I am so pleased I have found Farmison. My husband fancied some fillet of beef and being off food through illness I looked into purchasing some. Tried supermarkets and the local butcher, but nothing compered to Farmison and Co. I have since purchased assorted meats, sausages etc and have been very happy with it. Delivery is always on time too.
No customer service whats so ever. No reply to my email, no answering of their phone lines. My meat was not delivered to my address.
Our delivery turned up when it said it would and the meat looks of good quality, but we were disappointed to discover we had a missing item (ordered 3 trays of lard prepared potatoes and only received 2). When calling customer services they said they had sold out so couldn’t send a replacement and could only issue a refund of the missing item. They were apologetic but the tone was that we should be grateful for what we received as the potatoes have been so popular. The whole point of ordering them was for convenience of not having to prep which we now have to do. There was no offer of a goodwill gesture even after asking. Don’t get me wrong It seems like a good company and we were happy with them when we last ordered but this review may be helpful if you’re thinking of ordering for a special occasion.
Very disappointed with Farmison - I ordered a 2.5kg speciality Christmas beef roasting joint (45 day heritage) months ago, to be delivered on 20th December. What they sent me was a standard 32-day aged rib joint and a whopping 5kg at that (and no, that doesn’t make up for it as this isn’t what I ordered). While their customer service team were very apologetic on the phone, I was not happy to be told they’d sold out of the Christmas beef (so where was mine?!) and couldn’t send a replacement (which wouldn’t have been possible this close to Christmas anyway). Farmison, if you advertise a speciality Christmas product then you should honour those orders & not send out whatever is left because you didn’t stock take/plan accordingly for your customers. Sorry to say I’ll be ordering from Fortnum & Mason again next year as at least they’ve been consistently reliable for the last 10+ years.
The customer service is excellent and efficient, they use a sensible delivery company, but above all, the quality of the meat is superb, and has been consistently, since we started using them 6 years ago. We were thrilled to see them be saved from Administration - goodness only knows what we'd have done otherwise!
Family members bought us a sausage selection. Not tried the other flavours yet but hope they are better than the pork and apple sausages. No taste of apple whatsoever and a very much over mechanised pork texture. Tesco finest sausages are better than these and at much less cost. Sadly you don't live up to mission statement.
Lovely flavoursome steak strips. Prompt service. Packed very well. Have purchased from Farmison a few times & have found the meat of excellent quality. Customer service is also very good.
Inefficient customer service. They do not keep on top of their emails and focus more on churning out the orders, rather than putting the customers needs at the forefront. Will not use again and will not recommend. Christmas is a busy period for all of us and as a business they should be prepared for this. As Christmas isn’t going anywhere and it occurs every year.
I have never used this company. I ordered a 5 bone rib beef that was very expensive. I ordered this on the basis of their reviews on their website. I was very disappointed as the beef I received are very fatty and the way it was delivered was unacceptable. As it was just left outside my front door. So don't buy from this company as it is not worth the money you will spend.
Booked Xmas Turkey, can you guess what occasion? Turned up with a short date to be consumed by 10/12. Last time I check Xmas is 25/12 Told to freeze it - can get a frozen Turkey from Iceland for 12.99.
After finding out horrors about supermarkets and stressed meat which you eat the stress literally I started buying grass fed and giving up convenience food to start cooking from scratch again. I'm not huge meat eater but I do like the burgers mince and chicken I buy from this butcher and lamb steaks diced beef for casseroles. I always buy my ketchup and brown sauce from here now as supermarkets is all sugar now but the ketchup is very expensive for such a small bottle that's my only complaint. The meat is tender and I feel safe eating it unlike supermarkets. It arrives on time every month but they could do with some plastic lining inside the box as it does start to defrost before arriving. I'll see you again in Jan happy Christmas to you all. Support local farmers government are trying to ruin them remember no farmer's no food!! This was my first on line butcher I've used and haven't changed yet to try any others that's how much I enjoy the meat.
Great mixed box - all looks great. Already had the chicken and it was delicous!
I ordered 500 gms of diced venison for a casserole. With the haunch you expect some fat which will render during slow cooking, but this had been poorly butchered and was full of fat and sinew and when cut into pieces that were suitable for the casserole I only had 200 gms left. Won't nbe ordering from them again.
I thought I’d have a change from Pipers, our usual meat supplier having been bombarded with offers from here. I rang mid morning for advice, after 15 minutes music I got advice from a helpful woman. Tried to order large rib joint. It wouldn’t complete my order. Rang early afternoon, after another very, very long wait, I got an answering machine. Left my name and number, no call back! Tried again at 4-20 pm exactly the same experience. They have my number but will probably reply to this with inanities ! I think I’ll stick with Pipers, they are excellent.
First time buying grass fed meat as I've woken up to supermarket horrors. Lovely meat I bought mince which was so tender the burgers were lovely and soft too the died beef equally good it's just a bit pricey but if you want to eat better you have to pay better although I'm not sure how long I can keep it up but supermarket are way to expensive for low quality ingredients half portion size junk food rubbish that doesn't benefit you in any way. I didn't like the lamb sausages or the Cumberland though sorry about that. My only complaint is the boxes was soaking wet where it was de frosting I would recommend lining the box with waterproof thick insulated plastic.
Missing items despite being available on website. Email informing after delivery sent so no chance to cancel rest of order. They tried to issue a credit note on website rather than automatic refund. Poor customer service all around
great meat at good price fantastic service delivered on time
Good quality meat, delivery was very prompt. Would definitely use again

Dec 24,2024My order this year was poorly packaged and, as a result, the gravy I had ordered had exploded and one of the packs of meat had split. The spilt liquid had compromised the integrity of the delivery box as well. To make matters worse, DPD just dumped it outside my gate, right on the pavement. I've contacted customer service and had no reply. I will definitely not be ordering my Christmas food from Farmison again.
