Nov 12,2023Disasterous . Ive had two lots of hedging from these guys, one good, one bad. The bad lot we agreed a settlement where I would contribute towards the cost of some new plants . I have tried for 2 weeks to pay for these. The customer services team dont seem to care and simply dont call back, and having emailed the MD in desperation he never even ackowledged the issue. AVOID - there are much more helpful hedging nurseries out there

Oct 25,2023I bought a pallet of Euonymous Green Spire (40 plants @ 50 cm tall) from hedgingplantsdirect.co.uk and I'm very happy with the prompt service and quality. They only took a couple of days to arrive - brilliantly packaged on a pallet, wrapped in cardboard and cellophane. All the notes that I had made on the order about tricky access for the delivery lorry were relayed to the delivery company who followed the instructions to the letter. I got the plants out and they look like they have been very well looked after. They are exactly as expected. I've bought plants from other companies in the past and it's been something of a disappointment - but I am very happy with hedgingplantsdirect and will definitely order again.

Oct 14,2023Phoned company and got through immediately to a really helpful, kind and knowledgeable lady who talked me through my purchase options. I ordered the plants at a much lower price than my local supplier. The plants were delivered in a very reasonable timeframe and were of excellent quality and size for the money. I was kept updated about delivery times and dates by the company and they even took into account the narrow road to our house by sending a smaller truck. Excellent buying experience all round. Well done

Oct 11,2023Ordered 22 green, and 20 golden potted privet plants with a nominated day delivery. A couple of days after placing the order I was advised it would be delayed as they had to replenish stock. Over a week after the nominated day the plants arrived. The golden privet plants were good, but the greens were very scraggly and covered in black spot. I complained by email and the company and I agreed that the blighted green plants would be replaced with 11 golden plants as their stock of greens were in a similar condition to those that I had been sent, and the golden were more expensive. Today the replacement plants arrived. They are not anywhere near the quality of the golden plants that I had previously been sent with many of the pots smashed. Will not be using this company again.

Oct 07,2023I used this company back in the Spring to order some bare root hedging, > Really good delivery - the plants were delivered well and the packaging was really good, the plants were kept nice and fresh. > The plants themselves were really good quality and growing nicely. > I called into the customer service team just to double check something with my order and there was no long wait time on the phone, my call was picked up quickly. I'd say I am a gardener with L plates, I know a bit but not a lot so I found the website incredibly helpful in terms of all the product information, pruning and care advice. Overall, I would really recommend this company. I've had such a good experience and I will be using them for future purchases!

Aug 28,2023This was my first time using this company and I was a little apprehensive as to what I would receive, however I couldn't be happier. The plants that arrived were the height advertised but were much fuller than expected. I am thrilled with the quality and size of the plants received, so much better than anything at the garden centre that matches the price.

Aug 01,2023We bought 13 various plants May 2022. They all looked in good condition, but the 4 pyracanthas gradually started to lose their leaves. I reported this but was told to leave until this summer & assess. Still no improvement so I called again. I was told it's likely my fault, though all others plants are flourishing. Little improvement now, so my 4ft plants are now under 1ft. One year guarantee? not offerered, though it's a good sales pitch.

Jul 26,2023The complete experience with Hedges direct was superb. I had been looking to plant a natural British hedge around my garden, I made a couple of calls asking for advise and was told to hold off until the early spring, and which mix would suit our clay soil best. I ordered 500 bare root plants which came promptly and well packaged with the rooting gell and the instructions online were ideal . Six months later 95% have taken and are doing very well the others have been dug-up by badgers and foxes which was inevitable, if necessary I will order a few more next spring to fill in the gaps but I think the strength of the new plants will easily cover any gaps. I highly recommend Hedges direct. Thank you

Nov 24,2023I ordered 75 Lonicera pileata 30/45cm bare root plants in April 2023 and so far they are doing amazingly. As a gardening newbie the service and knowledge that I received when ordering was very helpful and knowledgeable. The lady I spoke to really couldn’t have been any more helpful she was fantastic! I just contacted the company again yesterday (23/11/23) to get some advice on these for looking after them over winter and pruning. I got a response today, so quick! The advice was great and now I will be pruning them in the new year. Can’t wait to see these grow over the years.
