We look after the legal side of residential property sales, purchases and remortgage. We act for corporate clients, 'High Street' Lenders and individuals wishing to change their mortgage product from one brand to another.
We are based in Maidenhead but provide services to customers and clients nationwide. We are available for personal meetings with our local clients and available on the phone for our clients who are based elsewhere in the country.

May 05,2023My experience with Gordon lawyers - First time using the firm for remortgage purposes. Received documents which required signing. Called the company for someone to go through the paperwork with me to help understand how to fill out correctly. Upon completion of this task i sent back via post. I received an email stating it is not acceptable & that it must be filled out again. FINE! I called up asking why this was the case as everything i did i.e filling the paperwork out was under the instruction of the advisor over the phone. (help over the phone) I then asked for a small compensation of £20 for the inconvenience to which i was told it was my fault for not filling correctly. I argued back that i went through the docs with a colleague from the company and that i filled with help from the team before proceeding. Nevertheless, i asked the advisor to send out compensation to which i was told the message will be passed on. Following morning ive called to chase this up of the cheque to which i was told it wont happen & it needs to be investigated of which advisor said all this. I stated do this in your own time. I wish to progress. Again i was told in the nicest way to do1! I stated I dont wish to continue business to which they were glad & happy to close my case! The stage i was at was signing the documents. Which is the endgame literally! So close yet so far!!! in the final stages ruined by own staff! Customer service was dreadful. Not helpful! Avoid if you can!

Apr 21,2023Efficient, proactive and the online tool kept us up to date on progress. When we did need to speak to someone to explain any part of our case we were easily able to reach someone by phone. (Our case officer was Ms. K*- M* O* ) It was a straight forward conveyancing but it was executed at the pace we required, thanks.

Apr 20,2023Shona who dealt with my remortgage was always helpful and quick to respond. My only issue was, and this is probably because I'm old fashioned, was the inability to speak to someone. There were times where I was unsure of what action to take and, although Shona was always clear and speedy in her response, I would've liked to have been able to talk to someone on the phone

Liked being able to do it all online, Ashley was really responsive and so I always knew where things were up to at any one time. Don't anticipate re-mortgaging in the future but would definitely come back here if I did!

Apr 04,2023We remortgaged with GP lawyers and our case was handled by Pamela Buitrago-Bonilla. The remortgage went on smoothly without any last minute hiccups. It is easy to underestimate the ways this can go wrong, and we have had it before when we paid the higher rates due to failed remortgaging. The online system is very helpful to exchange messages and documents, so that helped a lot. We did have to fill in a lot of documentation, so that felt frustrating at times, but it was all part of the success on the day. Overall very happy and would use again. Thanks
