Good build quality overall, the shelf’s with the bolt support needed some retooling, the washer/plate detail was not level creating an uneven slightly loose pressure point on the plywood. The bolt and washer had to be fully removed for install to the wall. Tough for a one person team.
I purchased by first tall shelf from Floyd in 2018. At the time, it was a relatively new furniture company, offering well-designed furniture with good quality and at a relatively competitive price. My original Floyd furniture has held up over time, but I'm sad to say the quality of new Floyd furniture has decreased, while the price has... increased. In 2023, I ordered 3 cabinet add-ons for my Floyd shelves. Every cabinet had either unfinished paint or chipped/scratched wood. The wood quality is also overall lower quality compared to my original Floyd furniture. Floyd sent me replacements—even one of the replacements still had chipped wood. At the end of the day, I like my original Floyd furniture, but wouldn't recommend buying Floyd today. Hopefully, they can get back to their original values of using high quality materials and having a high quality bar for the finished product.
I've purchased from Floyd before. A few years back, though. Previous purchase experiences were good. My guess is they are going through growing pains. It happens. There seems to be a quality control issue on top of the customer service one noted on this website. I ordered the y lamp. It came with crooked pins and those pins need to be straight to fit the lamp together. My husband, a mechanical engineer, was unable to assemble the lamp as is. We have yet to hear from Floyd. The robo response said give it 3-4 days and not to submit additional emails as that puts you to the back of the line. I'm going to do it their way and see how it goes. I will update my response when I hear from them...which I am certainly hoping to.
Wish I had read these reviews earlier. I ordered a bedside table and, like many others on here, I don’t know if I will ever receive it. I have ordered and received a sectional sofa and dining room set between when I ordered this bedside table and now. What about this small glued together plywood is so hard to source/assemble/ship? Every other company seems to be able to get their products to me but Floyd continues to email saying “I assure you we are working directly with our partners to ensure that your Floyd is delivered to you safely and as quickly as possible.”
I ordered two bedside tables on November 26, 2022 and have been waiting over 7 months for the second table to arrive. It is now June 2023. Apparently it was lost in transit. Floyd placed a replacement order for me but continues to provide inaccurate delivery estimates. Once the estimated delivery date passes, I have to reach out to inquire about an update. To do better in the future, Floyd's team should proactively provide updates if they are going to miss their estimated delivery date rather than waiting for the customer to reach out. Furthermore, Floyd's team continues to provide inaccurate estimates, thus stringing the customer along. The best practice would be to provide accurate delivery estimates, which all other retailers seem to be able to do just fine. At this point I no longer want to wait on the second beside table, and I no longer want to be a Floyd customer. Due to the extended wait and poor communication, I emailed Floyd to ask if I can return my bed and my first bedside table even though it is outside of the return window. The response is pending. I am hopeful that the Floyd team will understand how poor of a customer experience it has been for the past 7 months and help make things right by accommodating the return. That would be the ideal solution.
I hate this company so much I want to stop strangers from losing time and money. My first Floyd experience was pretty good. I have the sofa in birch/oat and I actually find the quality to be really good. However, this is the most uncomfortable couch which isn’t their fault since it is made of wood and I should have known better. It’s more for show looks great. Since I was happy with the quality of the couch I decided to go for the king size bed with headboard in walnut. This shipped relatively fast and I was pleasantly suprised. When the bed frame arrived the headboard and bed platform itself were two totally different colors and material. The headboard seemed like it was correct but the bottom was so different I can’t even understand what had happened. Nightmare trying to get ahold of customer service. You can send an email and wait 5-7 days for each response or you can call a phone number that’s hard to find only to get the answering machine or a person who has to transfer you to a department that is out right now. Anyway, finally get a hold and my options are a refund where I have to back up the bed or I could keep the entirely wrong bed for $200 less (Aka $1800 for a mismatched bed lol) so we went with the former. 12 weeks later I get an email saying my bed shipped. 3 weeks after that I get an email saying that there was a fire at the warehouse my bed is at and it’s gonna be another 9-13 weeks. I have now arranged to be completely refunded by floyd and not get a replacement because I am done. I’ve waited nearly 5 months for a 2000$ bed and they couldn’t even give me a phone call about the fire and ask me what I wanted to do. Oh and to make it better they have offered a $70 gift card for my inconvenience which is really just an incentive to give them more money because you can’t touch even a side table for less than 250$
Bed side tables ordered late Nov 2022. Both items came damaged (Feb 2023), not via transit but poor craftmanship and assembly - screws stripped out and scratches on painted surfaces. After reaching out to customer service, (two week response time) we are told replacement items would ship 5-6 weeks later. Fast forward to May 2, 2023 and we are told there is another delay, and items wont be shipped out until mid June. Over 7 months to deliver over $500 worth of product...and that's assuming either the items ship and/or they come undamaged. Overall, one of the worst experiences I've had with any company.
I purchased a $2500 bed that was delivered damaged. Despite multiple attempts to contact which can only be done via email they have not responded. I do not recommend this company
The customer service is horrible and non-existent. Tried calling three times and nobody responded. Emailed several times and the response was a bot. If I were you…I’d stay clear and purchase elsewhere.
The customer service has been horrible. We order a bed 11 weeks ago expecting 5-9 weeks per their website. There is no way to follow up with anyone directly. After a 2 emails, they said oh great news! the bed is on its way via our freight company RXO. That was 2.5 weeks ago and RXO states they never received the order. Still no response. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM FLOYD.
Absolutely miserable experience. I purchased over $700 in bedside tables from Floyd in NOVEMBER 2022! On the site it said it would be delivered before Christmas. It was a christmas present, and literally on Christmas day we received an email saying that actually the product never shipped and wouldn't ship for another 5-6 weeks from the date of the notice. I had to scramble and buy a giftcard for my daughter instead and apologize that no christmas presents would arrive in time. 6 weeks later (end of Jan), no update from Floyd. I emailed again and they took 13 days to respond. Finally, their response comes, and the tables are delayed again and its another "5-6 weeks from the date of this notice". So, 6 weeks later, I email again as the date has come and passed, it's now March and the company has taken my money and provided no products, has been cagey whenever I email, never replies in a timely manner, and then makes promises that they never deliver. Finally, a week after I emailed in March, they replied again saying 5-6 more weeks. They have never offered a discount, any money back. I spent $700 and don't expect to ever ever even see the product. I can't log into the site and there's no way to get an update except to use their contact form and wait 10 days for them to reply. This has been the most horrible customer experience I've seen in a long time. Avoid at all costs.
Do not purchase from this company. They are the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I am sorry that I did not do my due diligence and research customer reviews as they are all bad. Horrible just horrible. You can find much higher quality and aesthetically pleasing products than what you get from this joke of a company. Products did not look as they were advertised and are way too expensive for what you get. Customer service is awful. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Floyd should be ashamed of themselves. Stay away.
Purchased the sectional on September 5th. Delivery estimate was early October. In February there's still no couch to be found, one half was made and other half went missing. No customer support and at the end offered a refund after holding my money for 5 months.
HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE, STILL NOT RESOLVED! No customer service phone number to contact when the wrong order was sent to us. We spent thousands of dollars on a bed frame over Black Friday ( late November). It is now late January and the incorrect order is still sitting on our living room floor. Have to email with inept customer service who takes 3-5 business days to even respond. The matter could have been resolved in minutes if there was a phone number. This should be illegal business practice.
We ordered a couch in October that was supposed to be delivered within 3-7 weeks. Floyd had us deal with a middle man called RXO to coordinate the delivery of our shipment, which is misstep number one. Why am I paying you for furniture than having to take hours out of my life each week to follow up with RXO? In mid-November, RXO said that they had our sectional but not the pillows so could not deliver our couch. We pleaded with Floyd to let them ship the couch (RXO said there was a hard hold on the delivery) but Floyd would not release the couch until the pillows arrived at the RXO center. As of last week, after two months of waiting, RXO now says they only have the pillows, and NO COUCH. Where did the couch go?! Floyd's response to that has been they can order a new couch but it will take until March. We ordered this couch specifically to get here for the holidays. I've called pleading to talk with a supervisor many times but no one will call me back. As of today there is still no plan they have offered to send us the couch we have paid for. Atrocious.
Three pieces of our new sofa arrived damaged, as they were shipped with no protection other than loose plastic wrap. I tried calling the company immediately, only to learn that Floyd has no customer service number. The only way to get in touch with them is email. So frustrating.
I have two Floyd tables, a rectangular table in Fog and a round table in Birch. We've had major quality issues with both. The original round table top had a beautiful veneer but he clear coat was bad so it was returned for another. The replacement looked like a lower quality veneer was used and the table top has now warped to the point that one of the legs no longer touches the ground. Speaking of legs. One of the original legs had a giant metal bur on it which sliced my hand open when I was taking it out of the box. The leg was replaced as well. The rectangular table top has now bowed in the middle by half a centimeter. I would love to return both to get my money back but it is a battle. Will likely be stuck with another shoddy replacement.
This is to balance out the inherent bias of reviewing (i.e. people are more likely to write one in case of a bad experience). I bought the Floyd sofa, delivery from XPO was fine, and the sofa is extremely solid, well designed and manufactured. I'm very happy with it!
Floyd has the nerve to charge over $700 for shelves I have to assemble myself—-that are drilled wrong. No customer service. No phone service, no one answering their own chat line, no one answering 4 emails. Appalling.

Aug 29,2023You excel in furniture design but fall short in customer service. It took several days to receive a response from your customer support on two occasions. Moreover, there were instances where the promised actions were not fulfilled, leaving us disappointed. Unfortunately, there is no customer service phone number available for us to reach out to.
