Nov 03,2020We have just taken our dog to the vets to be put to sleep. We had a video call with a vet last night who said he looked perfectly fine and nothing to worry about. We would not have contacted them in the first place if we thought he was okay.

Also great for pets nervous of going to the vets if is just a question or concern that can be answered via video call without the stress of transporting them to the vets

Nov 03,2020The vet carried out a thorough examination (as thorough as it can be remotely) and put our minds at rest that there was nothing to be concerned about. I get this service as part of my insurance package and it's great when our little pooch starts acting strangely in the middle of the night - and you're sat there thinking is this something serious? Do I need to take him to the emergency vets? It's very reassuring to know that you can video call a qualified vet anytime day or night.

Nov 03,2020A fantastic service. At 8 o clock in the evening, our 14 week old puppy suffered a severe reaction to some oily fish. The vet that we had a video call with gave some great advice and put our minds at rest. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you Horatio!!

Nov 03,2020Reassurance on a video call, I was unsure if I needed to take my pet to out of hours vets. Making the video call helped my decision which I glad about as out of hours vet said he needed intensive care treatment.

I have used Firstvet 3 or 4 times now and find the service so reassuring due to the thorough assessment and clear advice. The email summary is incredibly helpful and even better that they send it to the vet too

Nov 03,2020This was my first experience of using this service (and I don't generally leave a review). It was relatively easy to install the app and I managed to make contact with the vet, who was patient and helpful. That's before I linked up for the video call. My dog had a split toe nail and so I could use the video camera to show her exactly where it was and the extent of the damage. The advice was as I'd expected, "spot on" as we agreed the next step forward for the care of my dog. At the end of our discussion the vet asked for my local vets details and offered to email them the details of our communication and suggested outcome. Which she did with perfect timing. My dog is now booked in for his toe nail removing first thing in the morning. 😊 Very happy using this service, I was quite impressed.
