Migrating my website over to Green Geeks was a critical decision for me and my spouse. I'm a 3D Artist with a portfolio website that has a mix of images spanning from 1K to 4K resolutions. I also built my own site so I have a lot in invested in it so performance and presentation is important for me. The performance is better than Godaddy's Managed Wordpress Hosting and the GUI that Green Geeks has is not only clean and organized but runs quickly. I can't say the same for Godaddy. Pricing is not only better but eco friendly aspect of Green Geeks enhances the entire experience. Their team time will manually migrate one Wordpress site for free, every other migration will cost you very little. Their time is fast and efficient. They migrated my spouse's site over and it was flawless. I migrated my own site which was easy because of Green Geeks awesome GUI. They use Softaculous and it's so easy to navigate. In fact, Green Geeks has been the most helpful chat I have ever come across on the Web. They helped me make a smooth transition from from my past web host to them. Their email communications are thorough and they continually keep me up-to-date. I love that they will create a basic Wordpress website for you -- and even make one-time changes for you. I think one of the most salient points is that I TRUST Green Geeks and I know they'll always be there to help me along my "Web way".
I signed up for web hosting with GreenGeeks last year. Everything was great with onboarding. They did check ins to see if I was setup with everything etc. At the time of renewal, a couple of things happened that were super disappointing. 1) my account was renewed despite asking for discontinuation of webhosting 2) my cancelation request - that clearly specified 'cancel web hosting' was re-labeled to 'cancel domain renewal' 3) my cancelation request mysteriously disappeared from the dashboard that listed all tickets. 4) took several back and forths over email to fight this out with them. In the end, they did refund the amount.
I have used various hosting services over the years, and am very pleased with GreenGeeks. They are responsive when I need help, and their site and online info is easy to access and understand. I was nervous about a recent server migration, but it couldn't have gone more smoothly.

The service just works as intended and as advertised. They also have excellent customer support and they actually respond to tickets in a very timely manner.
GreenGeeks will migrate your websites from servers without communicating via email nor opening a support ticket. Apparently, they only the internal notification system of the dashboard. When I asked support representative, I've been told that they no longer send emails, and that I should "keep an eye on the notification area under Dashboard." So if the customer doesn't login to GreenGeeks, they will not be notified about any changes to the account? This issue caused me several days of outage on an important client website. I've been working with GreenGeeks for over 2 years, and I'm incredibly disappointed their services and support dropped to such a degree. Will be moving my websites out and I would advise anyone who values reliability and communication with their hosting company to do the same
Their customer service is unparalleled. Not only extremely knowledgable and helpful, but they also seem to actually enjoy helping their customers. I have multiple email and web accounts with them and they have never failed to provide timely assistance when needed. You can't go wrong with Green Geeks. Or maybe I should say, you can't not go right with Green Geeks.
This is the worse web hosting company I've ever used. I signed up a couple of days ago. The techs are useless and migration of my site was impossible with one error message after another! I didn't even wait a day. I immediately cancelled the service, which took another half hour. They don't make it easy to cancel, with a form, confirmation, etc. Then comes the salt on the wound!! They send me a confirmed cancellation notice and a refund statement, however, my bank, which is one of the largest in the Nation, tells me no refund is pending. The bank immediately took off the charge. I called GREENGEEKS and they said the money was already refunded to the BANK, which was a total LIE! My bank had no transaction number! My bank told me no such refund came through, however, with all the proof I had in writing, my bank removed the charge. WHAT KIND OF LIE IS THIS, OR IS THIS A SCAM? GREENGEEKS are telling me MY BANK MADE A MISTAKE? STAY MILES AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTELY WORSE COMPANY I EVER HAVE DEALT WITH!!! I HAVE DECIDED TO CALL MY BANKK AND CHANGE THE CREDIT CARD NUMBER SO THIS TERRIBLE UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY DOES NOT EVER IN THE FUTURE TRY TO USE MY CREDIT CARD. THIS IS A RECOMMENDATION FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THIS COMPANY!

As the title says, I spent 23 years with what eventually became a Newfold Digital acquisition. As a legacy account, I increasingly found myself benefiting from legacy features that they didn't turn off (catch-all email addresses, large storage capacity) and hobbled by the need for à la carte feature purchases, redirected support, and pay-for-support offers for problems that any web hosting company should have provided for free. After a long three weeks of php/MySQL nonsense this past May/June, I began the search for a new provider and found GreenGeeks had both everything I needed in place and provided me support for a few things I wanted on the side that other hosting companies said they would not do. Migration for two websites was easy and my downtime of switching hosting and email was on the order of a few minutes during the total process. The support is great, the loading times are a fraction of what they were with my other company, and I appreciate the green stance the company has taken. I'm very happy and think they're well worth your consideration.
I’ve had other hosts in the past and they don’t hold a candle to this company. It’s affordable, it’s easy to setup and if you have any troubles the support team is there to help immediately. Definitely recommend
Edit: I am revising my review based on GreenGeeks responding to this review and correcting the situation. I have risen my rating from one star to three stars. Previous Review: I would never do business with Green Geeks again. After I transferred my hosting away to a different company, they still charged me for the renewal. This is after I got on Support with them to make SURE I was not going to be charged, and was assured I was not. I was told I no longer had any active hosting services with them, and therefore would not be charged. As a precaution, I tried to turn off "auto renewal", but there was no such functionality. So I tried to at least delete my credit card, so there could be no mistake on their end. There was no possible way to remove the card. Sure enough, I receive a charge for $162 for a renewed year of service. After calling support again, I was told I actually needed to cxl 5 days prior to renewal. Not only was this not mentioned on my previous chats (which they do not let the customer access), and was explicitly told I would NOT be charged as my service was no longer active. After some back and forth, I received a partial refund. I am absolutely furious that this is how they treat a customer who has used them off and on for YEARS with various websites. I would urge anyone reading this to get your services elsewhere. I found an AWESOME new host who I am very happy with and who have great prices, even upon renewal.
Greengeek is a very bad company, never take its service by mistake I am a blogger and I have been blogging for 10 years but I found GreenGeeks to be the worst service Greeengeek's hosting is very bad, I request you guys to never buy Greengeek hosting even by mistake GreenGeeks customer support is also very bad If you buy Log Hosting then your money will go waste I bought hosting from GreenGeeks but the service was very bad then I applied for refund but haven't received refund till now
