We look after the legal side of residential property sales, purchases and remortgage. We act for corporate clients, 'High Street' Lenders and individuals wishing to change their mortgage product from one brand to another.
We are based in Maidenhead but provide services to customers and clients nationwide. We are available for personal meetings with our local clients and available on the phone for our clients who are based elsewhere in the country.

Nov 16,2023Having recently used Gordons Property Lawyers for my re-mortgage, I can state that I found the whole process seamless and easy. The Case Handler assigned to me was Chloe Godwin. Whenever I sent any queries I had via their online messaging platform, I would receive a reply within 2 days, often the same day. I have read some negative reviews online regarding this company, but this was not my experience at all. I think what people have to realise is that this company handle many cases via their online platform. All correspondence is sent to you via this online platform, including letters and documentation. Whenever a new document was uploaded or they required me to read something, I would receive an email advising me that I had a new message on my account. Documents could then be downloaded or printed off for my own records. Many of the documents that required signing by myself were completed online, were then signed and witnessed, before being scanned and then uploaded onto their online portal. They do state that you can physically send documentation to them via Royal Mail, however it is quicker to simply scan and then upload documents. I made sure that every document I uploaded was correctly titled before uploading them. This style of conveyancing may not be suitable or appropriate for some clients, especially those who are not comfortable using an online portal system. However, you can still send documents physically via post if you wish and they offer this service. In conclusion, I cannot fault the service I received from Gordons and I would pay particular thanks to Chloe who handled my case and made the whole process of re-mortgaging straightforward with excellent communication. Nov 13,2023Worst experience ever! AVOID AT ANY COST! We have a multiple properties but never had such a bad experience from any of the solicitors when going through remortgage propcess. The Gordons solicitors were sleeping till day before the completion and suddenly asking raft of documents etc. They had nearly three months to ask all documents and they were keep telling our broker that everything is in place and completion will happen as planned on 1st Nov. The whole remortgage completion process was delayed by 9 days and we ended up paying additional interest because of the lack of seriousness to our case, customer service and professionalism. Having said that Chloe Godwin was good enough to push our case to completion but it was too late! Wake up Gordons solicitors!

Nov 03,2023General sloppiness aside (wrong contact numbers given, wrong email address given, misplaced documents, mispelled our names, added last minute fees), both their welcome letter and the key facts illustration from our mortgage provider stated that the mortgage provider would pay any standard fees / disbursements. Gordons Property Lawyers then charged us these standard fees anyway, insisting that they weren't included, despite welcome letter saying otherwise.
