We look after the legal side of residential property sales, purchases and remortgage. We act for corporate clients, 'High Street' Lenders and individuals wishing to change their mortgage product from one brand to another.

We are based in Maidenhead but provide services to customers and clients nationwide. We are available for personal meetings with our local clients and available on the phone for our clients who are based elsewhere in the country.

Himanshu Kashyap dealt with a particularly difficult case. Whilst initially we had months for completion various stumbling blocks delayed completion. Himanshu was diligent, accessible and really lovely to deal with.

Our bank used Gordons for our remortgage. I found the portal great and easy to use. Chloe who was handling our case kept us updated regularly and always responded quickly when i had a question. Very happy with the service 🙂

For the most part my experience was OK, but I'm not sure I would choose to use Gordon's again. I was unhappy with a data breach at the beginning of the process, where an email had been sent containing my name and other details relating to my remortgage to an incorrect email address. The uploading of documents to the portal was easy enough and I received timely responses to my queries. However, I would echo the thoughts of another review that it is assumed that everyone knows how the process of remortgaging works, and as someone with very little experience in this area (in fact this was my first time) I didn't find them particularly forthcoming with help and advice! On completion day the figure received was not the one expected and despite me querying this in the run up to completion (there were a couple of things I didn't understand regarding the process, which was obvious from my messages) I didn't find the responses that helpful. Upon receiving the incorrect amount on completion day and querying this with them, there was little to no empathy and if anything, the 'blame' was pushed onto me for not understanding. A bit of compassion wouldn't go amiss, when dealing with those of us who are not financially or legally inclined!

Our case manager Ilze was amazing. Kept us fully informed during the whole process. Help to buy made this process difficult but Ilze was happy to go above and beyond to sort out their errors.
