Jul 21,2023What brilliant customer service I have received from Michael today. I accidentally ordered the wrong ivy plants. The ones that arrived were amazing, healthy and much larger than I expected, but unfortunately I wanted dark green all one colour and this is not what arrived. Emailed customer service to explain the situation and within a couple of hours, Michael had arranged collection of the 9 plants, for the following day. Absolutely superb service and the plants were so healthy and strong. Can highly recommend this company for excellent customer service and great quality plants. Doesn't happen enough these days! Well done Hedges Direct. You've got it spot on!

Jul 17,2023Fantastic customer service! Put in a fairly large order, had some issues. Phoned today and everything was sorted. The team were all super helpful (Paul and Kate), happy, friendly and polite. A breath of fresh air, do not hesitate to order from Hedges Direct!

Jul 11,2023First experience ordering from this company, and i was very impressed by the service. A stream of emails to keep me in the picture about the status of my order, ending with a very prompt delivery. My plant, a Elaeagnus Gilt Edge, was contained in a sturdy cardboard box, and arrived looking beautiful, and in good condition with moist soil and healthy roots. I would have no hesitation ordering with this firm in future.

Jul 07,2023Ordered a large quantity of plants last weekend. Then looked at trustpilot reviews and got a little worried at some comments. But credit where it is due. Staff very friendly and helpful with enquiries. As promised plants arrived mid week, looking very fresh and healthy. Extremely well packaged on pallets. Couldn't have wished for a better service. Therefore will be recommending hedges direst to others and also shopping with them in future. Thankyou

Jul 06,2023Really good customer service, I get the impression they are rather busy this time of year so I found a little patients is needed but I'm fine with that. I ordered a lot of bare root Hawthorne (75 plants) in April. Unfortunately a lot of them didn't take, I emailed Hedges Direct and after sending them some pictures they gave me a rather large credit note to replace them all. With it being out of season for bare root hedging I ordered a lot of potted hedge plants, they arrived today and it looked like I'd ordered a forest! I am made up with them and really hope they all survive this time🙏🙏

Jul 01,2023HEDGES NOT DIRECT. This company do not know how to run a business correctly, to satisfy, or fulfil orders made, and promises for their customers. If I had read the one///two//three star comments on Trustpilot for this company, I would've certainly used another company. It is frightening. On the 23rd June I ordered four green large, 175/200 cm, beech trees in 10 ltr pots. Priced at £49.99p each, plus, root treatment, and root builder, plus £60 delivery. I had a email on Thursday 29th June at 08.25 am saying my order would be delivered the next day (Friday 30th)between 8am and 6pm. I telephoned the company at around 3.00 pm on the 30th June and asked where my order was. I was told they were NOT going to be delivered that day. I asked why not, and guess why not, I was told the trees were too tall, and the courier could not fit them in their van??????. How did they collect them from hedges direct then?? if at all they did collect them. I had no phone calls, or emails telling me my order would not be delivered that day. I was then told the order would be delivered on the next day (Saturday the 1st July). I had a email confirming this at 16.29 hours on the 30th June. Today the 1st July, still no sign of my order. I telephoned this company again, asked again where is my order, I was told my order was in transit. After telephoning them again several times during the day, for some more information, and eventually speaking to a manageress at Hedges not Direct customer care, I was told they will not be delivered today, and she could not contact the courier. I had no email or phone calls again telling me my order would not be delivered today the 1st July. So where are we now with my order. My trees that are too tall, sat in a warehouse somewhere not watered for several days and not cared for,,,or have they been miss delivered? . And when will I get my order,? no one at hedges direct will tell me,. And why is that I wonder??. OH I think I know why. ITS BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW. Do I have to give them permission to cut the trees down to a size so their courier,,,who only seem to have low roof vans,,, can get them in their van?? Unreal. SO WHERES MY ORDER???? Just spoken to the manageress again asking when will my order be delivered, the answer I got was she doesn't know, if Hedges direct don`t know who does??. Good grief. Not at all satisfactory, and very very unfair. So as they are held somewhere without care and water ,if, and when I do get these trees delivered, I imagine they will be useless. I am 72 and a pensioner who loves his garden..

Jun 15,2023AVOID THIS COMPANY. Plants never sent, terrible communication. One of the worst experiences I've had recently. I would highly recommend going to a different online retailer that has a better approach to customer service. Ordered hundreds of pounds worth of plants. Never received any dispatch date. Contacted them on 02 Jun and told “you should receive your order by Wednesday 7th June” by Hattie Didn't receive my order on 07 Jun. Contacted again and was told “will be delivered no later than Friday 9 June 2023” by Karen. Didn't receive my order on 09 June. Called them on 09 June that it will be delivered 15 June. Didn't receive my order on 15 June. I've now asked for a refund and let's see if it comes through. ORDER NUMBER: HDW00378771

Jun 10,2023Ordered 34 lavender two litre pots. Not only are they the cheapest on the internet but they are lovely looking plants - actually bigger than I was expecting. So everything great again (last time I ordered the same quantity of lavenders was just at the start of the pandemic and they were great plants too). Also arrived very quickly and well packed. Great experience.

May 30,2023About a quarter of the rosemary plants we ordered were in very poor condition - mouldy, diseased. Repeated emails remain unanswered. A phone call was rudely replied to. This has cost us money and time. Terrible service.

May 27,2023Super experience. Ordered 30 Bare root hedge saplings, a mixture if purple and green earlier this year. They came well packaged and they where soon in the garden. Unfortunately 9 of the 30 have failed. I raised this on the Sunday evening via email with photos of the failed plants and a bit of information and by Monday afternoon I had a phone call from a wonderful lady who couldn’t be more helpful in explained the current growing conditions and that the 12 month guarantee meant they where sending out replacements. The replacements arrived today and look fantastic. I would definitely recommend hedges direct.

May 25,2023Shocking service! I ordered 62 hedge plants and received an email to notify the day of delivery, which I stayed at home for from 8 am to 6pm, as advised, and it didn’t arrive! I phoned the company who informed me that the pallet had been lost in transit and that they would reissue another order for next day delivery using a different courier. Yet again, no delivery! When I spoke to service team they inform me that the courier ‘forgot’ to pack it on the lorry, so 2 days wasted for me staying at home waiting, and for the gardener who was expecting to plant the hedge. Absolutely shocking service ans I would advise anyone buying to consider looking elsewhere as there are plenty of other reputable, and reliable, hedge/plant companies

May 25,2023Very pleased with Hedges Direct. Not only did I find their prices competitive but customer service was great. I had a poorly plant in my order and contacted customer service. I dealt with two customer service people, Chris and Kirsty, and found them very friendly and helpful. A week after my initial contact a replacement plant arrived! This experience contrasts with another company I recently dealt with where once they had my money they didn't want to help at all even though three out of four plants advertised as hardy did not survive the winter. I shall be using Hedges Direct again!

May 24,2023I’ve waited to put a review on for the set of privet hedging I ordered last year as I wanted to see how they grew. They are immense. Ordered bare root plants, followed instructions and I now have a beautiful hedge. No problems from ordering to delivery to quality of plants. Fully recommend.
