I've lived in many inner urban suburbs around the Sydney metro, and used GoGet almost every month. They provide a great service, user xp and customer service, that has improved considerably over the last decade I've been using it (would have given it 3 stars 5+ years ago). It's perfect for moving house around a busy work schedule or picking up furniture (Van's/Ute's all over the place), and is perfect for trips to other capital cities (even cost effective on longer road trips over many days). I've always found a car available within a 10 minute walk, even when needed immediately. You'll probably have to book vans days in advance though! When I've had the rare issues like dirty vehicles, missing cars, or even a lost card, they've usually sorted it out within an hour, and often well beyond expectations. In 2020 I had a truck kick up a rock on a rural backroad, that cracked the windscreen. I reported it and they didn't charge me a thing (even though they were well within their right to). Will continue using it and not owning a car as long as possible.
Booked a car from my closest pod only to find that the car wasnt there and had to walk to another area (past 2 other pods) to pick it up. Would have been nice to know this prior to booking so I could have chosen another car. Also, tried to return it to the correct pod only to find it full of other GoGet vehicles and ended up taking it back to where I found it & walking again
Good service, generally I can get a car close by although sometimes they're only available ten minuts walk or more away. Cars are generally clean although too often the previous user hasn't filled up the fuel which gets annoying. Support is very mixed - some staff are great and others clearly don't care. Minimum booking of one hour is a bit restrictive, half an hour bookings would be great (but don't seem to be on the agenda).
Have been using their service for about 4-5 years now. They have always been great and accessible. Only wish they would bring back 15 minutes intervals instead on 30 minutes intervals for booking. Sometimes I need that car at 10:15 but I have to book at 10am and those unused first 15 minutes are charged.
I love using my goget vehicle, it is just outside the door, plus easy to park when I get back . I filled the car with petrol, so easy I used the card which was in the vehicle so simple and quick to process. I really enjoy driving my goget car.
Great service, good cars. Easy commute.
Super convenient with lots of cars available everywhere and easy to book. The cars are always well maintained and ready to go. Refuelling process is super simple and they have your back if the previous user failed to refill. Only improvements would be if you could do one-way journeys, and bookings could be made shorter if you get back early. I generally under-book the time I need and then keep extending if I’m running longer.
It’s really easy to use and very handy. There are plenty of cars available. I’m enjoying a lot so far. :-)
trusted company, always there to help with any issues 24/7, j provided great instructions and advices on using the vehicle and inform the points that you should be aware of to avoid complications in the future use of GoGet vehicles. GG mate.
Dirty cars, expensive fees.
I was really surprised how easy it was. The car was literally 2 doors away from where I live. I printed up all the instructions, expecting the worse (having read all the troubleshooting options). It could not have been any better. It all worked, the petrol card worked. The best part was that when I dropped the car back, I was home. The price is good (I think $0.40km is a bit rough - that's $1 a mile) but all in all, I am very pleased with it. I've used it two more times this week.
I enjoy GoGet It replaced the need for a personal car
really handy service to have and use. So far my experience has been exemplary Proved most useful when moving house.
BEWARE - CANCELLED SUBSCRIPTION According to GoGet’s records I was responsible for using the vehicle after I returned it to its pod. The ramifications could be insane - imagine a critical incident occurred and the driver left the scene. GoGet help desk confirmed taps using my card - waiting to see the gps logs.
I’ve been using GoGet for a few years now and have always found them super convenient and super helpful whenever I have issues.
Been a member for 10 years and still loving it!
The council pods, where the cars are pick up and dropped off from, are the BEST idea! I love that I don’t have to worry about anything with GoGet! It all taken care of for me. And I’m reducing my carbon footprint in this way as well! Just brilliant 👏🏻
Turned up to collect the vehicle that I had hired and it wasn’t even there. This was the 3rd time this has happened to me in 2-3mnths. Critical appointments on 2 occasions of a booked rental, when the cars weren’t there caused me a lot of problems. Very bad that this still happens. There must be a way that renters can have ‘real time’ location. Or a warning before their rental starts that their vehicle isn’t at pick up spot or area. There is the technology for it.
I had booked a GoGet for 6 hours to drive to a national park destination 2-hours away. In short, to the best of my understanding/how it was explained, was that the car lost its signal and would not recognise my key card to let me back into the car and drive it. I spoke to about 4-5 customer service representatives before a towing service was called, to which the last representative told me to call their support centre to advise myself and the driver on next steps. 1) Towing service arrived 90 minutes after the call was made, since then I was almost 2/3 through my booked time slot. 2) GoGet charged my account an additional ~$22 for 2 hours because I was near the end time, even though their car's malfunction was not in my control nor was the tow truck wait time. 3) GoGet support centre didn't have any useful advise to the mechanic or tow truck driver on how to troubleshoot their car. They instead kept insisting the car had to be driven back to its pod to be handled. GoGet called a 2nd tow truck to go to my previous destination where I was stuck (even though I wasn't there anymore). 4) I spoke to ~10 support centre members and had to re-explain the situation each time because no one seemed to have kept notes in their system on what was happening, it felt as if each person kept reading off a script to tell me the same exact steps/reasons that I'd already heard all day (car lost signal, try turning the ignition on) 5) The mechanic managed to turn the car on manually and I drove it back to its pod immediately, only being about an hour over my originally booked time. 6) 3 GoGet support reps kept calling me while I was driving, left voicemails that further enforced that none of them kept notes because none of them knew that the car was already being driven back. One voicemail, after I demanded a full refund, said I would get a $25 credit which is unacceptable as $25 only just barely covered the $22 they charged me without any approval. 7) I called GoGet once the car was back in its pod to let them know there still seems to be an issue with the signal and I would like a refund for the entire day. I took off my work and booked the car specifically for a 10a-4p time slot, to which I only got to use the car for 2 hours to drive it from 10a-12p, and spent the rest of my day dealing with the car issues -- and somehow was charged more money for it. 8) I received an email for a $19 credit (not $25), which is completely unacceptable. It's been over a week and I have not heard a reply from GoGet support, and I refuse to rent another car from their service until this is rectified.

Oct 24,2021The goget app needs updating. Time selection with 12 am or 12 pm? It is clear that it should use 12 noon or 12 midnight or have confirmatory messages of the same. Extend my booking half or 1 hour etc? Should be a rolling choice of numbers. Wanted 24 hr booking? Not available, need to select end date/time. Causes problems for themselves and customers.
