Well what a shame, thought I would give Farmison a go and ordered £64.00 of beef and sausage on the 18th December due to the guaranteed 20th December delivery. Clearly things have gone horribly wrong for Farmison, but you must question the managements decision to continue to use DPD despite the barrage of complaints about non-delivery. Sadly you get a standard BOT response from the care@ email (probably changing that soon to wedontcare@) and nothing else except a reassuring message that the product is packaged so it is fresh for 72 hours. Sadly DPD had had my delivery for 84 hours at that stage and it is now approaching 144 hours and still no sign of my order! As the £55 rib of beef was for Christmas day, like the majority of Farmison customers it is off to the supermarket to do what we should have done in the first place! I am now being spammed with "thank you for your first order" and welcome promotions which is rather insensitive considering that DPD has probably put my order in the bin now as the product will be out of date. Rather than sending me promotional emails try responding to mine instead. Will I get a refund? If I ever get a response from the BOT I will let you know. But to anyone considering using Farmison, my advice would be to delay until you see consistent improvements in the reviews and support your local butcher instead. Zero stars :( **UPDATE** Now received an email offering £6 voucher to send the packaging back! These guys are hilarious.
My order left on Monday (19/12) for for next day delivery it’s now Christmas Eve and still no delivery. Yes I understand it’s a busy time, and the delays have been down to DPD but that doesn’t help me have Christmas dinner. I can’t comment on the quality of something that hasn’t arrived. But I’m very disappointed that I could not even get to communicate with Farmison or DPD for any updates on the progress of my parcel. Yes they have sent out a generic email with apologies, and put the blame squarely on DPD. I am now without the meat I wanted for Christmas Day. Merry Christmas everyone
Christmas order arrived with a 2 day USE BY date. Not fit for purpose. No response from 'Customer Service' despite 10+ emails. Customer Service telephones not manned - waited 25+ minutes to be told Customer Service not available - twice
I ordered a 7kg FRESH turkey (as advertised) and received a FROZEN one. Their excuse is it's not "frozen" it is "deep chilled". Other producers had the good grace not to deceive their customer by letting you know that the bird was not "fresh". Farmison however have intentionally misrepresented the product in the hope that we won't notice. I know that bird-flu has affected production, but there's no need to be untruthful to customers. I am pursuing a partial refund and will not use them again. I suspect I'll have to resort to the SCC for resolution given the arrogant responses I've had so far.
Ordered our Christmas food in September due for delivery yesterday Did not arrive . No communication from farmison or response on any platform until today. When they said it will come today and confirmed it was with DPD. However still not arrived and no communication from DPD with a delivery slot. We already had to go buy more food yesterday as they never responded to us despite multiple attempts. Even if this is not their fault and sits with the delivery company the way they have handled it is atrocious. I just hope I get my £200 back for the food and that has never arrived ! My advice - do not buy from here.
Like many of the recent reviews here my delivery didn’t arrive!! Was due to arrive on Monday, no show and was told of a 1 day delay by DPD. Still nothing on Tuesday, customer service said they would send out a replacement which was due to arrive yesterday and guess what…nope no delivery. DPD must be having wonderful Christmas dinners this year!! So it’s either meat free or brave it in the local supermarket for me today 23.12.22, just what I was trying to avoid! There is no way any local butcher will have anything in stock now! What makes it extra annoying is seeing the likes of Dan Walker from the TV (who I do like, no offence to Dan) showing off his Turkey and Beef on social media which he got delivered from Farmison on time! I wonder if I was a celeb I’d have a nice Christmas dinner too? I’ve tried emailing and calling customer services to no avail, so I’m hoping my WhatsApp message gets through to ask for my refund! I’m afraid I’d avoid in future.
I've been a loyal customer until now. As everyone else, I also suffered from my parcel not being delivered, which is purely down to DPD; however my 2nd order was scheduled for tomorrow the 23rd, and hasn't been dispatched at all. What can I say, I'm glad I didn't invest in their business/share option.
Not sure what the quality of their meat is like as failed to deliver. Judging by their facebook page, I am not the only one. Ordered on 30th November for a 20th December delivery but failed to turn up. Lots of excuses, but finally a message from DPD (the courier) saying it will not be delivering as food is out of date. Tried contacting the company for a refund, but they are not answering the phones or acknowledging e-mails, so I guess it will be a credit card claim or county court application, so be warned.
Ordered well in advance of Christmas to be delivered on the 20/12 only to be told delivery had changed to 21st then 22nd and finally that it wouldn't be possible to deliver and that delivery company would be disposing of parcel. (Guess someone at DPD will be enjoying by Christmas dinner!) I'm now stuck with trying to source locally at the last minute and wish I had just stuck with my local butcher anyway. Farmison agreed to refund me (yet to happen) but they have let me down and for an online butcher this is a fundamental part of their business. I would avoid if you don't want to be let down at the last minute.
Can't comment on the quality of the meat as it hasn't arrived. Handed over to DPD on Monday night for delivery on Tuesday. Didn't arrive Tuesday and DPD tracking said problem with delivery however it would be delivered Wednesday. Yet another day wasted. On Wednesday it said delivery Thursday - which is the last day it would be viable. Gone into tracking on Thursday and the goal posts have changed again - "There is currently a 1 day delay in your area due to an unexpected issue". Obviously wouldn't risk eating the meat if it did arrive Friday so have asked for a refund. Farmison have acknowledged that this isn't acceptable and have promised to give a refund, so that is something and hopefully will be honoured. Annoying to have waited in until 11 each day and now having to source replacements. Such a shame as I read that Farmison products are very good but partnering with such an unreliable delivery service means I won't risk ordering again. I have yet to hear of anyone having a good experience with DPD which makes me wonder how their Trustpilot rating is so good.
I ordered my Christmas meat back in September for delivery today 20th December. Found out that Farmison have used DPD and my order is delayed and likely not to be delivered until 21st or even 22nd December!! Rang Farmison who could not be bothered to even track my parcel. I have located the parcels and they are at a DPD hub 129 miles from Farmison. These parcels then have to go back up North to my local DPD in Hebburn. Don’t use Farmison the customer service is abysmal
Ordered a beef wellington for an important family occasion. This was scheduled to be delivered on Friday. It didn't arrive so I called customer service on Saturday. I was promised that it would arrive in Saturday so I didn't make an alternative plan. I then received a WhatsApp message at about the time we meant to sit down apologising for letting me down and blaming DPD. While I suspect DPD are at fault, it is still a very poor level of customer service from Farmison.
I was really pleased with my first order from Farmison. Free range and organic meat is important to me. All their products tasted great. One item was missing from the package and they sorted out the issue immediately. Have ordered again.
I can't comment on the quality as not delivered on 9th December as per order. Told over phone will be today (10th December) but order still sat at the DPD depot and not out for delivery by 11am as they quote. Food was for tomorrow for early family Christmas as some away over festive period but sick of waiting in for late delivery with no communications whatsoever and got to shop elsewhere now. Requested order cancellation and refund via both WhatsApp and via email for one received Thursday about one item being out-of stock. Added to that i don't want food stuck at a dpd depot with no assurances it's being stored correctly when despatched for delivery yesterday and still not delivered today. I would avoid based on my experience as cannot be relied upon and can't blame strikes as this is dpd they use, not RM. Avoid if want a smooth transaction Update Saturday evening. Rang today and told by them that if not delivered by today then the order could be cancelled and either refunded or vouchers. Just had reply to earlier WhatsApp message trying to get out of refund by saying Dpd have 2 days to deliver, so if not received Sunday now will get refund, Sundayis 3rd day and that's too late anyhow for what order was to be used for. They ask you to select a day and I chose 9th December over a week in advance of order being made, they didn't deliver Friday nor Saturday now because DPD got delays. That's not my problem, your contract is with me and delivery agreed by both parties was 9th December. Who regulates these cowboy online retailers, as I want to go formal having paid £69 and not getting my delivery when I needed it or was meant to be delivered for. Like other business who have regulatirs, is it the office of fair trading or someone else? Avoid or suffer at your peril
Ordered a turkey for a family ‘early Christmas dinner’ as many of us would be away. The order was placed 3 weeks before and paid for specific day delivery. Never arrived. Now I am left frantically trying to find a turkey. Called and was told, ‘not our fault, the delivery company DPD is in the wrong’. To that I say it is still the fault of Farmison for not managing the delivery company. If you need something for a specific day, do not use Farmison. Truly unreliable.
Despite having ordered 2 weeks advance and selecting my delivery date, the order did not arrive on the date as promised. The lack of delivery (and lack of update) resulted in a last minute frantic effort to try and find a replacement dinner for a special occasion. Additionally, as the delivery was made the following day when we are not home for 3 days the food will now be ruined and need thrown out. Customer service offered a paltry 15% discount rather than a full refund. While I have tried meat in the past from Farmison it is generally ok (but no better than a local farmshop), hence the additional star. I would not recommend Farmison as the delivery is not reliable enough, save your money and shop locally where you can see the produce and be guaranteed you will actually receive it!
Typically good but now lying or just terrible customer service. I had an order cancelled the night before (which is fine sometime this happens) but it was for a crispy duck that they say they brine for 3 days and then hang for 48 hours. So, either they don't do what they say to the duck, or they didn't cancel the order when they knew they didn't have enough in stock. All irrelevant - I'm annoyed that they didn't even recognise the above.
The quality is very good. Minus a star because the burgers were packed at the bottom of the box, so arrived squished (so probably won't get those again due to the inconvenience)
I've been buying from Farmision for a while now. Always excellent meat and delivered as expected. I believe in judging a company by their response to an issue, and on that basis alone 5*. DPD delivered to the wrong address, but all sorted quickly and a new delivery sorted. Rachel you are a diamond :)

Dec 24,2022Placed order for bronze turkey late November, for delivery before noon 24th December. Got a call approx noon to say could no longer deliver, some rubbish about it being stuck at a depot. Left high & dry at 11.59! Atrocious service. Avoid this company!
