Mar 11,2023I have had a horrible experience using this company. They start off all nice trying to get you on board, in reality all the care about is getting your money. I was given false promises from the beginning on time scales for several things. I was assigned a web designer who's first language was not english which resulted in me having to ask for edits 2-3 times before they would be done. It was a long drawn out process for 2 weeks and I got nowhere. When I asked to cancel the company apologized and assigned me a new designer based in the UK who was good to deal with. It was then due to move to the next stage and I was told my landing page would be ready within 24 hours, I heard nothing for 7 days. It has been very stressful working with this company. I was excited to start my business and working with them held me back from going live. I was lucky to be put in touch with an amazing web designer who got me a very professional website created, coded and live within 1 week (Insomnia web design) Elevate take on too many projects in order to make money, that's why they give you long time scales. In reality, you can get a great website in a fraction of the time if you go to someone that will be focused on your project. As my website from Elevate has not went to the coding stage, they have only done the design part which is what you pay a 50% fee for, they are now refusing to give me a 50% refund of the overall fee I paid to them, even though they have only done half the work. It is shocking. As soon as you pay, you will get emails about additional costs with other departments pushing to sell you things. I mentioned the bad reviews to the salesman I spoke to in the beginning and he had an answer for everything, it was always the customers fault. I really wish I trusted my gut instinct. I've now paid nearly £700 over 2 months ago and have no website. Avoid this company at all costs!!

However now that we have the design right the support from the team with guidance has been great and I can’t fault that.

Mar 02,2023It's so hard to write this review because this company have some great, lovey, professional people around the world, so how they managed be so bad is a mystery to us. The building of the site had some challenges my wife is an artist and colour is important on occasion we found a small tweak on occasions met with a completely different page and back to the beginning again. We are technically rubbish it's why we need to pay someone, but it was like they worked to a template and anything outside that was a problem. Everything is an extra cost, the right wording, a logo which was OK for us because art work and wording we could do however we did believe that we paid for a fully designed website, so be aware. We got to a place eventually that we could sign off paid the second half of the agreed fee and went live. What was strange was we paid the first payment to Webcreation and the Second to ElevateOM we were told it was a name change, we dealt with the same people most of the time so thought nothing of it till the end of our time with them. The website was what we wanted it worked mostly through it changed itself or stuff stopped working but the service team fixed it in a timely manner. We asked why and were told it was plug in's and problems with WordPress which was a surprise because we only heard good things about WordPress alarm bells started. We were coming to the end of our year and were looking at options. We then received a renewal notice 4 times higher than we had been promised in writing, which we challenged. We were promised Webcare max from £95 + vat they said that was a basic package and it states from. The problem we had was we were promised Webcare max not a basic package without support. Consider the only good thing that we have experienced is when their software caused a problem the support service fixed it. So after many emails with ElevateOM refusing to acknowledge what was in writing and on one occasion stating our original order was with Webcreation that no longer exists we knew we could not be involved with this company. Be aware Webcreation/ElevateOM tried to get us to transfer our domain name to then which was established over 12 years with us, a family member advised us against this. What great advice that was, we read some of the reviews and migrated the site before formally informing ElevateOM of ending the contract. The new hosting company were brilliant however there was a problem getting a SSL certificate because even though we never signed our Domain over to then they retained information that we didn't have so were still in control of our domain, what was worse refusing to suply the company we pay for the domain the information needed to make the necessary changes to quickly get the security certificate. Luckily for us they came up with a work around which may of ment some days of down time but fixed the problem in a couple of hours. We are still going to use the internal complaints procedure and report our experience to Trading standards who knows it may lead to another name change,we look forward to seeing ElevateOMs reply. Well I have received the reply what a laugh they took some of the staff from web creation. Well according to the government website they took all of the directors. They offer different packages which is strange because they use the same names as Webcreation did for their packages. They are all heart they saved our website project, REALLY it would of been nice to be asked if we wanted you to save our project and I have the email it was purely a name change. Your products are rubbish your excuses are worse.
