Jan 22,2025Half of the bare root hedging plants failed over a severe winter; frosts, high winds, saturating rains, etc. Contacted their helpdesk who asked for photos. Was pleasantly surprised when a lady (Debbie) phoned saying 'you don't look to have done anything wrong' and without question offered to replace all of the affected plants. Had to pay postage, but that was modest and reasonable. Through my personal experience, I would highly recommend this company.

Sep 27,2024Such good service! We ordered 13 English yew plants in June. 2,maybe 3 failed after being professionally planted and leaky hose watered through the summer. I contacted HD and they replaced two for just £15.99 courier cost and threw in a bag of plant food for the third tree. I wish all firms offered such exemplary service and customer care!

Aug 28,2024Hedges Direct were a superb company to deal with from start to finish. Christine (in sales) was so helpful and patient with my enquiry (around 500 shrubs). Ordering was smooth with an almost instantaneous confirmation, which gave confidence dealing with an online company. I was also kept up-to-date with my order along the way. Delivery didn't quite go to plan (something I'm hesitant to mention as I would hate to put people off using this company as I can't recommend them highly enough)... but, problems will always occur in life - things don't always go to plan - how people/a business deals with a problem speaks volumes, and the service received from both Hedges Direct and their Courier when my plants didn't arrive as expected, was second to none, and by the following morning I was made a priority and received my shrubs (plus phone updates from both) first thing! The shrubs themselves were impressively packaged on just 3 crates... I did a count this evening - having ordered 480 shrubs, I received 485!! How good is that! Presumably to allow for any damage in transit (there was none) but I really liked this attitude! Shrubs also arrived in great health etc and were far better than I expected them to be... I just hope I can manage to maintain the care that they received prior to arriving with me so that they flourish in their new environment.

Aug 03,2024Avoid! Accepted 2 of my plants have failed about £40...but want to charge me £16 foe delivery! Very disappointing, another company that wants your money but wont help when things go wrong. Will not buy from again...avoid as abysmal customer service

Jul 23,2024I purchased 28 Griselinia plants to plant a small hedge. The plants were very reasonably priced compared to local garden centres. The delivery was on time and all the plants looked in exceptional condition. I planted them early October 2023 and they’ve flourished! After trimming them in early spring, they grew so much they had to be trimmed again in July! I wasn’t sure about trimming again given the time of year and age of the plants so emailed hedges direct for some advice. The next day, they called to offer the advice which I needed. Excellent service from the start, I would highly recommend them.

Jun 16,2024I ordered 72 Portuguese Laurel hedging plants from Hedges Direct. I initially had some difficulty with their website charging me for my order, but a mail to customer service in the evening, was answered by 9.30am the next day and my issue resolved. All plants arrived on the Saturday after being ordered on the Thursday. They were in 1 box, laid sideways and seperated in layers. The plants look healthy and I will definitley use Hedges Direct in the future.

Jun 07,2024Ordered a total of 40 large yew hedges for my garden. Was nervous as this is a very big purchase for us. Hedges direct were great, good communication and polite. Delivery did have a hiccup but this was the pallet companies fault and when I rang customer service for Hedges direct they dealt with this swiftly. The hedges themselves are lovely quality and we are so pleased with them already.

May 29,2024Received replacement plants for some that had failed last year, they have unfortunately failed again, without planting them out this time and Hedges Direct aren't interested now. Very disappointing, another company that wants your money but wont help when things go wrong. Will not buy from again

May 23,2024Ordered 22 plants on Saturday and delivery arrived on Wednesday. Plants look fine, however, they all turned up side down in the box. I need to plant them immediately.
