The company page says "hosting in Canada", specifies no currency, then charges in USD. I spoke to billing about this and they would not issue a refund for the difference so I asked to cancel my plan. Abhishek R. said he would not- even though the company's website says 30-back money-back guarantee. It wasn't until I threatened to get my credit card company and a consumer protection board involved that he finally relented and sent the information to cancel. I don't mind paying whatever is posted but fair is fair, and a company must disclose what currency they charge in, otherwise, the legal standard is local currency. The misrepresentation on price, and the customer service rep trying to pretend the 30-day money-back policy didn't exist is unethical and very poor customer service.
When I needed help, I got it, the tech support was there and solved all of my issues.I am not a pro web developer, I just manage my own site and so I need a bit of assistance setting up it GreenGeeks made it easy.
Greengeeks are the best web hosting company! I have been with all the big ones and nothing compares to the service you get with these guys. Every answer in support comes from another agent, they are not reading full previous messages and not solving the real issue. Wasting time repeating the same thing over and over. They Disabled Virus scan at hosting and they offer me to pay more than 100 $ to clean the database. Avoid this hosting if you don't want a headache.
Support is quick to answer, and my website is up and running (2 stars for that). But every answer in support comes from another agent, and often they contradict each other.
Everything is super,i gave 4 star because green geeks still needs to work on their emails,maybe patner with email providers like titan,webmail is very outdated for todays standards,apart from this the speed is the best.And i have tried many hosting companies...the speeed on green geeks and the security and the customer support ,Amazing.

UPDATE: as you can see in the greengeeks comment below, they did give me the "backup file" for my sites - however, this file did not contain critical information necessary for actually restoring my sites. I asked REPEATEDLY for just 1 hour of access to my account so I could recover YEARS worth of my work, which was promptly refused and ignored. GreenGeeks permanently suspended my account, so I no longer have access to the websites I've build and worked on over the past 10+ years. They literally deleted my business overnight without any warning, and dont even have the decency to give me access for one single hour so I can recover all of my files and work. I'm fine to leave your platform and go somewhere else, but let me at least recover my files so 10+ years of work aren't permanently erased. My business has been completely and utterly destroyed because of this trash company. I'll be taking them to court. To top it all off, they're even refusing to give me a refund on their services, which I've prepaid for the next 3 years. Avoid at ALL costs.
Great company, easy setup, especially after an annoying experience with GoDaddy (I never ever was able to setup email on my iPhone with GoDaddy, even though the phone was brand new). Also very responsive, I recommend!
I paid for an entire year. Greengeeks canceled my account three days later against their terms and conditions, but I accepted that. I have asked for a refund three times, and they still haven't answered my emails. Why does Greengeeks want to keep my money?
I made the unfortunate decision to sign up for GreenGeeks' web hosting service, paying for a full year in advance and several website migrations to their platform. Within a few months after handing over my money, GreenGeeks my account without any warning or advance notice. This “shoot first” approach crippled my online business and disrupted our entire operations, causing financial losses and customer chaos as nobody could communicate with our team. Their response? Two days I waited…. It took an excruciating two days for them to even acknowledge my inquiries about the suspension, leaving my customers stranded while my website and emails were completely frozen. Apparently they don’t believe in giving you advanced notice, or notifications to let you know if there is a problem. Their support team was completely tone deaf. GreenGeeks' support is in the same class as Facebook or Google ads - Once they have your money, they don’t care about your business, as they demonstrated a total lack of respect for me and my customers. Don’t risk your online business with GreenGeeks. Trust me, you’re better off with any other hosting provider than these clowns. I would definitely NOT recommend GreenGeeks. UPDATE: Just a brief update here to respond to GreenGeeks attempt to placate my experience with their service. They didn't apologize when suspended my services, they didn't apologize when I waited 2-3 days to receive a response (when I attempted to appeal their decision to suspended services), they didn't apologize when they refused a partial refund (I prepaid for an ENTIRE YEAR of service! and they suspended my service after 4 months. Sounds like a cash grab....), and they didn't apologize when they blocked my login into their dashboard, which they blocked after I asked a second time for a partial refund. Feels like they purposely waited, because it was just long enough that I could not file a chargeback with my credit card company. So again, DO NOT sign up for GreenGeeks Web Hosting! And if you choose to ignore this review... DO NOT PREPAY for an entire year!
GREEN AND CLEAN !! I have had GreenGeeks web hosting for over a year now and have experienced nothing but extreme help wherever I have needed it. The team are very polite and go as far as they can to help with any situation regarding my hosting and other issues. I like the fact that they help with the environment to keep our world clean. I had many issues with 2 hosting companies before I joined GreenGeeks with their support teams and getting hold of them wasn't easy. Thank you Green Geeks, please keep going the way you are.
