Personal touch
Using Elder Care Resource Planning was one of the best things we did when applying for Medicaid for my mom. After our initial contact, we set up a meeting to discuss what we needed and whether ECR could help us. When we discussed the price, I was thinking it was a bit of money but after everything we had to go through, it was well worth every penny and will definitely use ECR again if needed. Shenita was assigned to our case. She was wonderful. Always responded to phone calls and emails in a timely manner regardless of what inquiries we had. After pulling all documents that were required, she went to work. It took a while to finalize everything but she continued to work until it was completed. She was the contact person so we did not have to be in contact with social services. I would probably still be trying to get everything finalized. When applying for Medicaid, it is very intimidating. Especially if this is your first time and our social services system is not the greatest. There is much to be desired and don’t receive much help from them. We’re just happy we found ECR online.
5 STARS!!! My sisters and I were in tears trying to figure out how to get dad the long term care he needed. Shawna, at Eldercare was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. We put our worries and trust in Eldercare and it was the best thing for us and our dad. I could reassure dad that he would get the medical care he needed and that his finances were protected to care for mom. We will definitely use Eldercare again if needed. It was worth it!
What a relief it was talking to William S. I am so happy there is a friendly voice to talk to about all of my concerns. If you don't know where to start with Medicaid, this is a great start. My mother is 72 and disabled, she just moved in with us and it has been an extremely stressful experience to feel like I can never catch up with the long laundry list of things we need to do to make sure she gets the care she needs. William was a wealth of knowledge, answered all my questions throughly and had some really helpful insights. He also supplied me with email backup of places to reach out to for aging assistance and medicaid planning. Knowing that I have someone I can reach back out to for questions is so reassuring. I will say he sounded like an auctioneer on the phone the way he moves through benefits and ideas quickly but to me it seemed it was just because he has so much knowledge to share in not a lot of time! Thanks!!!
Absolutely devastating talking to William! The thought of my mother or father (who are both in their 80's) speaking with him chills my blood...and, really, I am not exaggerating. I am a former social worker now attorney who has worked in the healthcare field for several years. William kept cutting me off, wouldn't let me finish a thought, was very patronizing and, frankly, upsetting. I actually had to tell him that I was going to end the conversation because speaking with him was so upsetting. I would ask a specific question and he repeated an answer a couple of times to something I did not ask. I would encourage anyone who is seeking assistance for their parents to be with your mom and/or dad when making all calls; our parents need advocacy and deserve to be treated with dignity.
At the point of needing their services, most people are in a tough spot. So are we. It's a lot of information to wrap your head around, and it's a lot of emotions to process. They were thoughtful, informed, and empathetic, exceeding all of my expectations. I can't imagine where we'd be without finding them. I spoke with Michael and Margaret, and they were fantastic.
A few pot holes but all and all everything worked out well and came through in the end and now receiving what we worked for.Thank you Eldercare Resource Planning
As I have said to Bambi, she was helpful in guiding me to our goal as what or what not was to be reported. We ar with her help.e very pleased
The whole thing went just fine. It did take about 6 weeks but my understanding is that is pretty normal. It took a lot of work on my part getting everything they needed but we got it done!
I am very satisfied about their service. It was a long process and stressful to me for what it entails as a process and paperwork, but definitely with Katherin guide and excellent follow up each step of the way, I was able to entirely rely on their work. Sure enough, it was successful! Thank you,
Thank you so much. This is something you don’t do every day so I did not have the knowledge or know how to pursue it when I was denied help with my husband’s financial needs. That’s where Eldercare took over and walked me through the whole process. Jennifer literally took over and assured me that we can get this done. She was a godsend. I was ready to give up but she assured me that we can get this done, and we did! Thanks again Eldercare and thank you Jennifer. I would recommend Eldercare to anyone who is going through this. You can not do it alone.
So helpful, would recommend them without hesitation! They had such a great attention to detail and made sure we were prepared with what was needed to apply for Medicaid and were more knowledgeable than even an attorney that we had consulted when it comes to the ins and outs of Medicaid.
Ms. Liz Gomez did an excellent job of helping through the process.
Eldercare Resource Planning helped me to navigate the overly-complex Medicaid application process for my father. Amber was able to answer all of my questions quickly and was very patient, kind, and empathetic the entire time. I can't imagine going through this process on my own.
Amber was so helpful in navigating this immensely confusing process. I would highly recommend Eldercare Resources!!
Shawna and her team at Eldercare Resource Planning were outstanding. Keys to solid business foundation...communication, communication, communication! Living a good hour away from my parents home (basically in another state) I wouldn't have known where to start the process. Eldercare Resource Planning and myself did the pre-qualification call to see if I (my parents) fit into their criteria for offering help. We did. From there, Shawna took the lead and worked with the State of Ohio Medicaid department. It was a long process, but Shawna kept in constant contact and helped get me through all the hoops and hurdles. A lot of paperwork, but her team handled that while she told what to look for. My time is extremely valuable and to take time away from my daily commitments was not an option. Do yourself a favor and do your Due Diligence, weigh the costs of your time vs the time to locate documents AND have calls/emails with whatever State Department of Aging, and you'll see exactly why this statement rings true: always hire the experts in the game, and you'll see that it was well worth the time! Thank you!
The team was patient, very helpful and considerate. We are appreciative!
I had an Memory care attorney in the beginning to help me apply my husband for Medicaid. He had his information for 3 months and did nothing. I fired him and found Eldercare Resource Planning. Mr. William Shrodes helped me understand the process and after talking with him I felt I could trust his company. Within 2 weeks Denice had the application into DHS. I later was assigned to Tiana. She also was extremely kind, knowledgeable and self directed in my interest. I was very happy with the honest, reliable and efficient service.
