives you some confidence that you are dealing with a decent place. Sorry to hear of other people having problems. Please read all of the reviews and experiences as everyone's situation is different. I would buy again from them.
Gone very downhill. Using DPD and goods never received, rang to explain this and they denied ever having problems with DPD as I again told them I have nothing but problems from DPD. Dawsons advice 'ring the depot' told them, have repeatedly tried and they don't pick up. Asked for a refund and awaiting a refund. Honestly, some of the mist truculent and rude Customer service I have ever experienced. They were once great. Will never use again and wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.
I ordered from BBQ but all correspondence comes from Dawson Stores. There is no flexibility in price match. I only just received my product and saw product for £40 cheaper at John Lewis with 5 year warranty. I so regret not ordering from John Lewis who would honour a price match for up to 28 days. BEWARE potential buyers of better offers elsewhere and better after care for customer service. The order was placed in the name of Carole Tate. I was looking to purchase garden seating but will not entertain such poor service.
Ordered a BBQ online and requested delivery for the following Friday as we were away. Sent 3 emails replying to the order confirmation email and to their "orders" and "support" email addresses. Had a confirmation email fro. DPD and successfully changed the delivery date to Friday. It was delivered the next day, not the Friday whilst we were away. Asked for it to be collected today and had an email to state it would be collected and they would call to confirm the time. No call, no collection. I was told it was all my fault as I selected the wrong delivery option - I simply selected the free delivery option given to me. No apology, emails all blamed me, multiple failed promises. Absolute shambles, and still not resolved. Avoid at all costs.
I bought a BBQ from BBQ world at the end of May. The BBQ arrived damaged, I immediately complained about this to Customer Services and the communication was all very positive and I was assured that I could use the BBQ and the would replace the damaged part. After many back and forward emails and missed promises, at nearly 3 months later I am still in a position where the damaged part has not been replaced. This is not the kind of service I would expect from a company such as BBQ World. All that said, the Louise the Customer Service contact has been very understanding throughout the process and promptly responded to my many emails for help and clarification.
Ordered tablemats and coasters, at a very good price. They arrived quickly, very well packaged, with good delivery tracking information. It was very easy to contact Dawsons with a query, which was swiftly resolved. First class service.
Terrible customer service. After purchasing an expensive Kettler garden room sofa, unwrapping and finding help to assemble it, and dealing with a large amount of packaging, my mother discovered that it was very wobbly due to an uneven leg or frame, and therefore not usable as seating. She is an older woman living by herself, and Dawsons have refused to offer any support further than insisting she must dismantle and repackage the sofa herself if she is to receive a replacement. Considering the cost and size of the item, this is extremely poor and insensitive customer service. My mother is left with little choice but to accept a faulty item, which I find disgusting.

For Jane personally from Garden furniture World department. I purchased a garden dining set and explained I needed it delivered at a later date once I move in; unfortunately it wasn’t put on the notes by another team member and it was already dispatched. I called back and luckily Jane went to great lengths to resolve this issue with the courier and it’s now being delivered on the correct date. Thank you Jane for helping me through such a stressful time your kindness and thoroughness doesn’t go unnoticed.
I purchased a parasol base yesterday. They priced matched the item and it was delivered today, only 24 hours after placing the order. Everybody was very helpful when I phoned them. I have bought garden furniture from them previously and they were very helpful then.
Ordered a Broil King BBQ & was delivered 05/07/23. I noticed straight away that the corner of the box had been damaged quite significantly & shrink wrapped over the damage. I couldn't see if there was any damaged to the bbq without opening the box completely, the delivery driver said if I did this & it was damaged, then he wouldn't be able to take it away safely. This I understood, so I managed to get my hand down the inside & I could feel that the metal wasn't straight. I contacted customer services straight away & they said to send it back with the driver & they'd send out a replacement ASAP. This was arranged for today 07/07/23, which I was pleased about, but I wasn't given an AM or PM delivery until this morning, so I had to arrange to be in all day again. I emailed customer services to ask for some form of compensation, which I thought only fair to be honest and suggested that they refund the cost of another item ordered to go with the bbq. I was informed by email, that unfortunately they do not have a compensation structure, when a whole new BBQ unit has been supplied. I'm just hoping that this Bbq is fully intact & has no damage to it when my son comes again, to put it together for me. A lot of re-arranging due to no fault of my own, so be aware, that if something happens to your items ordered, customer services will arrange to have a replacement sent out to you, but thry are not bothered if there is any inconvenience caused to you....obviously just happy to get your money.
I mistakenly believed I had ordered a Char-Broil Performance 340 Gas BBQ from BBQ World, however the actual website link was to BBQWorld part of Dawsons Department Store based at Clitheroe. The BBQ arrived badly damaged from Dawsons Department Store in Clitheroe (no mention made of BBQ World on the paperwork). Unfortunately prior to purchase I hadn't seen that returns had to be made in the original packaging and at a cost to the purchaser and if I had done so, I never would have ordered from this company. We were offered and accepted a partial refund of £60, as we couldn't return it in the original packaging and didn't want the extra expense of returning it. Pros: The delivery driver was very pleasant and so was Louise in accounts, however, I won't be buying from this company again!
Good customer service. We ordered a garden furniture set which unfortunately arrived slight damaged, we suspect it happened during transit as the box looked like it was dropped on the corner. Contacted customer service and they offered to replace the item free of charge, within a week we got a new replacement and the old one collected. Thank you very much!

I was a bit apprehensive with those more than 30% of negative feedbacks but all went very well Placed the order on late Monday evening and was delivered on Wednesday morning by DPD precisely at indicated time
