This is where I wish a less than one star option was available. I bought a TV at Costco and they put me on to these guys for installation. It was a 2 man job and Costco told me I had to contact Handy directly to schedule a second installer. I soon found out the only way to deal with them is through their app which doesn't work. No way existed to place an order for 2 installers. The chat room was a bot that kept telling me to reenter my information half a dozen times. I called Costco customer serice at least six times to help me, but even they couldn't reach these scam artists. The phone number goes straight to voice mail and no one responds. I pressed an option for call back and never got called back. I called on a Monday at 1:00 pm and the recording said it was after hours. Clearly these people excel at taking money then hiding from the public. A single guy from Handy showed up and immediately realized it was a 2 man job. I told him the history and asked him to contact his company. He told me--get this-- he had no way to contact them. Even their own installer can't reach them. I asked him how he communicated problems to the higher ups. He said "maybe email?" He tried the app and it didn't work, AND THIS GUY WORKED FOR THEM! Bottom line I got a refund from Costco. These people are middleman shills with zero customer service and no oversight of field technicians. DO NOT USE THEM.
Didn't finish the job, agreed to come back to finish it then abandoned the job. Also left the end of his sandwich in my apartment.
If I can give a rating below zero I would. Not only was I charged fully BEFORE the service because it won't allow you to book if you don't pay upfront. No one contacted me that they are not showing up. I waited the 4hr window of 4pm to 8pm then started making phone calls to which all were recordings that said I called after hours. THE WORST! I finally spoke with someone via chat and they don't want to refund my money and instead insisted that I reschedule in 2 days no sooner. Don't go through the same headache as I did. Right now I'm nervous because I don't know if someone will really show up in 2 days as rescheduled. The second booking was once again canceled!!!! No more!!! I am done with your company. I expect a full refund. I better get my money back. At this point I don't trust anything anyone from your company tells me!
Knowledgeable and very friendly
The "handyman" who came to assemble a $400 wardrobe/armoire. He did not follow basic assembly instructions. He built the piece in the wrong order and instead of building up, he build the heaviest piece to place on top of the smaller piece. Immediately upon shifting it ripped the pieces out of eachother and totally ruined the item. Now working with manufacturer to get a complete replacement of the item, which I will assemble myself. Hope you dont end up with this guy as well - Andrew McMillian

Awful and unethical company. The cleaner didn’t show up today. She lied saying she arrived. I got my money deducted. I complained to Handy but they also lied saying the system showed she had arrived. I sent them proof of my text asking her where she was and no response from her. I contacted Handy as soon as I realised she wasn’t showing up but they claim it was too late. I battle everyday with chronic pain so horrific that I am on the list for medical cannabis. I need extra help instead, I have struggled an hour today fighting Handy and trying to get my money back. Shameful!
I had change apt days several times and Handy made it easy. Very happy!
Dislike the amount of time took to install. Not all pieces were installed. Installation not complete during appointment time. Guy came back out a week later. Didn’t wire up the sensors, couldn’t connect it, didn’t adjust it. I spent Saturday installing the sensors, adjusting the door and programming the fob. Still can’t find the button to open from the wall.
Thomas, our pro, was excellent! Handy, not so much. Slow to communicate and processed my payment prior to my appointment. This was not as stated in their protocol.
