Goget is fine until something goes wrong, and then they are the worst. I suggest along with leaving bad reviews, you contact the Office of Fair Trading in your state. It’s quick and easy to register a complaint, but they need more people to formally complain before goget will become a better service provider. And challenge the guff about it being peer to peer, it’s a business.

I’m waiting for my new car which has been delayed and need to use goget as my current car cannot accommodate our newborn twins. I’ve used them several times recently for doctors appointments and social events and it’s always incredibly stressful and expensive. One car had a huge dent in the back that meant the boot was almost impossible to close without having the “door open” sensor beep at you every time the car slowed down. The cars are always absolutely filthy with food crumbs and lolly wrappers everywhere. They smell of dog and cigarettes. The baby car seat is missing an extension cord to make it actually fit into the car. No sat nav in the car so you have to connect your phone if you actually remembered to bring a cable. Their booking system is far too rigid. There’s no discount for an early return but extending has a small window before a late fee is processed. Cheaper to book a rental for a whole day in many instances. At least they clean their cars.

If anyone asks me what the most redundant thing in the world is - my answer would be the Goget helpline. Calling Goget is as useful as asking a piece of leaf on the road for help. They provide no assistance apart from telling you to do things you’ve already attempted, before giving up and letting you sort the situation out on your own. I recently booked a van to hit up IKEA, fun times? Not if Goget can have a say. It was impossible to get to the van itself. The instructions in the app said to go into the building and take the elevator to B1 carpark. The only problem is the elevator required a residential fob to reach B1. I called the Goget helpline and after questioning my common sense and making sure I knew how to operate a lift, they told me to just wait and tailgate someone down to the carpark. Why is the Goget parking there if the public can’t access it? Good question, I think we will be pondering till the end of time. Thankfully, after waiting a while, I found a kind resident to let me down. Happy days? No, the story is just getting started… I remember thinking to myself, I better be able to enter the garage when I’m returning the car. Maybe I jinxed myself but, surprise suprise, upon returning to the carpark, the fob inside the van could not open the garage door. I once again called the Goget helpline and after a string of useless suggestions that I have already tried they told me to find an unrestricted parking spot nearby. I was directed to a few areas that were apparently unrestricted on their magical system. However, they all turned out to be 7am - 7pm paid meter parking. I was told that I couldn’t leave the van in these areas, and that I had to look for unrestricted parking. I ended up driving around for nearly an hour doing free labor for Goget without any success at finding unrestricted parking. I called them 3 times in total, reporting to my now apparent bosses that I couldn’t find any parking spots just to hear them say I have to find unrestricted parking and it’s my responsibility. At that point it was already 11pm, I was tired and quite frankly fuming. When voicing my dissatisfaction about the whole situation, the phone operator had the audacity to sass me out and tell me - “well, it's technically your responsibility to return the van after using it”. I’m sorry Goget that I am not a magical unicorn that can teleport into a locked garage. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, they reluctantly allowed me to park in the 7am - 7pm ticket zones, but not before defensively letting me know that it is still technically my responsibility if they can’t reach the car in time and anything happens to it. After all the calls and meaningless driving around, I finally returned home at around 12am (I had the Goget booked till 10pm) to have a restless sleep worrying about the van that was apparently my responsibility. Admittedly, the helpline couldn’t do much for the above situation, nevertheless their approach to handling the situation was still appalling. This is a problem with the service itself and unfortunately this is not a one-off. I’ve had to call the Goget helpline too many times in the past, with my issues being resolved at a hot rate of 0%. I originally signed up with Goget using a deal with my apartment where the monthly fees were waived. I’ve called Goget 4 times, each time with them re-assuring me that their non-existent tech team was going to look into it and update my account. I have given up at this point and to this day (and thankfully my last day) I am still being charged the monthly fees. For your sanity and to not be stuck in a situation where you literally require magical powers to take responsibility for something that is completely not your problem, reconsider before using this app.

I have been using goget for almost a year and many times I found the car dirty with pet hair and smelling cigarettes. Unfortunately when my membership period finishes, I will move to another provider.

It has been good. The only annoying thing has been that Goget should give a grace period to be able to extend the booking. It happened to me that I wanted to extend my booking and another person had already booked 10 minutes before my booking ended, therefore I did not have the time to return the car to the pod and and Goget issued me a fine

The go get service is fantastic for probation driver to get some experience on the road Ian a p2 holder and can't afford a car and most likely would become a fully licensed driver with limited to no experience behind the wheel. Down side you can't pay later for business but they do invoice you and you can't pre book without payment would be nice if they had the as a feature but also you can't ride with out booking would be nice if that option was available but other then that this service is fantastic definitely recommend

I booked the GoGet Van earlier this week for 2.5 hours initially. When I came to drop the car to the pod, there were two other GoGet cars parked incorrectly. So, I connected to Chat service of GoGet to give me free access to move the other two vehicles. I was given free access to move the vehicles for me to drop the GoGet Van to correct pod. The support team was very helpful and humble.

After the morning Ive had if I could give 0 stars I would. The idea of this service is great, if it works. This was the second time I tried to use this service as I am between having sold my car due to my new car being delayed coming into the country. Unfortunately for me I spent the morning standing next to the car, in the rain on the phone to customer service trying to get the card reader to work to get into the vehicle instead of at my meetings. Support were able to let me into the car to get out of the rain but for whatever reason the card reader was not working, I was told to "cut the cord" for the key to use that instead...Because who doesn't take heavy duty scissors to cut through metal everywhere with them, right? Or to call them every time I needed to start the car and wait on hold for 10 mins each time. If I needed to just go to one place and back I would have caught an Uber, but I booked this as I would be in and out of the car all morning and sitting on hold for 10 mins to start the car when I was already incredibly late due to the incompetence of a service that is built around convenience was not what I signed up for. Due to this I missed my meetings, which means I lost money. Given this is a service that is expensive, the cars are dirty and not serviced the absolute minimum this company could do is have the card reader work so its possible to actually use the car. I have requested my initial membership fees that I paid for earlier this week be refunded along with cancellation of all my bookings, so far my bookings have been cancelled but I have not received notification of my refund, which under the circumstances I believe to be more than fair.

I’ve been using GoGet for 4.5yrs now having sold my car in 2017. There are multiple cars within 200m of my house and they’re always ready to go! I’ve saved a fortune not needing to own and run a car. When I have have any problems with a goget car, the support team are quick and helpful to sort everything out.

The app is glitchy when trying to make and extend a booking. I tried several times over the course of my booking to extend the time I needed but was unsuccessful. In the end I was fined $25 for returning the van late. I emailed customer service about this issue but instead of a response I received an email prompt to submit this review. Also having to return the van to the same place of hire is often inconvenient and results in unnecessary driving.

GoGet is a mobility game changer for me. I don't regularly need a car and when I do there are a number of vehicles in close walking distance from my house. This gives me the flexibility to chose what type of car I need for the mission (small car for Saturday kids sport, SUV for camping, and van for a date with IKEA). I value not having the responsibility to own the car and look after insurances, repairs, rego, etc. and, importantly, it saves me a lot of money associated with the cost of car ownership. I hope GoGet continues to grow and further upgrades its fleet to more environmentally friendly vehicles.

Please increase the car pods within the Sydney Olympic Park vicinity. I remember you were having one at 1 Betty Cuthbert Avenue, near Opal tower but now it has been removed.

The previous driver had left the car with less than 1/4 tank of fuel and then when I got back to the goget pod at the end of my booking some clown in a Range Rover was parked there

I went to go get a car but car wasn't there because previous customer still had it, customer service was great and helpful to find a new one but a fair walk away. The second car wasn't there either but customer service helped again with horn sounding feature but that car RAV4 in Ernest st South Bank was locked in a secure parking facility without access. Customer service said the cars weren't supposed to be in there but that didn't help my situation. Customer service suggested another location but I'd had enough at that point and cancelled my booking. Hoping this helps for future service.

Handy to be able to grab a car and go, added bonus is not having to search for a park back in Newtown at the end of the trip. The car was clean, easy to find and had petrol.
